  1. Cheers Si. Was only in that section last night can't believe I missed it. I'll have to check funds after all my purchases. Btw huge thanks for putting me onto Todd. Saved a heap of headaches. I'm trailing 4age main cap bolts later this week when I get my mates new 4agte engine done, if they fit its another win for us forced fed k guys. Stu.
  2. Thanks for all the kind words guys!!! some teasers for ya`ll. 38mm wastegate ARP head studs More to come!!! stu.
  3. Cheers for that Mitch. Had a look it's an early w40 from what I can see. I'm more after the later one from a 7k townace. The later ones are a bit easier to get. Stu.
  4. That's a cheap 5k Ben. Be interesting to see how a blown 5k would go in a 55. I know how they are in a 1x well from the drivers seat of one I never got a chance to race my setup.(damn). Well now I got a r31 LSD and on the hunt for a kr42 "w" series box and it will then cop anti-lag launches!!! Forgot to pick up 4age main bolts from mate yesterday when I put together his forged 4agte short. If anyone wants a quick leg up into a forced "k" Ke-1x I know of one that could be pried off the owner at a reasonable price. Stu.
  5. That was shane's old 20 wasn't it?
  6. Rod bolts wouldn't bother Mitch. By the time you prep em(even working in the industy) should end up same if not dearer than buying spool rods. I've got a 4age and a couple of "k's" at home so in the next couple of days I'll try a 4age bolt in my 5k and let you know. Stu.
  7. Nice find Tate. How's pasco vales treating you re? Stu.
  8. The outer edge of the backing plate needs to be bent out of the way to clear the bigger rotor and bang instant stop!!lol stu.
  9. You won't be able to get solid lifters through Holden unless you can still get red motor Holden 6 lifters from them. I can help you out I have a speed shop account. A bosch vl/vl turbo/vn v8 pump is what you need they are big enough for 180rwkw in a rb30 turbo. Can be purchased from autobarn, repco or any autoparts store. Welcome to the addiction that is a boosted "k". Lol. Stu.
  10. I've got a spare vbelt pulley. Probably make 6-7psi on a 4k(if not a bit more). It has the support bearing for it put you will need the front clutch thingy to bolt it(which I can show you how to mod it for direct drive. I have drilled and tapped the pulley for direct drive. Free to good home you pay postage. It will atleast get you going. Stu.
  11. Ok dug up a few bits of info off the spool website and 4/5k rods are: pin dia = 18mm/.7087" big end = 45mm/1.7717" center to center = 120mm/4.7244" what you'll need to do is measure compression height difference between a 3k and 4k piston and what ever the difference in piston height(center of pin to deck) is what you'll need in rod length change but with a bigger pin dia. Now I have some info I can hunt a bit for you at work and see what I come up with. Stu.
  12. "Spool imports" do a 5k(as advertised) conrod they can be purchased on the net and shipped to you(Aus based company). Compared to custom made ones are very reasonably priced $550aud is better than what carrillo would ask. I think there would be enough material in the to machine the little end out and push in right sized bushes. Are you able to "eye up" measure the difference in compression height between the trd ones and a STD 4k piston? Maybe a good chance to look at a little offset grind stroker. Might be able to find an offshelf conrod that may work, to do something a little different. I have a bit of info at work in our books I may be able to let you know what rod will work. If you end up buying to venolia pistons later. Pm me and I can help you out with making them last a bit longer. Just take an hour of your time.
  13. Yep may 2011. Fast 4's and rotary's. Has a red late mod evo on the cover. Stu.
  14. haha cheers mate. Not a feature but two small photos of side view and bay shot. Still a big surprise though. Soo hanging out for more boost. Stu.
  15. The overrated 63 ute is at his place. But the 64 ute & sedan and the crown ute are at his parents farm in the shed. I'm heading out to my mates place either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday I'll grab some shot then. I'll also ask if he can email me a couple of his old 55 crown. He is also interested in joining tccav so we might have to join together. Stu.
