  1. Ke70? They have clutch that engages the fan when it gets hot.
  2. Yeah that's the best bet then swap over to a 4k. Oh and carb changes, cam, exhaust etc is all fine btw.
  3. Going by the ncop (national) it would need to be mod plated as a 20 never came with a 4k and although minimal it is still a capacity increase. Realistically though you would have to get a vigilant cop to notice. ... but considering its out of rego it'll be a problem before you get that far.
  4. Yeah ok fair enough. Your current ecu only got 4 outputs?
  5. Think I paid $80 posted for 4. They we're second hand so know they're genuine. ..just hope they all work. If you're going to run waste spark what about just getting some v6 commo packs?
  6. I built a custom cas about 2 years ago. It's half k half sr20. If you go back a few pages there's some vids of when I made and tested it. I just need to make some brackets for new ls1 coils and I can install it all.
  7. Because pretty much everything was done with 'good engineering practice' there wasn't much at all that needed to change to. All I really needed to do was change the fuel system and address my track issues. Now I can get back onto my other little projects like the sequential injection/quad coils etc.
  8. My new catch phrase - "Just like an 86.... only sicker!" lol
  9. You running rca's?
  10. Rego on Monday
  11. There is genuine corolla ones, they came on xx model 55 coupes and some other full spec wagons etc. I used to have a 38 with a/c and a passenger side mirror. Bloody rare though. For a genuine one expect to pay at least $100. She might just have to except aftermarket as you could get a pair for much less.... or go all jdm and get some fender mirrors. :rolls:
  12. That's a k40 not a t40. All you really need to hook up though is the 2 pins coming out of the other side for the reverse lights. Don't worry about the one out the top.
  13. I ended up getting the federals. Didn't have any grip issues I my quick drive for inspection. Can't wait to give them a good test out in some twisties!
  14. Would have hoped to had it sorted by now. Mod plate inspection was done back at the end of July before I went off on tour, just waiting for it to all be approved and plate issued. Problem is all the rules changed at the start of September so transport was inundated with 80 odd applications of people getting in before the rules changed. My application is still sitting amongst that backlog. I haven't spoke to Steve about it for about a month now so I'll follow up again soon.
  15. In launy at the mo. Come round tomorrow or Thursday night.
  16. Oops forgot top reply to text. Think 27mm would be too much too
  17. What exactly is noisy? It might just be an axle bearing which is relatively cheap and easy to fix.
  18. No not just swapping the calipers.... backing plate too. Then the caliper will be on the front of the disc (where it is on a 55), clear of the steering arms and the bleed nipple will still be on the top.
  19. They are 55 girlock calipers..... which are on the front of the disc on a 55. Swap them over left to right and you will have ample room.
  20. Good to finally meet you too mate! Mmm ribs
  21. So calipers are on the back of the the discs?
  22. Auto probably wouldn't help the situation
  23. 82 starlet would be fwd. You need to look for one from a kp starlet
  24. I had a conversion about it years ago with a mechanic (who also raced) he said you don't need to stress until you're up around 120-130 degrees. I did see that a couple of times with some spirited hills driving so eventually hooked up my oil cooler. Now I don't get any higher than water temps. Volume would also make a difference in how hot you get.
  25. Skyline 4 pots are essentially identical to the sumitomos on a s4/5 rx7, just with a different manufacturer cast onto them. ... ie just get some ajps brackets!
