The orange in the picture, same as the front's. It's like a pale orange in real life. They should look trick with the lips polished to a mirror finish

New wheels arrived. lips were overhauled on Tuesday, could not be happier with the results. Now prepping for polish and paint. Extremely happy with the test fit, may have to run a 175/60 just to get it under the guard :dance:

Cheers bud, haven't really gave the idea any thought but it has the right formula to work if fabricated well. But for now I'm concentrating on getting the new wheels reco'd and 5k up o scratch

all good bro hahaha Spotted ke 10 today, overrated green in color, in bundall next to tyre power, was in work truck still on the clock so i couldn't stop :( also a ksev, light brown with factory pin stripe down the side in my way home. It had new school toyota symbol on grill and looked standard. Today 18/10/11 ksev tried to catch me down Ashmore rd, no chance!

Do you have any rust just below the rear window? have a look at the boot hinges feel on the top of them see if it gaters in the bends

Been slowly chipping away at the things to do list. extractors painted, rims paid and sent, interior fixed up, rust is getting attention. I've been really thinking of trying this on my tail lights..... http://csgarage.wordpress.com/2011/03/15/corolla-tail-lights/ It may not be every ones idea of an upgrade but it's something that interests me, I'll pop down to dick smith and the like today and sus out voltages and such for conversion. In other news, the car is running like a champ, but is getting hot like a mofo. ..... something is lodged in the block :hmm: Got some better pics of the front end, enjoy!

I've been working in Wacole of late. Every week I spot a blue ke70 with a maroon front guard, I don't think i see the bloke ever drive it straight, always in some kind of sidways state. I'm surprised he has not been caught yet as the prison is just up the road and undercover coppers troll that place

Steering arms/ steering knuckles do not need to be changed. Have 86 coilovers in my 55, standard steering components. Put pair of 86 coilovers into a mates ke70 2 months ago, same story there. maybe the steering knuckles you were trying to mate with the 86 struts were xt130's or something along those lines

Can you rule out the possibility of water getting into the block/ sump while head was off? My old 5k went under in the Brisbane floods, I flushed it out twice with oil and let it sit for 2 months. After running engine for the first oil change (50k's) there was water under the rocker cover. once the oil was changed for the second time it was all sweet, I know it's a long shot but it may be something helpful

Bonnet cable is snapped sorry, just running an old 4k usually wards the non enthusiasts off. I'm all for helping other rolla lovers out, but this society has become to bad to let every man and his dog look under the hood or get a complete spec list on your car.

Ridiculous Starsharks on the way from j-land, 5k getting preped to go back in, new clutch and extractors. Looking forward to the next few weeks. pics coming soon!

I've been told the new 5ke engines come from the great wall 4x2 utes. super keen to find one and have a look under the bonnet and confirm this... as for the other content of the thread i have no idea, but would love to find out variations/ differences between late model 7k's

Painted the stars pale orange today. love them! now looking to trade off the mesh rims for some more sharkies :D One day ill invest in a proper camera to give the full effect of the car.

I was thinking of a ke10 or 20 front bar. may be able to fit it between the grill and the parkers. just an idea, but will look into if for a little more bling

Took the front bar off today. I mounted the indicators and parkers flush with beaver panel. It something that all of you may not like......

We can't help you if you can't help yourself. Go through the rides section, research various 4age's in corolla's, know the engine bay. Then go out and look at yours and find the differences. Farmilurise yourself with what you have, tinker a bit, understand what you have. If it's carb, have a play with the mixture and idle screws, could be your problem there. Pictures of your engine bay may help us help you, but there is only so much we can do over the internet.
