decided to install radiator and fmic so got a alloy radiator for a nissan s14 then made up a steel brace for the front cross member as stock ones requires some trimming for the radiator close up of welds radiator dummy fitted to check fitment/bonnet clearance with brace installed still need to make up the mounting brackets will make them next few weeks and start installing fmic but etch primed it all to stop rust/corrosion

its a tomei m8280 as thats the only one tomei make for vvti 1jz

vinyl painted the rear seats black + made new rear side interior trim panels same as front door cards interior is now looking much nicer

made new door cards , from masonite , foam and black marine vinyl new carpet with new door trims and rx7 seat installed

for last few weeks been working on making seat rails for my s5 fc3s seats finished and painted while paint was drying started installing new moulded carpet (which sucks to do sooo bad) rail installed back in car with new carpet was dark this evening by the time i finished trimming the carpet down and intsalled the seat so pics will have to come next weekend

you can buy bottles at gasweld then only pay for gas when you need it , which is usefull if you don't use it all the time think you pay a little more for gas but no rental fee anymore

manual is definitely more fun for a weekender

that completely depends on wheel width and spoke design , they are not all the same

3k with t04 single setup and manual trans that is some very wishfull thinking i'd say add another 10k unless your soarer is a manual already the r154 gearbox that they come with is around 2k alone

wouldnt it soften better if you heated it up red hot and let it cool slow as possible , not quenching it? thats normally how you harden metals edit: seems after a google search some coppers do soften with quenching

man thats a huge turbo for a sr20 , full boost around 6k at a guess , and i was thinking my 3076 turbo was too big for sr hahahahaha

rather large turbo gt35r sized? isnt that illegal having front mount hang out like that?

so no body has tried to bolt other k series seats with mounts/rails into another series? and found out what does and doesnt fit

twin turbo is a waste of time and money , properly sized single can spool sooner and make more power how much work can you do yourself? (mechanical,fabrication,wiring +have all tools ect) does this include the car or need to buy that too? as that will factor in whether it can be done for 10k ,it all adds up very quickly with only 10k you will want an engine made for forced induction to begin with in my opinion be able to do all the work yourself if its just an initial 10k to start with and don't mind spending more as you go its not so much of a problem but if strict 10k knowing what parts you need/want before you start then add it all up for a proper budget and go from there

bringing up an old topic but does anyone know if ke55 seat rails will bolt into a ke30 coupe or which if any other ke seat rails will? not after seats just the rails/mounts ,can't find ke30 ones in nsw cheers,Matt

kind of answers your own question doesnt it? intake plenum ect would be included as part of the engine used for emissions

are they for looks or function? if looks i agree with you wide and back if for function shouldn't the best airflow path dictate position?

his profile says he is in QLD and that is why his engineering cost is much less in nsw its normal for $900 + :( , my last car in qld cost me $165 :D

welded up trans tunnel cover today then etch primed it,pleased with how it turned out. Will use some tar sealer inside tunnel when gearbox/ engine is out

how did you know how much bigger to make it for the sr20 and gearbox then?

was the motor and gearbox in when it was made?
