  1. This is where I become really anal. A 2 door 30 is a two door sedan, owing to it's shape. A KE35, being pillarless is a hardtop, although some argue that this is a sub-branch of coupe. :)
  2. Pretty much "no" on all accounts. The exception being the 4K itself, which will slide in no problems. KE70 box will have the shift set back, but if you have the auto hole it should still fit.
  3. I've rallied for nearly twenty years, was a professional stunt driver for 3, and an advanced driver trainer for 4 years. It's not going to be a problem. :) I still have the Corolla, it's tucked away for a rainy day awaiting the building of "The Shed".
  4. The race car wont be a problem. I know of a few that have come over recently, and if you don't want to register it, all will be good. Dealing with CAMS though may leave a bad taste, but at least the car will be here. The TRD brothers brought their KE70 over with them back in the day, but they were only able to get concessional rego for that. The daily one will be tricky, as getting rego may be difficult.
  5. Let it be known that this thread is taking a direction that the Mods aren't pleased with. You all know our stance on illegal happenings, and glorification thereof. Keep the thread to the car.
  6. Both these and the Commodores make surprisingly good towcars. It is truly epic the amount of stuff you can get in these things. With the seat folded down, I could fit almost all my rally spares in, and still sleep in the back comfortably. It's just a trade off of something not very exciting to drive around day to day, against having the ability to fit in everything for a weekend of fun and games plus a trailer. You shouldn't be disappointed. :)

  8. No. If you have nissan studs, the thread pitch will be different. Toyota have 12 x 1.5mm pitch. Nissan are 12 x 1.25mm pitch. Buy new wheel nuts.
  9. I'm sure you all realise why this is being closed. If not, you need to have a better look at yourselves.
  10. Lovely. Have been to the UK many times, and have only ever seen one 20 series while I've been there. A decent wash and I think you be pleasantly surprised. Parts are getting thin in Australia (which is where the vast majority of us are from...) particularly for 25's. You should be able to get better guards than what you have fairly easily, but the doors are going to be an issue, as they're different from KE20, and rare. See if you can fix the boot, too, as they're a bit thin on the ground too. Those bumbers are incredibly straight for a car that age. :)
  11. Put another/ bigger return spring on your lingkages/ butterfly shaft. If it hasn't been dyno'd, they'll be about as much use as a bicycle to a fish. Dyno will solve all. Or at least tell you what you have to do.
  12. For sale for $3K and offer 1? Thats a really good way for him to tell you where to go. Doing that shows a lack of respect, particularly if you really do want to buy it.
  13. It was easy, actually, even if it was difficult, it would have been done by now. I think you're on a hiding to nowhere with this one. But don't let that stop you. However I would like a picture of the car taken at the exact moment you realise it's not going to work. You'd be better off with the 95 wagon and 4AG-ing that. Much less heart ache.
  14. I hear you. As well as Mrs Dwarf I now have an '09 model as well. It's not a girl, it's a machine.
  15. You can repair a broken cylinder head with a woman??
  16. Didn't get an invite to drive, so not going. :P
  17. One problem= one thread. The forum isn't big enough that you have to post multiple times. :) :locked:
  18. Gday Roy. The best thing to do would be to place a "Wanted to Buy" thread in the classified section. Don't forget to select a location in the heading and in the thread. :) Regards, Mods.
  19. I hereby approve this product or event. :jamie: I love these old things that have just trundled through life, and will continue trundling for the next 40 years with little or no fuss. Old School Cool.
  20. Could I please ask you make the prices clear in the body of the ad? I know they're in the heading, sort of. Thanks in advance. Cheers Mods.
  21. Timing should be fine. Coil should be fine. If the coil is playing up, the car stops. Check leads and plugs. Used to have a similar problem when I ran Bosch plugs. Ngk's were fine, Bosch used to crap out the plugs. Go figure. *shrug* Start the car in the dark with the bonnet open, and see if you can see the plugs leads arcing. They're/ it's buggered if they are. May only be one plug lead playing up. May be dizzy, but I can't see why.
  22. Insomnia. Had it for the last fortnight,, then had two Olympic gold medal winning sleeps, now had 6 hours total over two days again.
  23. Edited because it seems I'm wrong. Which is nothing unusual.:( Oh, and never ever throw away something that hasn't physically been replaced yet. :jamie:
