Well that's what we wanted to hear!!! Stu.

Bore spacing center to cente on both my 4 and 5k is 90mm Close as I could get with "very near calipers". Stu.
-
Would have cringed because if pin size. Pretty sure most dam pumps run .792" pin diameter, which are the only engine to run this size gudgeon pin. Pretty sure if compression height and bore were close enough you could with a bit of creative machining get it to work. So your theory of going to a 7k is so you don't have to run as much boost? So not needing forgies? I should have photos of my new pistons loaded up in a few weeks. I've got to finish cyl head chamber design so I can work out bowl size. I'm mainly like Phil-keto collecting parts until I get dads fj20t datto conversion done. I've got turbo, tial gate(38mm external), head studs, haltech e6x, manifold flanges, throttle body and waiting on rods to arrive. Now I need fmic and injectors so my mate and I can start fabricating stuff which is when you guys need to keep an eye on my build thread. Stu.

I'd imagine it would be same as 3,4k rockers. Make sure you check lifter preload at the same time if you have changed the cam. Stu.

Sorry double iPhone post.

Do you still need these measurements? If so how accurate do you need it? I have a 4k that I could chuck in the Bridgeport and plot out with a digital read out if needed. Otherwise can vernier it up tonight. I believe that the center to center would be the same for 3,4 and 5k engines. Good to see people going for something different. Oh and if you haven't got the skills to make a pattern and core setup for a new head to be cast up expect a bill to make that of around 2k plus then getting it cast. We pay $600 to get a pattern setup for cast pistons. Stu.

Haha nice. Been on to that idea for a while. I'll shoot up picks on my rides thread when I get to that bit. I've got a fair amount of fab work to do before I get to that. Jake that speaker set up is sweet super stealthy and not one bit parcel shelf was cut. Stu.

Bit of an update. Scored a new Tial 38mm polished top external wastegate on egay for $175 including postage!! Really wanted a black one for stealth purposes but for that price I'm not complaining.lol I've also now got a 4k short for fab purposes thanks to Ewt (woz and josh) and also the man Mhmills for picking it up for me. I'll give this a freshen up after I've finished with it and offer it for cost to someone on here. So soon I'll throw the dummy setup in and get it up too work and get started. That's when the picks will come and heaps of them too. Stu.

Seen this beast today. It will be one sweet "55"!! Nice to meet you in person finally and thanks again. Ssooo jelous with your 7k dizzy/cas. Still only took 1hr 20min to get home with a bit of traffic at bolte exit then overrated all way home oh yeah and a maccas stop to. Stu.

Hanging to see some shine on this baby soon!! Looking great!! Cheers for the 4k guys it will go to good use. Stu.

How Many Ke36/38 Corollas Are There In Victoria?
kickn5k replied to JJT036's topic in VIC / Melbourne
A toymods member can't remember his name. Has a real nice silver wags. See it every now and then. Stu -
Whiteline bought out selby sway bars and aren't doing low volume stuff. The selby brothers have opened a new shop "signiature stabilizer bars". They can be custom ordered too. I got mine from my local Peders. Stu.
-
It looks like it's got an early 3k rocker cover though. Only one breather/pcv hole. Stu.

If it's ok to bring a datto 1600 along and it's done I should make it. Rolls won't be done for a while. For all interested "crazy" puts on a great cruise!! Been on a few he's done and all Have been great days. Stu.

Well it looks like I've sold the supercharger kit!!! Awesome now I'll be using that coin to buy the haltech, spool rods and a tial 38mm external gate. I believe I could have asked more for it but I got what it owed me minus my r&d time. Not complaining one bit I got what I asked for and was happy I didn't have to advertise and it's going to someone that wanted everything and near enough plug and play.ha I've got to get dads 1600 done and then I'll be hard at it!! I will keep the updates coming though, got a few things I need to get photos of and post up. Stu.

+1 for me too Is this car getting a v70r motor too?? Stu.
-
Cheap "no name" oven cleaner is awesome for removing carbon off piston crown and cyl heads. Stu.
-
Happy 21st b'day Woz!! Lol. Colour looks awesome good choice. Spewin about the gun, hope you keep your chin up mate good to see someone your age go through a project properly and not rush things. This is going to be one sweet van/wagoon!!! Stu.
-
Ouch so seeing as you were close to 30deg btdc did that make it 60?? Lucky you only lost a gasket then. Stu.
-
um just wanted to scare the shite out of my mates. Lol. And max out the 3bar map sensor on my haltech. Oh and seeing that it's been put out on the worlds fastest k powered rolla thread I wouldn't mind seeing as I want to keep it manual having the most powerful k on here. But I'm not sure if i will achieve this but if it scares my mates then it's a win in my book. Stu.

First off I'd use a au engine they are crank cradled and cross bolted main caps. Dude don't listen to anyone that hasn't played with a big boosted ford 6!!!!! Au engines are good for 350rwkw STD and yes it's been WELL proven. The guy doing my manifolds that works next door to work has a xe with a au engine big Garrett roller with LPG car makes 500+rwkw and has run low tens and high nines for the last 8yrs with the same ed xr6 borgy so they can't be too weak. Has similar setup in a mustang that made 600rwkw and off trailor ran 9.80 at mid 140mph!!! I say do it!!!!!! Ps a twin cam will be a mission to fit they are too tall even for a e series without a scoop/hump in the bonnet. That's my 2 cents. Stu.
-
Haha yeah I'd thought before I did the sc setup that 80rwkw would be awesome in something as light as a ke-1x. Nearly made that with a STD 7k fpr and injectors(well Maxed out) but setup properlly made 95 then 104rwkw and I've been wanting more ever since!! So F'yeah I'm power hungry. But back to blowin boxes and diffs it's all down to how they are treated, the weight of the car v's torque. A member on here with a STD 7k with a set of twin carbs and extractors has been through a few "k" boxes and one diff I think but the car would be about 200kg heavier than my 11. I do make HEAPS of torque though(I don't even think of going back to 4th @ 100km/h don't need to). Only decision now is to either plumb the gate back in or run a fully sik dorifto screamer pipe lol. Stu.
-
Lols. Yeah I don't believe the diff will be in for long. I'll call you tonight and try an org something. I may have someone to help with your ecu setup too. Stu.
-
Well I've pulled the 5k out of the rolla and the bores look overrated. So I can keep it STD bore and keep a bit of strength in the block. So now the new setup will be: motor: 5k sps forged pistons spool conrods o ringed block arp head studs big dollar cylinder head induction: 28 series roller turbo off jdm s15 custom steam pipe exh manifold with 38mm tial external gate custom alum inlet manifold haltech e8 or e6x ecu other goodies: relocated alternator to other side of engine custom catch can and overflow. Let's see how long the import k50 and STD diff last at 25+ psi haha. Stu.
