  1. I have done a bit of reaserch of my own. A good customer at work has a VH45DE(TT) it runs forgies and rods etc. It only makes 1150hp and it runs methanol. Not std bottomend. That supra forum are a pack of dyno pigging turkeys and have no idea about drag racing "800 rwhp is needed to run a 10 second pass" when i read that i then realised these guys have no idea. A hr31 skyline for instance i have built the engine for, makes 315 rwkw or 409 rwhp, it should soon be the fastest hr31 in the country and should run a flat 10 second pass. as soon as he can get a trans to hold, so with half the power and no were neer half the weight of a supra with 800 rwhp they should run a mid nine. Which is another 20 grand to get the skyline to run those numbers. good discussion guys keep it coming stu.
  2. They aren`t the biggest either, they make a f750. The number of them indicates the weight of them f250 2.5t, f350 3.5t etc. and yes the f650 is a monster, the f350 that tows a customers pro stock drag car is huge i can only imagine the diesel bill for one of those. stu.
  3. Dude that isn`t chopped height is it? they look sik under your car man all it needs is some white walls. stu.
  4. Well not quite a customer of ours has the worlds fastest lpg powered car it runs 9.40 at some insane mph, the diff is a stock ed xr6 3.23:1 lsd been in the car last 4 years or so. The car has done about 100plus passes and not a prob. Just the way some people treat them i supose, You can break a 9" if you try hard enough.
  5. No s&*i but times ten. That is the tuffest rolla ive seen for a while but then again thats the first one ive seen> hot hot hot. stu.
  6. Personally i`d ditch the carb all together, and shop around for twins way to go but i may be a bit biased. Good luck. stu.
  7. Come on there is a swap meet on nearly ever second weekend. Every swap meet ive been to never has any ke-1x parts, so i walk around with all my mates holden crap. So will be heading to christmas hills for some motorsport, Thats why i built the car. stu.
  8. You know if its on a weekend that Leigh and I will be in even if its is interstate"near enough". i`ll try to stir up some intrest from some mates aswell. stu.
  9. Its not just the overall diam that effects it smaller wheel size(dia) will give you a taller wall, taller wall means wall flex and wall flex means grip!! Let me know when your going next and we will see if leigh can bring his twinky. stu.
  10. R31 lsd diffs are priced like sr20det`s and just as dear to rebuild go a single wheeler and a spool. super strong 28 spline axles cheap and my mate runs 9.2`s in a vl same setup. Paul u still don't have an engine in and they look like they may drop a bit. stu.
  11. The event is a state level meeting and you would have to be a club member"cams affiliated" and a cams logbooked car i think. We were only going to watch and a drive out to Christmas Hills. If you were wanting to do the same your more than welcome to cruise with us. I'm only wanting to do club level stuff so i don't butcher the ke-11 with a cage. If i love it i`ll build an ae-71 with a mild 4agte. Jarrad : its at the mg or mini car club hill climb track "rob roy" and its located in christmas hills, we whent through there on the cccv cruise on the way through chub creek "i think". stu.
  12. Well they are a crazy engine then, And alot of those summernats type dyno days tend to be configed very "happy". If stock bottom end is forgies then yes its very easy to get that power but the tune would have to be spot as they arent as low as 7:8 to 1 comp. That sort of power must have masive combustion pressure. This engine is now then elevated to my cool list : 4age : at 8500rpm has a piston speed of a S/B chev at 19,000rpm "wrong" rb30et : Why use a rb26 head have made well over 400 wrkw in builds for mates Lancia delta s4 : worlds first turbo/supercharged car factory preped cars have seen 1000hp and 1.8l and no lag. 2jz-gte : I thought 800hp at crank was cool but at wheels thats insane. if only it would fit in an unbutchered ke-11. Stu.
  13. Yes have tried race fuel(turbomax ELF) in my car and as we thought before hand no power was gained as comp is only 10.5:1. 800whp would make it over 1000hp at crank and would be too much even for a 2j to handle, and when i meant strongest i meant for time and the fact it is unbrakable. stu.
  14. As i am thinking of doing some club level hillclimbs soon, so i`m going to check it out, Its on Feb the 24-25th. At rob roy Christmas hills. I will be going and maybe leigh so if there is enough interest i may have to get organised and meet in Lyllidale. Wait to hear from everyone. stu.
  15. That white rolla my mate saw i bet was a white ae-82 twinky the one with no boot "hahaha Jarrad" and shes got white 16" 5 spokes like sparco`s. seen it round the corner from your work Paul. stu.
  16. Yes my 5k is a stock bottom end except for a set of gapless rings and a tiny crow cam. but yeah we tried to push start it a couple of times and not a rotation of the crank. luck i supose. stu.
  17. Will be hoping to have the 11 a little cleaner next year. Looking foward to it already. stu.
  18. Sorry forgot the congrats to Lesley for the fine effort, Great late model car too> I love all rollas new and old just a softer spot for the older ones. stu.
  19. lots of really nice cars, love those gt starlets, but where are all the K powered rockets was there many there? stu.
  20. NOT ROUGH ROLLA its gotta be changed to tough rolla stu.
  21. :P Thought it was about time vic had a spotted thread so ill start one Spotted by friend and the details are a little sketchy but here goes: White model not known he said it was late model body kit and wing but did have rollaclub sticker AND he said it had blow of valve. stu.
  22. Yep exactlly as medicine man says its a remote wire comes from ignition signal to throw starter, so easiest way is to chase it back through the car to ignition or i found with my ke-11 that the ke-20 gregory`s manual the wiring diagram near identical to my car so that is what i used as a guide. If thats any help? stu.
  23. Hmmm as i am having a hard time getting my head around these power figures can you explain how do these engines do this? Do you have 190 octane fuel and 5 deg ampbient temp in qld? As 800 horse at the wheels seems a bit hard to swallow dead stock. stu.
  24. Personally i think that there could have been a couple of people in the car pressing the pedal. The only reason i say this is because i have driven the car everyday since, without issue. and everyone on the weekend loved the car and were sitting in it. In saying that I'm not pointing the finger or blaming anyone. I'm just lucky it didnt happen to my tow ute as big sixes and eights usually have big torque starter motors and smash engines in a heartbeat. well i hear about it at least once every two weeks at work.
