  1. The 55 lift back? I'm trying to find the build threads of a couple atm. bamboo has one I'm pretty sure so maybe shoot him a pm. There is also a green one somewhere on here as well edit: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/41804-silver-ke-50/page__hl__%2B55+%2Bliftback http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/29063-kjs-corolla-ke55-liftback-deluxe-frog-55/page__p__332817__hl__%2B55+%2Bliftback__fromsearch__1#entry332817 Is that what your trying to describe?
  2. 14x7 or 15x7 0 offset with suitable tyres will fit with minimal work. The best thing to do is go nuts researching other ke70's on the forum (in the rides section). This will give you some idea's on what you're looking for and what it looks like, with the added details on the builds. Hayden
  3. looking sweet dude! keep them updates rolling in!
  4. As usual the woman driver is in the wrong. But in a serious note, you planned for an opening, took action in indicating. You had no room to brake or merge safely due to another driver not being alert to the traffic ahead. Drivers on the road should allow traffic to flow not inhibit it. As long as you're in front of the following car and indicate to change lanes they should make room or loose the front end of the car. Within reason of course
  5. WGMG - 0 posters pm-ing me for an item that was sold months ago, not only is the thread locked but all info about said item was deleted so it had no trace.
  6. Do the hard yards now and go over diff, I think you will thank yourself later. Even if the car is going to be under legal height that system should be able to fit between the diff and body, it will just be a tight fit
  7. ke30/55 lca are longer than 70's. may just be what your after?
  8. yeah a completely new car, I'm going to try and do it right this time, no mods that i can't reverse. I guess you really don't appreciate what you have had till you destroy it. Hopefully be in another 55/30 by the end of the year
  9. That's the plan! gona sell the 4age package, save a little more and pick up a g-spec one, add white walls and just drive it. I'll be back in a corolla, it will just take time to find the rite one
  10. Not really my thing, i enjoy a good much around in the wet but not enough to pay money for it. A road legal cruiser is what I'm after now
  11. the front is not much better and the car must clear DOT inspection, not really in my range of things i can do atm
  12. Looks like it is the end of the road for this old girl. Rust is turning up everywhere :( not easy fix's too, front rails do not look good, either does the gutters. Living on the Gold Coast with such and old car is difficult, especially when i used to drive her to the beach everyday . The salt air took it's toll example rear window sill
  13. You could run it off an amp, no head unit. The only thing visible would be the aux cable. your only downside is if your ipod does not get you don't either mount it under a seat and hide the main wires. pm me if you want an explanation / pics on the car, I love it! nice score
  14. I'm corolla -less for a while and has plans already, pretty sure brad will be doing a course this weekend also. Pretty sure there are no other contributing members that are from the goldie other than us (please prove me wrong)
  15. Give this a good read: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/23475 If you do end up purchasing anything take into account what they mention about the construction of the brace (pivots, bends ect.) PS. It's generally about 86's but the same principles can be transferred to kexx Hayden
  16. In addition i think a lot of members use the forum purely for the technical/ for sale section. I do think people are very interested in you progress (especially the older members). More interest will come to you thread as more people see you around the forum. I myself jump in at any chance to comment on a rides thread and encourage good work, others may read and take in what you have contributed and quietly admire. You clearly have a large background in corolla's and have much to contribute to the forum, so please don't take the lack of interest in a rides thread as a not welcome card Keep it up! Hayden
  17. Nice score dude, whats the plan with this girl, road rego? or just a tracker? Great start!
  18. 5k is your best bet, They bolt straight into a ke55 and the improvement is great. I went from the 4k to the 5k in my car and even though it's just a little increase it changed the feel of the car. These cars can be quick with a 'K' motor but they will not be fast.
  19. Dam that sounds nice up top!
  20. This rig was not rolling around benowa/ ashmore on x-mas day was it? If it was you, your passenger tail light is out
  21. The strut tower tops have been drilled out to suit 86 pcd, holes where old rear bumper was have have been welded over..... with 20 cent pieces haha, guards have been pumped 35mm extra on the rear causing the seem to split, trans tunnel mods, various rust spots left too long. With all that it must go over pits again for a defect Its all fixable to an extent, but the price/ time i would pay is almost worth going to another shell and using the existing car as the donor. All bolt on parts are in good condish, just the shell has issues to be fixed ........ or maybe just re-plate and problem is solved
  22. yeah everyone goes through spells, I was almost at breaking point to sell up but a few mates brought me back to the game haha. Looking forward to it! Um this car on the road looks like a no go, its defected and i have done some pretty stupid things to her that can not be reversed. Towards the future after I get the setup running well I'm hoping to re-shell into another 4 door. But at this point of time everything will be kept on track as i have very tough conditions on my license atm and my job depends on it. My 86 alloy radiator should arrive this week sometime so mounting it up next weekend will be the next challenge.
  23. So I've been hard at work buying all the parts. Today i mounted the t50 using the k-series x-member. looks to measure up quite well. enjoy Scored some almost new tractors uncut loom for a steal clutch gear and a few other goodies all i need now is the engine mounts from NZ and the girl is ready to mount up
  24. As stated corona mags would be the go if you're on a budget, if your looking for some other mags try and score some ssr's or similar but nothing too big, 7j should be fine
