me: hi subaru, you gave me the wrong timing belt kit ,, i have had my car off the road for 3 days now because of this, and had to borrow a car just to get to work. its a 92 ford laser that is horendously slow, and has no radio. subaru: yes sorry we did, and we can't get the proper one untill tomorrow afternoon maybe wednesday, and yes you will have to drive across town to get it. have a good day. but alas my woes are nothing compared to most. hope everything is ok JIP. had a mate end up in hospital on saturday night, decided to check how far the blade was out on his electric wood planer....with his finger, then decided to check to see if it spun with his finger still there.

what does it connect to at the bottom of that hose? the bit with 2 bolts. just do what you need to do to make the cooling system look like this http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/16481-Hooking-up-a-4age-16v-RWD-cooling-system

spending $950 on genuine parts for subaru 200,000km service. get the guy to double check all the parts....twice. i plan to have this weekend free to do it. i spent 2hrs pulling car to a million bits last night. go to put timing belt tensioner on, wrong part. which is weird as the "timing belt kit" was a sealed part in itself with all the bits inside it (belt, tensioners etc). The the timing belt kit is right, but the parts inside the kit are wrong. Parts centre not open till tuesday Great.

i belive the point of them is on race cars that are very low to begin with, with possible crazy aero (1" off the ground) they put those things on just under the headlight so the tow man has something to grab hold of when you the belly of the car is sitting in kitty litter 10m from the track. knowone wants to go digging in gravel for your tow hook! makes perfect sense on a track, but yeah don't think you will get very far with it on the road. imagine getting hit by it? man would take a decent chunk out of you. pretty good example on this porche here http://weekendhorsepower.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/cms-auto-fair-porsche-gt3-rs-06.jpg

well if it is one of those, and it protrudes anywhere outside the panel work, that wont be legal on the road. given that bonnet pins arent, that wont be. (but apparently bull bars are ok....)

what do you mean by "Racing type"?
-
could have pinched it rather than cut it. doesnt take much to roll a tyre and pinch an inner tube :(

yeah I'm not sold on all these food additives. i don't think we really know the long term effects of most/all of them. but seems you can't buy anything without some sort of human intervention with a chemical. the next 50yrs will be very interesting i think.

employer: Hi, so you would like a job at a coffee shop, do you know how to make coffee? potential employee: yeah sort of, i can create a beverage in a coffee cup, that smells like coffee, and looks like coffee. and is just good enough for people to drink it, even though it doesnt taste good. employer: You will fit in well here.

yeah i bought one from repco as well. i think it must be around 400mm lift, gets the car high enough to get a few holes up on my supercheap stands. plenty high enough for anythign i have done so far. I think it was only 80bucks or so. been going a few yrs. most important thing is to keep them out of the weather, 1 night in the rain and they are destroyed. not the lowest, but yeah a scisor jack on the sill with a few turns is enough to get it under low cars, or a few blocks of wood to drive onto gets it just high enough if required. no problems with the subi though. but yeah, woudlnt trust it, gotta be careful whenever you are using it. and always go the stands asap. but that goes for any hydraulic jack, i still woudlnt get under a car supported by a ~$1000 "race car" jack.

....when you spend a few hard earned bucks on a bought coffee from a coffee shop, you decide to treat yourself, as you know its way over priced for what it is, you either get money out of the ATM, or scavange around in your wallet for loose change (i never have any real cash.....) you order, you wait your 5mins while others are served, and then they call your name out, you walk over in front of those waiting still, as if you are better than them as you have a coffee and those others are still waiting, you thank the young guy or girl behind the counter... your lack of sleep the night before is somehow catching up to you at an alarming rate as you just about to take your fist sip....you feel like this is the first coffee you have had in months, and are really looking forward. you take a sip, and realise THEY HAVE BURNT THE SH*T OUT OF IT.

Eoo (Expressions Of Opinion) Fastest Ke20 Engine Conversion?
ke70dave replied to crunk81us's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Till him/her to catch the bus. i like the idea of a v6, so cheap the engines, and have a fair bit of grunt to them. good luck with it. -

Hi jasemc0, A few words of advice. Asking massively open ended questions will get you know where, questions such as "anyone know anything about them" wont yield any inteligent replies. what do you want to know? specific questions are how you get specific answers. 2ndly, please refrain from using short hand sms speak, numbers don't substitue for letters. you are new so i wont delete things, but please from now on use real words. remember that people will put the same effort into their responses that they see you have put in yours. also being on a mobile phone is no excuse, they have the ability to use all letters. msot of the important aspects of wagon vs sedan has been covered. same engine, same front half of chassis, same gearbox. all front panels are interchangeable and bolt on. lights may or may not bolt on depending on what version of ke70 you got in NZ. NZ got a few different versions of ke70, we got the boring version. the only real difference is obviosly one is wagon and one is a sedan, but the rear suspension is leaf springs instead of the sedan having coil springs. So the differential sare not interchangable as the mounts are different. A 12a turbo would go nice in a ke70.

i have a series of videos at home which are very simliar to that. half the video is the guys building the tracks, the other half of them is the guys riding them, all done to sweet music. and they go for a long time, almost 1hr each i think. i belive they are called "new world disorder" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Disorder_%28film_series%29 if you can get a copy they are well worth the watch. i am missing the last few, i didnt realise they made more, ill have to get on that....
