Ha I was wondering if anyone else has priced a geni rx8 motor? My mate who is a service manager at our local Mazda dealer got a wholesale price through his spares dept. How does $10,000 sound for a new rx8 eng and again is a wholesale price that don't include fitting or hang ons etc. Who said rotary performance was cheap? Stu.

Good to here cooling system is sorted. Also good to here your getting a bit if use out of it. Was a few years ago when I went down with a mate to see if he'd build him a full house 13b turbo motor as he was sick of it going bang at 25psi on 98 pump juice. He'd just sorted the isotropic setup. Sort of sells itself I think. Stu.

Hey roosa are you not running a fan shroud? I think that may also help a fair bit as it should make the air pass through the fan thus making the fan work more efficiently. Rohan has some sweet machines down there dosent he. That isotropic finishing he does is pretty nice stuff thinking of getting my 5k crank done when I do the turbo setup. Good luck with all your teething issues. Oh and from what I here with rotors "if it ain't loud it ain't fast. Lol stu.

From memory was from a seller called bugzy's custom fabrication or simillar. It's set up with pipe threads welded on so you can use bolt in barbs or speed flo fittings. It's pretty well made for $100 too. Byron will love boost and will soon be saying "daddys car ppttsssshhhh". Like my mates son says stu.

Getting back to your question "is a 5k and 5spd worth the change?". I'd say a big YES for sure. Even if you just change to the 5spd would be a great start. My ke 11 before i supercharged I'd had a mild 5k with twin su's used to make 48rwkw and return like 6ltr/100km. Stu.

I saw this on the stand at the shop your mate works at. The fabrication work looks awesome in person. I still have to take my 5kze ke-11 to show them before I pull it all of for a roller bearing turbo conversion. The whole car looks the biz great work!!!

I'd be thinking he was a toymods member, I introduced myself they seemed nice enough but I can't seem to remember there names. What a great day!!!!! Had a play with the tune on the way home. Now no more smokey rolla!!!! Fuel economy is a huge improvement, I'm not sure of excact numbers but it seems to have gone from 17lt/100km to about 12 or lower. Anyway big thanks to Brendan and his dad for organising a great day. Congrats to Matt for quickest lap time. Roosa what does the oil look like in the rolla? Might just be a bit thin for a sustained drive. Photos don't do your car justice I love it. Stu.

My old setup in my ke-11 was: 5k k50 10.5:1 comp small crow cam STD decked head with slightlly beefier springs twin 1 1/2 su carbs 4 into 1 pacemakers 2" exhaust made 47rwkw but didn't get a printout.
