  1. Oops forgot top reply to text. Think 27mm would be too much too
  2. What exactly is noisy? It might just be an axle bearing which is relatively cheap and easy to fix.
  3. No not just swapping the calipers.... backing plate too. Then the caliper will be on the front of the disc (where it is on a 55), clear of the steering arms and the bleed nipple will still be on the top.
  4. They are 55 girlock calipers..... which are on the front of the disc on a 55. Swap them over left to right and you will have ample room.
  5. So calipers are on the back of the the discs?
  6. Auto probably wouldn't help the situation
  7. 82 starlet would be fwd. You need to look for one from a kp starlet
  8. I had a conversion about it years ago with a mechanic (who also raced) he said you don't need to stress until you're up around 120-130 degrees. I did see that a couple of times with some spirited hills driving so eventually hooked up my oil cooler. Now I don't get any higher than water temps. Volume would also make a difference in how hot you get.
  9. Skyline 4 pots are essentially identical to the sumitomos on a s4/5 rx7, just with a different manufacturer cast onto them. ... ie just get some ajps brackets!
  10. Bare in mind that going from +12 to 0 will give you obviously 12mm more poke, then going to an 8 will stick it out another half inch.
  11. We (aus) can get RB in 4x114..... https://www.rotawheels.com.au/wheels/rota-rb
  12. What car is this for? 55 backing plates are the same as 30. Early 55's had the same calipers as 30's the later had girlock calipers the same as 70's. 30 rotors are also the same diameter as 55 but 2mm thinner.
  13. Ha. Put another blouse on lol. I can tell you that when I put my k-t in the original cable slotted straight into the Speedo drive. Haven't got my w50 any more but pretty sure that was just the same too though. You'd need a matching set of gears though and the output shaft on the w box would no doubt be bigger so the gear would be loose on a k shaft.
  14. Yeah I was quoted $140 for the 195s, you can get them four $111 off eBay but then need to pay freight. The achilies are $145.
  15. Ok so little bit of an update. Have my approval in principal back, only thing I got pulled up on was tyre size. Due to "sectional width" I'm only aloud to run a 205/45/R15 (which doesn't exist) or a 195/50/R15. In which case I'll throw some semi clicks back on so will either be some Achilies 123 or maybe some Federal 595 RSR. If anybody has feedback on either I'd like to hear it. Just finished off my new fuel system. Now consists of a original tank with aftermarket level sender, Carter 4070 lift pump with an aeroflow reusable filter, aeroflow surge tank, Bosch 044, and all line/fittings in aeroflow -6. Things didn't quite fit how I originally planned so there were a few changes in configuration. While I had the boot all stripped out I gave it a coat of primer and some textured under body sealer for durability. When I fix some little rust holes in the lower rare quarters I'll paint the rest out too. Also made up a new panel for behind the tank, scored the material free from work. Its maybe a little to shiny but the price was right. For ease of mounting I also made up an alloy plate which the surge tank and 044 mount to. That tidied things up nicely too. Stripped.... Primed..... Underbody on.... System all finished.... Just waiting on some wheels to arrive now and then I can get my inspections done.
  16. Worth noting also Mazda stopped making 12a parts a few years ago
  17. Ring crow in Melbourne, theyll grind to whatever specs you want provided there's enough meat on the bone. The lady there who answers the phone would have forgotten more about camshafts than most of us will ever know!
  18. Does the ecu have an a/c request wire? My wolf does to compensate for the extra load of the compressor kicking in.
  19. For a while they were selling 86 kits with an aftermarket cast lower stub section as you can see in my picture. Apparently they were to expensive to produce so they stopped making them, I luckily got there last set. Overall length would probably still be the same, mine just has more bare thread. Here's another pic..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=122877
  20. T50 really isn't that much bigger than a k50..... The problem you're going to face though is the ke10 shifter position is even further forward than a 30/55 so regardless of weather you go ķ50 or t50 you're going to have to cut the hole back further. Btw, that k box is actually a k40 not k50.... I know because I took that photo, someone else added the text.
  21. These are mine..... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=124010
  22. How much extra did they charge you for the lowers with stubs? I bought there last set of normal production ones which were much shorter.
  23. Ta22 is the early one which has a ke30-55 shifter position Ae71 and ae86 is the later with a ke70 position 10 tailshafts are probably smaller spline but a 30-55 shaft will also go straight up the bum of the ta22 box
