Cruise - Diamond Creek - Blackspur - Marysville (new Route) - Lillydal
kickn5k replied to Bowler's topic in VIC / Melbourne
Well seeing as it will be the weekend after Bathurst i should make it. Not too sure if the 11 will be there having a few issues with it all but nothing that can't be sorted. If its not ill probably be in webers ae82. stu. -
BANG ON!! I work in this field, and you read on the box of every piston set that we modify it will state "this product is for off highway use and carries no expressed warranty except for faults in workmanship" it says the same on our clearance spec sheet. And its easy to say that its detonation from the other side of the world to. Personally in a car engine i would not use a Wiseco part in a std 2K, I built a R33 GTR engine for a mate he supplied me wiseco pistons, it makes 400awkw or 850hp at the flywheel and they lasted about 6 weeks and the skirts had shrunk 20thou and the pins were 3thou oval. They just don't make them thick enough for boost applications. They replaced the pistons and again lasted about 6 weeks and same happened. We made thick skirt pistons and now no problems but that would also happened with most of the other US made parts eg. CP, JE, ARAIS and ROSS they are all quality made parts and all these brands are still quite cheap. The spool rods are a good quality part for the price too. I do make forged pistons but they are not cheap $1300-1350 for a 4cyl set, this is because they are a custom made part not production run. Special piston services (03) 9793-1110 My bosses name is colin he does all the ordering etc. Good luck. stu. ps. I don't have much internet access so if anyone is interested in pistons please call and speak to colin, and not pm me as i might not get back to you for a fair while.

Well seeing as i havent missed one yet!! The ted taxi should be finished and sorted by then so i might at least come for a day trip. I am heading to mt Buller downhill mountain biking from chrissy day for a week and i was also planning on destroying a few sets of tyres at easternats next year. So the budget may be a bit tight, but i still may not go to easternats. stu.

You will still get into a little clearance issues with Su`s if you fit trumpets and socks , but all you do is push the sock so it goes behind the strut tower. If you decide to use a like a round Ramflo or square/rectangular caged foam filters you should have plenty of clearance. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...c=9733&st=0 There might be a photo in here to show clearance from the trumpets. stu.

Massive thanks to Webers, his girlfriend Flip and pozman who have been a huge help over the last week and a half. Only problem is a friend and his wife have recently had there first child so i may leave from the pub to go as its on the way home from Noojee, but still undecided. See ya`ll in Lyllidale!!!! Stu.

Maybe for toyoshow next year id be keen. stu. -

Seems like a great turn out, and a lot of well built early rollaz. If only there were more like that sth of the border. stu. -
I forgot to mention i vote Mt Donna Buang for lunch.
-
Hey this sounds good but if we are going to Noojee then to Mt Donna Buang it may be a bit too much back tracking for us coming from the peninsula, and would prob be easier for us to meet everyone in Noojee. But if not we would meet up at Lyllidale. NOW my only issue i have is my car being as they"PBR" havent just stop doing the new master cyl but also the seal kit aswell. So my only hope is that the place that will resleave it can match something up. Keep it up 1984KE70 looking forward to it. stu.

Well i havent seen it myself, but my parents and a mate have both spotted what i think would have to be ke10girl`s car. I spose you don't tend to see bright green ke 10`s around. Seen in the Cranbourne and south gippy area. stu.

This is the proposed cruise from lylidale to Noojee. The town has two pubs and a nice picnic/bbq area also. I thought that lylidale would be a good meet point as it only makes an hour and a half trip, and would be a central point for eveyone seeing as there would be some coming from frankston ans some from the marsh. Any ideas on the lunch spot would help too. stu.
