  1. Yeah it's nice having a mate with a dyno. Such a shame your mates car. My mate next door has a slide window that he's just finished and the metro 1275 with a cam and dcoe weber hauls arse. Could only imagine one at 20psi would be nice. I would have thought that su's were mainly used for draw through setups and a dcoe type for the blow through. But it seems the su can be blown through with a few mods. If I were on a budget it seems like a good alternative. Stu.
  2. Ha nice isn't it. I think I'm going to have to come up and check it out in person. Was good to meet you the other week Gavin. And thanks again for the engine mounts. Hope you have a safe trip back home. Stu.
  3. Boots painted Jono? If so looks sick. Stu.
  4. Go Mitch!!! Your famous. Stu.
  5. So has this been fitted to a ke1X? Very interested to see If this works with a 1X frontend. Stu.
  6. Ouch. Most dyno shops charge around $100/hr. So thats like $2400 in dyno time plus parts. For that money it doesnt make sense to stay carby. You could have a full sequential efi setup and tuned for less than that. And it WILL give you the drivability and economy that carbs only dream of. If your going to buy a lambda gauge setup spend the money on a good one. The cheap ones don't react quick enough for boosted stuff. Stu.
  7. Yep. Don't forget these KE-1X's only weigh 720kg factory. Not much weight to pull up. Do you have a diff conversion? As you'll need the bigger rear wheel cyl to offset the pressure lost through the bigger front caliper. Even then maybe a bias valve might also be needed. Stu.
  8. But then how are you going to fit 13" wheels??lol. I run KE-70 disks on the front of mine with KE-30 wheel cyl in the rear drums to get the brake pressure right and a KE-10s disk brake master cylinder(no booster). Stops overrated repeatedly. This would not pass engineers as it is only a single circuit master cyl. homerke17 has similar setup to mine in his sprinter except a dual circuit master and the fronts are boosted with a remote mount booster. It is plenty of stop for a standard 4agze to pass engineers. And make him happy too. This is the biggest setup you'll get on a early corolla strut. The hoppers stoppers kit will not fit on a early rolla strut(KE-1X) I've tried. Need like a corona or celica strut for em. But things may have changed. But they are an awesome package and if your going to change struts well worth the money if not more. Engineers love the hoppers kits. My suggestion is to have a look at some rides threads of some KE-1X's with engine conversions and see what they use. Stu.
  9. Yep you sure did jimi. 1 Alfa. 3 mini's(including a sweet twin throttle body efi setup) 1 monaro(a real one not a late mod POS) and about 25+ Toyota's!!! Oh not to forget parrot's drift spec Renault!!! Stu.
  10. Just spotted a KE-1X on American pickers!!! Just a front shot so far.
  11. Man you just need one of protorque's $8 Special head gaskets.lol cheap fix until you get the banger done. FTMFW!!!!!!! My 8 bucker loved boost. Had a hard time prying the head off after 2 1/2 years of 9psi. Stu.
  12. Mine stayed stuck for 2 1/2 years. I checked it when I took it all out and was still perfect. You should be right with a good metal adhesive though. Stu.
  13. I have a "Clive cams" 4k solid regrind. Can't remember all the specs but I remember him referring to it as a 112@40 grind. Stu.
  14. Wait you guys were at the meet on the weekend?? Spewin I didn't get to meet you guys. I was a passenger in Pozman's white KE-55. Ollie is looking great guys hanging to see the beast rolling along. Stu.
  15. Hehehe fixed. I had a 12psi pulley on the blower but I either had belt slip issues(which i couldnt hear)or when I blocked off the vacuum/boost ports it made it de-seat the seals when it tried to go past 9psi. I've informed the new owner that he needs to plumb it back together so when it's up and about it should be interesting to see what it makes at 12. Id imagine with 12psi and same cam it would be around 110rwkw. Stu.
  16. I've just had a vicroads vass engineer go over my dads fj20et datto 1600 that I've nearly finished. I was told MAX I could get engineered in Vic was 40mm front and 60mm rear, in total. Stu.
  17. Your wanting to lock the dizzy? If so just tie the mechanical advance setup together with some mig wire or similar. All I used for my supercharged 5k. Stu.
  18. I call VIC KE-1X photo shoot!!! Well when mine is done atleast. Haha. Stu.
  19. No but yes Jono. I have 20 struts in mine with 20 balljoints and 10/11 arms. Not good if your trying to get neg camber. The 20 balljoint needs to be tack welded into the 10 arm. I'm doing a new setup for mine so keep an eye on my rides thread. Oh and I might have to tooling soon to mod 10 steering arms for 20 balljoint shafts soon too. Keep y'all posted. Stu.
  20. That looks sick man I'm doing mine like that!!!!!hahaha But seriously it looks pretty good. Your going with some form of signage/logo on the side aren't you? I saw a mustang "pace car" at the last Phillip island classic. It was cream with the signage half rubbed off then flat cleared, it looked awesome. Just a thought. Stu.
  21. I get major looks and thumbs up in the ke11. I've only had one mate rag me about it. My mate who has a 10sec Torana used to hate it until I supercharged it and took it for a drive, now loves going round corners and has a modded '07 sti for a daily. I do hate mates wives/girlfriends that say it's cute. Stu.
  22. Good to hear you've still the wags. That motor you sold Dwayne sounds awesome(small world hey). No power figures yet. He's still running the engine in, and weather hasn't been kind. Stu.
  23. The wheels you were telling me about last week? If so they will look super tuff!!!!! Stu.
  24. Dick Johnson describes winton raceway. "winton it's like running a marathon around your clothes line". Stu.
  25. Congrats on your son. Amr blower? Jake's old setup? Stu.
