Gday. Correct area for this is the "Wanted to Buy" area in the classifieds. Regional forums are not the right place. :) Regards Mods.

The guy has all the credibility of a vegitarian shark. I recognise the other name on the list, too. :D

^^^^^^^^^^^ As above. Please post in the Wanted to Buy section. Please also be specific, my 2 year old daughter broke my crystal ball the other day and I haven't replaced it yet. Regards Mods.

Welcome to forums, where everyone has an opinion. Why do you not just keep this one and drive it???

Crazy Overpriced Cars You'Ve Seen For Sale.
Redwarf replied to philbey's topic in Automotive Discussion
Work out what you've spent and ask a third. If it's as good as it looks, someone will pay 30K for that. -
... and if you're being charged any set-up fees, they should be waiving them. My bank of choice ballsed up re-finance on the house (seperate to above loan) , as well as temporarily misplacing $135K of my money. Immediately the Set-up and 1st year fees were waived with a "terribly sorry Mr Dwarf" letter from the state manager accompanying it. I like customer service. Numerous establishments no longer have my business because they don't/ refuse to provide it.

I'd rather shoot myself in the head with a nail gun than own one.

^^^^ That's unacceptable. I got a $275000 loan done in four days end to end including land valuation. Your bank sucks.

For the sake of your sanity and aural well being, yes, go the muffler.

1 3/4 or 2". No bigger. I had a 2 1/4 on my stonking 1400cc 3K, and it was maybe a bit big even on that.

Gday, Wanted to buy adverts need to go in the Classified "Wanted to Buy" area. Yes, I know you want one locally, but unfortunately the regional forums are not the place for it. Regards Mods.

This needs to be in the classified area. If you're intending for this to be long term and you're intending to make money from it, you need to become a commercial seller. :locked:

No. Just no. :locked:

*sigh* Yup. Remember what you like about this forum, and what you don't like about others. Or alternatively, what you don't like about this forum, and what you like about others. :locked:

Multiple accounts are a no-no, Reed. :D

Gday Steve. You need to post in the wanted to buy section. Regards Mods.

Gday. A couple of handy hints for you so that you time here will be well spent. The main one is search and you shall seek. Many topics have been covered before. The rides and projects threads are a wealth of knowledge, and if it's not covered somewhere in there, then it probably can't be done. Try putting more info into you post. We can make many different suggestions, but if you only have $300, not many of them will be practical. You have to keep in mind that we get asked very opened ended questions like yours about once a day at the moment, so if you don't have a think about the questions you ask, you're not going to get answers you're happy with. How good are you on the tools? Do you have the knack, or ten thumbs? Can you fabricate? We are not here to spoon feed you. You need to help yourself as well. Given this is the third time you've asked this question, This thread is locked until you come up with a new question to ask. Regards Dwarf

Sorry to pop your bubble, but the planes a fake. Ari is still God. I found "the Vatanen Touch too" on youtube the other night. 60 minutes of Ari lovin'. Awesome. Edit: Here's the first one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vpNbmMIyEg A bit later on with the great Walter Rohl: "Do you think the new Peugeot is too fast for the Audi?" "No, I just know that Ari is too fast for me!" One of the members here used to build cars for Monster Tajima. :)

The problem with CRC is that although you may be able to run them in certain events, it is still restrictive. That's why I tend to build PRC cars. I can run it anywhere. However, that said, CRC will allow cars like this to run, but don't expect them to be eligable for state or clubman points. Or indeed, they still may be refused entry to some events altogether. Anyway, this is not the place to discuss this. On with the build. :)

Yep, but inconel is a prick to work with. We used to use it to repair 737 classic pylons. Should have had shares in a cobalt drill factory. 2 holes from each drill bit. I'm a titanium man myself. :) When you hit it with an angle grinder, pretty white sparks come off it. :D

Yup. Measure the sills. It actually looks pretty flat to me, but it might be the picture. Don't go by the wheel arch height, as the front is always bigger than the rear as Dave said.
-
My tarmac setup was about 20mm lower at the back than the front. No real reason, that's just how it ended up. Drove like a gokart. I'm fiding it really hard to see in that picture what is wrong. It's sitting Maybe (maybe....) 10 mm lower at the rear. I think it looks fine. Resetting packs after you've added more leaves is a bit of an in-exact science, so cut them a little slack when you go back.

The man himself has spoken. Time to put this one to bed people. Please respect his wishes. R

Mitch, your's is a khana car, not a rally car. Having an under-sprung rally car is a good way of dying, possibly quite painfully, about 3 corners into a rally. My 35 started out with light (100lb) springs in the front, and standard (if a bit soft) springs in the back. Reasonable quality shocks. Took it to a rally in Rockhampton. It was evil and tried to kill me. After a bit of experimenting, I ended up with 175 lb springs in the front (still a bit light, 200's would have been better) and standard pack with an added 8mm full length leaf. Bilstein shocks all round. You should be able to pick up a 8mm new spring for about $40 each, and the spring works will bang a centre hole in where you want with the size you want. Get the best quality shocks you can afford. Bilsteins are a good start, and are rebuildable. In comparison, my 25 had 225's in the front, but that was mainly due clearance issues (it had minimal....) I still think I preferred that set up. Standard swaybar front, no sway bar rear. You also need camber and castor. As much of both as you can get. I cut more thread onto my castor arms to get more, and had rose jointed LCA's as well. With the LSD I ran 1.5 camber, and from memory, just under 4 castor. If you run a locker, you need more camber. I ran 2.5 in the 25 with the locker, and 3 in tarmac trim. Note: handling is a personal thing. What worked for one, may have another saying "this sucks balls". I tended to run heavier sprung cars than most people, but not by a whole lot.

Nice to see someone "doing" rather than "talking". :) Keep up the good work, however that diff aint going to last long. It'd make it easier when you make your tailshaft if you have a big diff in there already, otherwise you may be making two tailshafts. ie: one for the 70 diff and one for whatever you put in next.
