  2. Here's a couple more I have come across over the last while. A better quality, albeit later Pitstop one, plus Neville Lindsay's By null at 2011-05-24 Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  3. Yes, but not with a standard ECU unfortunately
  4. What I forgot to ask, did you get any of the history of the car?
  5. By peaky I mean the powerband is moved up a bit close to the rev limiter, which it hits very quickly. That may be fine of uing a close ratio gearset, high diff ratio etc, bit tedious otherwise.
  6. I have 268 wade cams which run fine with standard ECU. At the time Wades claimed these were developed in conjunction with Toyota. They produced these on new blanks. Call them re pricing, I got mine years ago. But if it is a road car, I would suggest 256/264 as 268/268 is too peaky in my view.
  7. Welcome to Rollaclub! Great to see some more shots after the teaser on JNC. At least it looks to be basically complete, and the chrome and interior detail stuff which is very hard to find, all looks to basically be there. There are a couple of guys in the US /Canada with KE15/17's. But realistically I have only seen related American stuff come up on JNC or sometimes 3TCgarage.com, which seems to act as the defacto pre mid 1980's Corolla site for your side of the pond. KE15/17 specific parts are just as hard to find in Australia, and often priced accordingly. It looks like the hanging panels are your main issue, which I imagine you don't want to ship anyway! Do please keep us up to date with your developments, as I am fascinated to see how you get on. If I happen to notice anything I shall pass it on to you.
  8. Absolutely positively definitely get it carted over by a towie on the back of a flatbed. No stress, no angst, and probably no more than the cost of hiring a shit heap servo car trailer that will kill your tow car. There are lots of them out there, just ring around.
  9. A quick look on wiki tells me there were three entries under AMI Racing team with a Corolla 1200, one didn't start. But whether these were KE10's or KE25's?? There was also a private entry of a Corolla not otherwise specified in 1975. There are also a few Corolla's not otherwise specified that competed in the ATCC through the early 70's
  10. Hi Gary I'm not aware of any touring car history in Australia for these cars. As far as I know, AMI lost interest after they were disqualified at Bathurst in the KE10 days, but I could be wrong there. As far as factory imports of TE27's at best there may have been one evaluation car which also seemed common back then. I vaguely recall seeing something about one somewhere. Nowadays there are at least two genuine cars (Trueno's) that I know of, one in Melbourne and another in Sydney. Plus a number of copies, including one built from a half cut in Melbourne many years ago.
  11. My 2 cents (get in before Philbey?) . Yes it's worth it if your car sees a reasonable degree of competition, not if you just drive it to work and back each day. BUT, only use one of an appropriate size (in this case very small), and definitely use an oil takeoff with a thermostat. If it doesn't have a thermostat, remove it immediately
  12. I was thinking about Point Cook for something like this actually just yesterday. Is the RAAF museum open this early on a Sunday and have some sort of cafe nearby?
  13. Na, na na na na na na na na na, na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na etc
  14. Yes. Golf Mark 1. Slipped straight in and looked like they belonged. Would love a set of the option headrest items, but doubt they will ever turn up. Don't worry, if I ever come across some seats, you will be the first to know.
  15. Anything GMH is a different kettle of fish than KE1x's. The fun is in the same place as all the spare KE15 seats!
  16. Dave........I never knew you cared so...... Haven't done any work on the car for the last 3 days, am up to 76 hrs on nyancat! Damn you KEhendo!!!!!!
  17. I bought my car without actually looking at it, although I had watched an extensive thread on the car with detailed pics and descriptions of its problems. When it became available, the seller was very upfront about what it looked like needing, and I very willingly jumped at it with every expectation of needing to strip down and rebuild the car. I paid a very fair price on that understanding. I have since spent a great deal of time and a reasonable amount of money sourcing the various parts for that build, which basically I now have. Personally I would be very nervous of paying the money commonly asked for, to get a 'restored car' with new paint etc. I would rather spend the money having the job done myself, at least then I know what the paint is hiding, and the prep work that has gone into it. I would never by an incomplete KE1x though, except as a spares donor. Unless you were planning to modify it pretty extensively with different running gear and interior. Decent parts are just too hard to find.
  18. In that case it would have to be a silver or blacktop.
  19. Hmm, some interesting Vic developments happened and hopefully happening judging by various threads!
  20. I just Nyan catted my 9 year old son. "That's ridiculous, I know your not too mature...." I have sent him to bed with no icecream and no football. That'll learn him.
  21. That would be the one. My link
  22. 8.5 MILLION VIEWS! Clearly I'm missing something here.
  23. He he, I had written you off, thinking you meant the "other other" rolla club. By the way, what the hell is that thing in your avatar?
  24. Hell yeah, maybe one day our paths will converge again at a club meet.
  25. My favourite accessory is there too, but it's blond
