  1. The 5k never came with efi from factory. But the 4k and 7k did so you will most probably have one of these manifolds. What does the manifold look like, does the plenum sit beside the head or over it? For a dizzy i`d look for an external ignighter electronic one(i think they are from the lightace 5k)which will work with an aftermarket ecu. As for ecu look on ebay for a reasonable priced secondhand one. Stu.
  2. Sorry got a bit confussed. My bad. Yeah the old "D5", man can't bag it what so ever. Did me well for a couple of years. I have some early 90's fast four mags and have found some early microtech adds for the digi1. So I'd expect it to be about 20ish years old and was still going strong when I sold the setup to it's new owner. Should be a photo of it in my rides thread lol. Stu.
  3. At the wheels man!! My old 5kze setup made that way lean on 6psi as we couldn't get it to load up. Put a rising rate reg and some bigger injectors and ended up making 102rwkw on 9psi. Wouldn't imagine it'd be that much different with a carb as I only had a microtech D5 analog ecu(abacus, can't call it a computer lol) and a locked dizzy. Want more now so hence the new setup. BTW why not a 5k???

  11. Haha yep it's tight in a ke-1x and I'm using a gt28!!! You can make room by relocating the alternator to the other side and run a full fabricated stainless bott rad hose. I'm still undecided if I'm going to do this but I'm running efi so it will be a bit different. Also have a look at madrolla68's rides thread(you might have to dig a bit it's a really old thread) he had a 5kte ke-10 and managed to keep the turbo nice and tight.

  14. First of all thats a very neat bay. Fab work looks trick and seems to be a well sorted setup. Would be fun in a 55!! Do you control ignigtion through the wolf with an external ignighter dizzy or is it running fuel only? I loved the sc on mine the sound was awesome and 100rwkw in a ke-11 aint bad either. But gave in to the idea/ball breaking of the shop next door "lets turbo it!!!" so i sold the complete efi and blower setup and now starting from scratch. Keep up the good work. stu.

  17. If anything maybe paint the inner wheel arches black. That's it, looks pretty overrated to me. I'm really starting to like these quad headlight ke70's. Stu.
  18. Bbrraaaahahaha. But then were are they going to put all the sub boxes or air bag tanks??? Oh also do you just run the trigger wire for the regulator(off the plug) to the charge wire post? I had mine running to ignition power but had big issues getting charge, changed to the battery or charge wire post and all good. Keen to know of any other ways to do is all. Stu.

  20. Hey Evan, if 80amp isn`t enough the calais/statesman/caprice V8 ones up to VP/VQ s2 are 120amp which I'm pretty sure is what i have in mine. Well thats what i orded anyway. Queensland starters and alternators did it for me(mate had the factory next door). Gave 13.9v at battery which is in the boot, with all electrics on including high beams indicators, thermo, cd player, 2 fuel pumps, ecu etc. :dance: lol. I didnt notice any loss in power mainly cause in the whole s/c upgrade i needed a bigger alt to cope with the extra stuff i was running. stu.

  24. Hey man check out "pozman's" ke-55 rides thread. He vinyl wrapped his lip spoiler with 3m stuff looks tuff as but I think it looks awesome in the last photo with the windscreen band. Ive said it before and I'll say it again "I'm not a big sev fan but f&$k I love this beast!!! Stu.
  25. My sc/12 had those too. Was connected to a solenoid on mine so I removed it all and used the rubber vacuum block offs. I presumed it was for sensing over boost and/or low throttle and would cut the power to the clutch and let it free spin a bit. But I may be wrong. So it looks like those arp part numbers were right then. Stu.
