  1. 28.5rwkw, you can see it trying to jump off the dyno from the extreme power! :y:
  2. Something like this but with a variety of colours...... Linky Be interested in one for the '10
  3. In Australia, the AE95 Corolla wagon was offered in two specifications. The base model XL and the slightly better SR5. Mechanically they were identical, differences were mainly cosmetic (SR5 had alloy wheels, better seats, tacho etc) There are no factory spec supercharged/turboed AE95. The top of the line model would most likely be a fully optioned JDM Toyota Carib which had full electrics including air suspension, abs etc. These are very rare to find in Australia as they were never sold here and the ones you do see were imported privately. There have been a couple of modified wagons done with either turbo or supercharge. My brother (kebin on this forum) has one with a supercharged 4AGZE engine installed, he has a worklog if interested on the toymods forum.
  4. KE20's came standard with 12's, the 13's must be off something else (probably Mazda) If they ran fine on a KE20 then it should be ok on theKE15. Either the offset of the wheels are not good or try skinnier tyres 155 or 165 width.

It's a fact of life that old corollas rust, just some worse than others. Agree that you should work on this one until you find a good shell if you want. Anyway this is a youtube star and should be kept alive :)
  6. Count me in Wouldn't be rolla cruise without a KE10!
  7. Just in case your in the market for one yourself...... Linky
  8. Put it this way.... -Buy donor FWD 4AGE Corolla (TwinCam model not the 4AC models) for around $500 (see ebay or other forums, we bought a writeoff with JDM 100kW installed for $500) -Buy engine crane and other tools for another $500 -Buy gearbox and all other bits and pieces (fuel pump etc) -Sell off bits from donor car to recoup some costs, send shell to scrap -Google/Search the net and learn the process of converting FWD to RWD and installation. This has been done many times over, plenty of info out there. Be patient in learning. -Profit in mechanical knowledge/satisfaction you have gained. No need to be scared, it's all about learning, trial and error. Start a Projects/Rides thread of your efforts, if you get stuck just post a question and i'm sure someone will help out The worse that could happen is you lose interest and end up selling the bits and maybe have lost a few hundred dollars.
  9. All this over a $400-$500 car with rego, am i missing something? Money was paid, car taken away. Therefore sold as is. There is no obligation for warranty/refund. What happens after that is not the sellers concern. The car was taken without checking all quoted items were supplied in the sale. If you didn't ask for them, then it can be assumed you did not want them. Even without all the disputed extras it's still a good bargain.
  10. I pretty sure that KE3# and KE5# backing plates will bolt up, KE70/71 backing plates have different bolt hole spacings. More info in Knowledge Base/FAQ link at the top of the page.
  11. For the lazy ones Or maybe use a GPS which tells you the speed your going.
  12. Ke20 disc brake struts i believe should fit without too much problem, mine already had them when i bought my ke10. Master cylinder will be another issue however. The original in the ke10 is a 10/16 bore single circuit (i assume your ke15 would be the same), the seals in mine were stuffed so i replaced it with a 11/16 bore dual circuit from an early galant. It's wasn't quite a bolt up job and i don't think there is any straight forward bolt up master cylinder without having to stuff around with brake lines, firewall clearances, brake bias etc. Even a booster would be a problem due to it's firewall position. A common way around it is to use a VH44 remote brake booster found in some older holdens, valiants etc. If the engine will remain fairly stock than no booster should be fine.
  13. Refer to the Knowledge Base/FAQ link at the top of the page.
  14. Thought i'd let you guys know pickies are running a $50 all you can carry next weekend Website A similar deal has been run in QLD and i'm pretty sure the deal is you have to be able to take the item out on your own unassisted, eg no wheelbarrows, mates etc
  15. I might tag along too with this if either: - Get the new brake master finished in the KE10 or, - Get the RT40 blue slipped and regoed, but it's soooo slow it would be trailing behind....
  16. Brake master cylinder probably needs new seals. Have the same thing in my KE10. Check the tranny fluid level, most likely it needs a top up of fluid or just replace all the fluid.
  17. There was a RWD 4 speed unit found behind some 4A engines but they were only available overseas. Something that could work but haven't tested, is to use a 4speed A40D tranny from corona RT142 or celica RA60/65 combined with the bell housing off the A40 3speed unit.
  18. I should have phrased it properly by saying there are no RWD corollas that i know of that have FRONT vented discs (or rear discs), the JDM AE86 have vented front and solid rears. Rear discs would not be required for such a lightweight car.
  19. There are no vented RWD corolla discs available that i have seen. The closest are the JDM AE86 discs. They are available through RDA plain or slotted, the slotted are available for $200 plus delivery. There may be other bolt on disc upgrades but would require 14's to fit which i'm not keen on for a KE10. It depends on what size wheels you want. I know there is bugger all clearance behind the inlet mani, one of my options is to go custom inlet to create a bit more room, but i will find that out when i put the engine in.
  20. KE3#/5# apparently did have both jap or local girlock brakes, KE70/71 had the girlocks only. The girlock braked discs are slightly thicker than the jap ones (12.7mm vs 10mm)

My brother (Kebin on this forum) has one with a 4AGZE installed. He's currently in the process of putting up a detailed work log on Toymods. LINKY There are a few others that have gone through the 20v or turbo setup, but not many with the supercharger.
  23. For the brakes, i have this set up in mind: > JDM AE86 vented front rotors (RDA can supply them, cheapest i've seen is $170 a pair delivered) > 83-85 Honda Prelude calipers (Have the correct spacings, clearance etc will require very minor modifications) > KE3#/5# caliper backing plates with minor modification > Using KE20 struts/hubs etc. I theory it should work, haven't put them all together yet so i can't confirm it yet. Will have to run 13's as a minimum. Engineers generally look for brake upgrade the same or better than the car the engine came out of, so in this instance the JDM AE86 has the same 4AGE engine. I'm also currently looking into adding a brake booster (something besides a VH44 etc)
