  2. Should have some realistic torque figures within the nexts two weeks. Toymods have a dyno day on! The dyno that will be used is a different brand to the one i use, so we will see.
  3. Spewing this time of year is full on for me. If i don't go to the Nostalgia drags in Bairsdale that weekend, i`ll at least come to the meet for a look see. Its a bit hard for me to go on night cruises at moment as my alternator is not up to the task of running ECU, 2 fuel pumps, injectors, thermo fan, lights and tunes(although only a head unit and 6x9`s) stu.

  6. Yeah i have a heap of pics from the EFI conversion. I have to get my phone to syc with my pc. Or find the sd card adapter. hopefully tomoz. Si, Thats out of the rolla thought you were talking about the rota at first. If gearing is same as mine i sit on about 3,400rpm at 100km, which is on boost and just when cam kicks in. Not a receipe for good consumption. :hmm: stu.
  7. No the engine wasn`t rebuilt when i efi`d the 5K. But was reringed and a cam put in it when my boss had it. i finnished and drove that for 2 1/2yrs and put about 10,000km on it then it was ready for boost. I`ll put forgies in it When it decides it needs them. Comp is from what Madrolla68 tells me"as i was tooo lazy to measure myself" is about 8.2:1 static. Thats using std 5K bowl top pistons with a 4K flat top piston cyl head. T.P.S i think only tells it to get off idle circuit. But not too sure. Yeah webers4x48 wired in the D5, its 10 wires from memory. The battery is in the boot as the KE-1x bay is too damn small stu.

  9. OUCH :) Your cars thirsty as bro. must have been pretty parched ay. My 16.5ltr/100km was mainly crusing, considering sunday drivers on the Great Ocean Road doing 50-60kmh in 80 zones :dance: stu. P.S. fitted a catch can i got off a mate will see how soon i can fill it.haha Hope it stops her from spitting rocker cover gaskets.
  10. :) Wow thanks. I still have to tidy the old girl up a bit, none of the photos show the 15yr old acrylic paint that hasn`t been rubbed back and polished. Oh and the small amount of rust under the filler. Will get around to fixing that soon. stu.
  11. Yeah it shocked the hell out of me too!! Not sure on figures. I whent for a steer last night and that would usually eat allmost half of my 35ltr tank. It only seemed to use not quite a 1/4. As my speedo reads off its hard to get acurate figues but i`ll fill it up and go on a 100km run fill it up again and work it out from there. stu.

  13. Well it seems i have fixed the economy a bit just turned the warm up enrichment to near off. Heaps better now. But it seem to get a bit of blow by so a catch can will be made soon. stu.
  14. Oh yeah man i`ll second that!! It bites real hard too. Go for a big cam screw drivability and bottom end. :P I have 8.5psi and that pulley equation says i should have 12 :) Addiction is telling me i NEED that 12psi!! :yes: Keen to see a couple of photos of the charger sitting in the bay. Good luck with it all, trust me the first drive is allways worth all the effort!
  15. I finally got a chance to see this thread nice build!!! I don't think my su`s would work too well as they are only 1 1/2" and wont supply enough air over 6000rpm. That solex would prob do the trick though. This quad carb setup would be sick!!! Are they a flat slide carb!! I have been thinking about a quad flat slide setup for a 3k. Would make power upto 10,000rpm id think. :D What are the rest of the cam specs? stu.

  18. I spotted what i think would be that CA-18det powered K-sev and a White turbo(of some description) K-sev at a mechanic shop in the Dandy area. Silver one has early supra wheels. I have one more spotted that i will post up when i find out if its for sale or not. I need it bad!!! Some will know what I'm talking about. stu.
  19. I'm using the high imp 4AGE 100kw injectors i think they are about 250cc. And running about 44psi of fuel press at idle. A little too small I'm thinking for the injectors, but seems to be plenty rich enough though. the lambda readings are about 0.90 under boost and 0.68 at light throttle. Havent asked sparrow how often the dyno is calibrated, i will do tonight. I was also thinking that ej20 wrx injectors would probably work aswell. They are a high imp 320cc injector. But all that will come when i decide what ecu ill get. stu.
  20. Torque is a little of a contensious issue, I had a r33 gts-t on the same dyno last week made 885nm and 220rwkw then on a Dynopac dyno it made 395mn and 215rwkw. So i feel the power is close enough but torque is a bit of a guess i spose as different dyno`s figure it out differently. Id guess its at least half of what the dyno spat out. I'm going to go to a few dyno tunning shops to see differences between a few brands. The one i use is a locally made Dynamic Test Systems AWD dyno. Yeah the D5 will not be lasting long as it has no cruise setup and runs REALL REALLY rich at 30% or less of throttle but sweet under boost. 16.5-17ltr/100km is a little excessive for a 5k even boosted, so i will be looking for a new ecu. As soon as funds become available. Thanks for the coments everone. stu.

Just in case anyone who wanted to see dyno sheet but didnt see it in the 4K supercharging thread here it is. stu__s_rolla.pdf Towards the end of the graph it gets very erratic, The only two things we think it can be is either belt slip or BOV not up to task. As i melted the plastic bosch BOV the new adjustable turbosmart BOV should tell me wether its belt slip or boost loss. stu.
  22. Ok as nothing was happening with the car there has been no updates for a while but now things have changed. I have changed to to a supercharged setup. Updates are: 7K-E inlet man and throttle body. SC/12 4AGZE supercahrger. Clive Cams solid 4K camshaft. S/B chev solid lifters and Datto A12 pushrods. Series 4 or 5 rx7 turbo top mount intercooler. 4K large chamber cyl head. KE-55 front discs and calipers. Yokohaha AO21R DOT approved tyres. Custom surge tank with bosch fuel pump. Adjustable rising rate fuel pressure reg. Microtech D5 analog ecu. Thanks to Medicineman these are your photos from the GOR was good to meet you. This took the power from 46rwkw to 95rwkw on only 8.5psi and torque is through the roof. Only main issue I'm having is the crap fuel economy which is 16.5-17ltr/100km. Which will be fixed when i purchase a new ecu. Big thanks to Taz_rx and Madrolla68 for all the info given in the past and everyone else who has comented and passed on ideas would still not be finnished. And a really big thanks to Weber4x48 for installing the microtech and pozman with the fuel system. More power and boost to come i`ll have to keep the updates coming. stu.

  24. From memory you have to change the struts to either celica or corona for the bigger stub axel. They are a huge brake setup though. I use the Ke-11 disk brake master cyl(thats what Peter Robinson told me it was)not sure on the difference though to the other one. KE-20 stuts, don't use the whole strut just the top and spring. you will get heaps of pos camber if you use the whole strut. With a Signiature stabiliser bars 22mm front sway bar and KE-55 rotors and calipers and NO booster. Seems to pull up my 97rwkw ke-11 no probs at all. stu.
