  1. Like rob said, use a ke70 exhaust manifold (which is 4-1) and then run "j-pipe" from that to were you want to locate the turbo. My new setup is nearly done now, I'll have some new piccies up soon. You can also use an old set of extractors and cut and shut them to suit as Madrolla68 did, have a look in his "7k into a ke10" thread in the engine conversions forum.
  2. do you already have the 7ke stuff?? if so use that with the turbs! :y:
  3. hey is this Paris Hilton!!! :y: :y: think I recognise that pose!!
  4. hahaha, I know a guy who's hair when it gets long looks just like a brown stack hat!! who can remember those huge monstrosities!! :y:
  5. apparently sitting the engine more upright give you slightly (poofteenth you'd think) more power. As far as I know there is no major issues with doing it. PM madrolla68 though and ask him as I know he has done it. :y:
  6. Hi Mark. wtfbbq!!!! $500 for that car was an offer to laugh at,......not an offer you can't refuse!!!! Should PM him and offer $1000 for his rx7, who cares what frieght from perth would be for that much!! :y: :y:
  7. more than likely ancullen. few months back we put a lightened flywheel on a s4 rx7, now needs a re-tune as it won't idle when its cold. as soon as it get some temp into it, its fine though.
  8. :) the whole roadpacer thing did not come about by mazda wanting cars to put engines in,............it was actually due to GM wanting rotary engines to put in thier vehicles. You are correct about the car being competition to crowns however in a luxury market. Basically GM were very interested in developing a luxury car (schaufer sp? driven) with a rotary engine for its smooth quiet running (a rotary with the standard exhaust is actually VERY quiet and smooth, I should know as I bought a stocker). After trying to design and develop there own engine GM actually bout plans of Mazda's engines to copy, They still had no success and couldn't produce a decent engine even with mazda's plans. They then got GM Aus (Holden) to send 500 HJ Premiers, minus engines and g/boxs to mazda in Japan to have the 13b and auto boxs installed. The power output of the 13b was exactly the same as that of the 202, but with half the torque. Mind you it would have also had twice the rev range!!!! This topic has be done to death on ausrotary.com so if anybody wants more information do a search on there for "roadpacer" in the "general discussion - rotaries and cars forum" you will find many posts. as for the parkway 26, if you aslo do a search for that you will find some pics and details of one being restored in NZ with a 13b bridgy!!!
  9. thanks for that nick. :)
  10. went out to teach the missus how to do toeys last night!........was that fun! :hmm: once I got here to rev it hard enough and dump the clutch hard enough it was all good. :)
  11. burnout comp is at about 1/3 track and its still sticky as from the VHT. to give you an idea, when mine was NA, I could fry second on the street with cheese cutters, same tyres would only just hold 1st in the burnout comp. zaps maybe 30hp!!
  12. I'f you're going to break anything it will most likely be an axle. they'l go befor the centre itself does if its welded well. then if you do break an axle you can still drive it home, .....just don't break 2!!! :hmm: then they're a real bitch to get the broken bits out of the centre. Just a word of warning for pre-pass burnouts nick, the pad itself is slippery as all hell, then the section of track between the burnout pad and the start line gets stickier and stickier. if you fry it on the pad, take the brake off, and power out across the start line it will tramp line an absolute bitch and you'll have a 50% chance of breaking an axle. Thats how I destroyed that axle that I showed you and Tye. to be safe just fry it on the pad, and then gentle pedal it off. I'll have to comendear the rolla for one pass the give you a grudge match!! :) Btw, did you convince your bro to race too!?
  13. what do you need a vehicle/trailer or just someone to help you get it on and off one etc.? I'll probably end up parking with a few rotor boys, but come join the group if ya want. :hmm:
  14. just reminded me I wrote this!^^ well I was close........10+psi saw a 16.4 pass.
  15. whats with the exhaust on that thing Q? looks like its pointing foward sorta like my j-pipe!! PM me how much you'd be looking for the 5k!!
  16. got a 4k you can have for $100 liegh!!
  17. thats just a ke50 isn't it??
  18. small head. hoping i'll be able to get one off adrian, but i don't know if he's racing carts that weekend yet. so i'll let ya know. thanks.
  19. frieght wouldn't be too bad, about $20 each way I reckon which I would be happy with. I would take the crown wheel off it to reduce the wieght a bit, which would have to come off anyway to slide the plates in. the only thing I'm trying to get my head around at the moment is how does the torque actully spread the plates?? It can't be by centrifugal force as the plates would spin across they're width (if you know what I mean)??
  20. yeah it got our attention pretty well! I'd lend you one, but I'm using it. still got sus one for the missus. Wouldn't one of the leonard boys be able to lend you one? Jamies got a road bike, so he'd have to have one. Weather he'll lend it is another story though I suppose!!
  21. I'm currently running a CIG locker, which I constantly get sick off for normal driving, so I would be very interested in one of these units. ;) I could provide you with a ke55 BW centre for a prototype and can test it in a turbo 4k ke55 running 12psi!! obviously I would be happy to pay for materials needed for the prototype. Lemme know if you want me to send you one!!
  22. all you need is a helmet, long sleeve shirt and trousers. ie, just no shorts and wife beaters. fire extinguishers aren't compulsory. last year they had about 40 street cars. normally not heaps of fwd, but always a couple. from what I have seen of you're car up bathurst street that time I rang Q, you might give the exa a good run for its money. that things got a bit of work done to it! did you see the pic above of the engine bay?? As far as entry, you can enter on the day (as most do) or you can now pre-enter at forster st wreckers and you'll get 1 extra championship point.
  23. depending on numbers, you'll get about 6-8 passes in qualifying, then as long as you last in the eliminations. obviously if there is less cars there, you'll get more passes, and vice-versa. gates open 12:00, qualifying @ 2:00, racing (eliminations) @ 7:00, then burnout comp once racing is finished. cummon Cam, you know you want to!
  24. next week end!! ;)
  25. hey Leon. Turn off for tarmak is 2km south of Symmons Plains on the high way, theres a big sign. turn up that road and travel for another 3-4km and you can't miss it. :D admission fee for spectators is $15 or $20 with a pit pass (very recommended) so then you can come see us and the cars. ;)
