  1. they were both 13b turbos, but one of them was a datsun 1200 coupe not a corolla.
  2. My rolla does a 16.4 @ 130kmh and the Mazda has done 14.3 @ 150kmh :)
  3. sorry, my bad. lucky I didn't use the well travelled lifters!! :)
  4. Saw a peurto rican ke20 today on speed week, was running a 13bt and doing 7's! :) Sounds like someone should compiling a list of fastest corollas: k's, a's, z's etc, and 1/4 times, top speeds etc......???
  5. you'll have to wait about 2 weeks or so to see!! :)
  6. internal stock except for the cam. yep, over 16 months now of being turbo'd and still going strong. Compression is still over 145psi in all cylinders!! :) :D
  7. just use some 4k solid lifters and push rods you already have! :D
  8. the first one was over next to the uni part of the queen victoria museum and art gallery, thats when I had no exhaust. second one was over the back side of arora stadium off churchil park road under the funny wavey roof of the train shed. Was hoping I might have my **new car** all done by the cruise, but it won't, so I'll have to bring the shitter. :D
  9. just thought I might add a pic of my little weber.
  10. cool :) see where they weld is where the pipe gets a little smaller? thats were it used to finish for a couple of months before it got all of the exhaust on!! :D sounded crazy with heaps of whining before it came on boost, people used to ask me if it was supercharged not turbo'd. might aswell take it for a quick raz with that much exhaust when you first get it running, spose your cops won't be quite as leanient as ours but! :D
  11. :D so did I!! Its pretty hard to do cause for 1 theres the oil fires, but also its hard to get weld to stick to oily metal!! :) Box is looking good though, might just want 1 more rod on that front side so you can get even pressure pushing down the whole way round it. So you got the fuel line and acc cable all sorted out now too? Once you get the fuel pump, cooler and piping idone you must be just about finished now hey? :D
  12. haha, was that at one of the ignition DVD shoots? think I did burnouts at both!! :y: if it was the first one, I only had about 2.5' worth of exhaust and it sounded pretty cool baking it! You gunna be coming on this toyota cruise on the 13th, I probably will be, so you can have a look at it there. :no2:
  13. Thats basically exactly what I started with!!! :y: I'll take some more detailed pics of my box for you and you can just copy it......lease we know the box design works anyway! Use the rounded end in the left of the pic to bolt to the mani, just bash the centre as flat as you can first and drill some holes through. with the other end, cut off the pipe, and block up the hole on the top of the box. thats what that chequer plate circle on the top of mine is for. cut the air filter attachement out of the middle and use the pipe on the side for your inlet. :no2:
  14. :y: She fits ok then?? Yeah the air filter was right up against the front panel in mine, thats whats with the 90o bend to fit it in. the bend is actually the pipe that bolts onto a t25 outlet, and then has the cooler piping start off that!! How does the exhaust fit btw, got him all tacked up again?
  15. Is this the green coupe in Launceston???
  16. yeah for sure, then I'll go swin nuts and stuff!! :( does it have audio?? if so could put it donw in the grill and get some induction noise!!! :'(
  17. Just been sorting a few things today, think I've finally got my plugs sorted!! :( Now running B7ES plugs (only cause they didn't have 6's) and it doesn't really miss fire at all like it was this morning when you ring it out. Me much happy :( Gate pressure on the turbo is 6psi, had the switch on 10, but just about to take it for a thrash on 12psi :'( Yeah you used to be able to hear it on boost heaps, now just got a big induction suck. and the bov is big enough (or in the right spot more to the point) so on high boost I get a big reversion flutter. When the gf gets her 512mb mem card (that I bought her for xmas hehe) I'll have to do an in car vid!!
  18. Cool thanks Casey. Yeah thats the old set up a few weeks back. I just posted all the old pics I still had on photobucket, thats why theres a few.