  16. Yeah that's a really good point Adam. We didn't look too much into it when webers did his, as his is only a daily driver. We did use bendix ultimate pads not sure how they'd handle a bit of track abuse though. Stu.
  17. Spotted the CLEANEST "63" tiara ute last night. It's a new purchase by my mates next doory after selling his brand new condition white with red interior 55 a series crown. I hate him sssoooo much lol. But that not all in the sale of the tiara is a rough 64 ute and sedan(I hate him even more now). I'll be heading to my mates this weekend and I'll get sum photos. Have I mentioned I hate him. Lol. These things are sick and I've been begging him to sell me the 64 ute but he is wanting to put a 18rg in it. Stu.
  18. Cheers, neither can I lol. But dads datto should be done in two weeks so it will be all system go with fabricating manifolds, and catch cans etc at a mates shop. The shots in fast fours are with the old blown setup. So I'm keen to get it in with the new setup too. Stu.
  19. Not an update but got an awesome suprise today!! One of the workshops(does v8 supertaxi mufflers) in the laneway at work advertises in fast fours, zoom etc. He says to me "got some mags today from the rep. And there is a rolla similar to yours in it". I'm like it's prob stix's sr ke20 or even oke's phsycotic wepon, but no it's a supercharged white ke-11. MY white ke11 and it's in "Fast Fours"!!!!! Dad owns a 2nd gen MPS3 and we whent to a dyno day at HPF months ago in my rolla. We get to HPF and the guys running It come rushing over taking photos of the car and the other guy who just happens to be a Toyota freak start asking q's about it etc. Not thinking that a couple of these shots would end up in a mag I show em everyhing but didn't get it on the dyno as taking it was a last minute desicion. So yeah I'm sssoooo f'ing stoked!! It's in the may edition of fast fours with a red evo on the cover page 42. From all my rambling you prob think it's a feature but no just two little photos and no write up but that enough for me. Stu.
  20. what makes you say that? The pistons I make at work have a "measure point" of around 5mm dia. It will just eat the rings a bit quicker. A bigger pin = stronger as it will spread the load better. But then you need either Trd or custom conrods. Also cheaper ain't better!!!!!!! Arias, Ross and JE are the only three in the US to use. Much better material than anything else over there. Stu.
  21. Yeah we looked at the twincam.org threads years ago. Now it all comes back to me. Leigh used the 258mm rotors (ae92 gti/sx) the camry calipers are a bit bigger than the ae92 ones. It's also easier and cheaper to find sv21 calipers than the ae92 ones. Stu..
  22. Hey Matt, Leighroy has a sv21 Camry setup in his "82". Stops awesome. Think it involves sv21 calipers and the ae92 gti disks was pretty much bolt straight up. I'll be seeing him tonight I'll ask what was involved. Pretty sure he has the disc part number he used. He's not all that keen to part with the coilovers sorry. His STD struts were stuffed apart from the springs and the coilovers were same price as new sealed struts with springs and a big rear sway bar. I'd fix the issues with the big block first then save for coilovers they were only $1200. Only my opinion though. Stu.
  23. Ha nice. Was that still a 8v twin cam? Ive seen a twin cam red motor head before, must have gotten mixed up with the guy in Qld that does or used to do twin cam heads for Holden and Ford 6's. The best aftermarket t/c head for a mass produced engine I've seen is my mates KAD "a" series mini head. These things were massive in the 80's. Still has the pushrod camshaft to run oil pump and dizzy. Micks sports sedan is out of control! Revs to the moon and the 8" wide slicks help too. Think he has a class lap record at Phillip Island too. I will get photos when it comes back from the machine shop. Engines even crazy built ones don't last long spinning them to 11k lol. Stu.
  24. Ah looks alot like the last generation repco brabham v8! The waggot stuff could be found on an early Holden forum. Stu.
  25. I'd replace "good body" to "rusty as f&$k lightweight body" lol. On the new rear setup think I might be onto you. Ive seen a setup on my mates datto roadster that I liked and been considering doing it for while but had other things to do. He got his idea from an ovlov forum too. Not telling either. Stu.
