hair dryer to make it sticky and pliable, rub with thinners and something soft like a thick rag or teatowel, something soft and non-abrasive (ie: not steel wool). the lighter you do it, the less chance you'll damage the paint, but the longer it will take
i think it's going to damage the paint underneath the strip no matter what
perhaps try on the part that has come off already? just to see how you go
*jumps out of a tree in reverse* HYAH!
i like the idea of a bourbon ninja :ban:
kinda like jackie chan's drunk fighting, except i'd be passed out on the ground and requiring a chalk outline (again), not kicking some dudes ass :ban:
a very nice clean corolla, looks like grandpa's car :ban:
the bump strip stuff does suck, you can take it off but it's hard to get the glue and crap off the paint, they tend to become one after 30-odd years
that being said, if you took them off and did a neat job, i don't think it would be too hard for a good panelbeater to fix the paint up so it looks original and smooth
in australia, we got ae86 3 door liftback, ke70/ae71 4 door sedan, ke70/ae71 4 door wagon, ke70/ae71 2 door panelvan. we didn't get ke70/ae71 2 door sedan, ke70/ae71 3 door liftback, or ae86 2 door sedan. none of these cars are coupes
no way, THAT is phat. a camaro is the epitome of big-block-ness. it needs to be big and tough and loud and i reckon that car fits the bill pretty well :ban:
it even LOOKS like an old camaro :ban: not like that bullshit "monaro" that holden make these days :ban:
and f@$k me, 8.8 litres. should be good for a lazy twin T51R turbo kit :ban:
bit off topic, but why does everyone slam z32s? like sure they're big and heavy and boatlike, but so are jza80s. and you can make big powah out of the nissan turbo v6, like you can make powah in the toyota turbo i6. i just don't see what's so bad about them?
i think you'll find a 13b is illegal. naturally aspirated 12a is the most you can put in in most states. look it up before you get your heart set on it
i'm unsure if diesel and petrol turbos are the same, i believe they have different A/Rs to suit the different flow characteristics of the different engines
if it's a big ugly thing with a holden logo, it's a trimatic
given that your car is a 1975, i'm assuming it's a ke30 (look on the firewall at the vin), in which case it should have a 3 speed toyoglide
you can reference more from the chassis code than the year of the car
K40 and K50 are k engine manual boxes, T40 and T50 are t engine manual boxes
i was under the impression that only some 4k-e and 4k-u engines have had dished pistons. probably something based on year of production? i know i've heard of people getting non-heron heads off 4k-u motors
ae86s have become very inflated over the last few years, but earlier corollas (even ke70s) are still in the realms of realism. this is changing tho, as the stocks of geminis seem to have run out in sydney, mazdas are expensive and woggish, datsuns are expensive and rally-ish. probably the only saving grace corollas have had is that you can't legally put a 13b in one, otherwise they'd be double the price we're all paying for them
what fook said. it looks really silly to be able to see body color thru the radiator support panel, especially on a brightly colored car (that green sr20 ke30 for example), and especially if you've got a grille or bumper package that you want to stand out
