  10. How come your thinking of using the older trans, wouldn't the newer ones that come with the gen 3 be stronger and have more parts available? I reckon you should at least go mini tubs, you'll have no chance of traction without tubs :lock_folder: is it just for burnouts or drag?
  11. Tune-up timing mixtures clean carby check: plugs leads points coil dizzy cap and rotor button check compression (dry and wet) check fuel pressure and flow and carby float level. and check your air filters not clogged and restricted does your clutch get much slip?, can you smell it burning when you take-off? very unlikely but check brakes for drag, shouldn't have much effect on performance unless excessive its probably one of the things mentioned above, check in order of whats easiest and cheap to whats expensive. Cheers, Rob
  12. images not working. :lock_folder:
  13. How many ks can you get out of a 4K before it dies. Mine has nearly hit 290,000 a couple of welch plugs have started leaking, the front crank seal, rear main and fuel pump gasket leak a fair bit of oil, the timing chain rattles, and theres a fair bit of lifter noise. And on long trips it uses a fair bit of oil. i.e. 1 hour of 80-100 kph = approx 2.5l of oil I'm pretty sure its going to die soon, but maybe not, i hope to get another 30,000 out of it. Just want to know how long the average 4K lasts? Cheers Rob
