  2. Yes, there are various badges for various markets. The master part catalog shows where they all go, but only with a general picture, no specific measurements or anything.

Welcome to the elite club! None of thatmodern tat here. That looks like surface rust after someone has played with it. Hopefully the bottoms of the doors and the rear guard pockets look OK? Bit of work, lick of paint and it'll be perfect!
  4. There should be plenty around, so just wait for the right one. Look for one that isn't modified, looks to have been well looked after and ideally garaged. If you don't know what to look for, get the car you decide on checked for accident damage. You should be able to find one with a good service history, especially check that it has had regular oil changes. What you do with it next is up to you.
  5. Doesn't the AE82 have a cold air feed to the standard air box from under the passenger side guard? You could get rid of the massive ducting pipe then. How about Sadie!
  6. Have a look at this thread for a link to the Tosco (sort of an early TRD) K engine build manual. As always with these things of course, you will need to examine the regulations for your category as to what is permitted. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/23872-trd-k-engine-manual/page__p__276730__hl__tosco__fromsearch__1#entry276730
  7. Geez, remind me never to drive any of my cars anywhere near the Westies. Being an original Laverton boy, I'm allowed to say that. Looks a great job, and clearly a well loved and cared for car. Also the cleanest engine bay on an AE82 I have ever seen! By the way, you may want to change it's name to Betsy. Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI) Sudi is a panchayat town in the Gadag District of Karnataka, India. It is about 30 km from Badami, 12 km from Gajendragad and 3 km from Itagi Bhimambika temple. In the past it was a important town of the Kalyani Chalukyas during 1000 AD. It is famous for rare stone carved monuments like Twin towered temple, Mallikarjuna temple and nagakunda (large well built of stone and carvings), and few other structural temples. For long time these amazing structures were abandoned, but recently they caught the eye of the Indian Archaeological Department (ASI - Archaeological Survey of India). SUDI Subtyping (HIV sequencing) (SUbtyping DIstance) Purpose: This tool is designed to help determine if a newly defined clade of related sequences should most appropriately be considered a new subtype, a new sub-subtype, or part of a previously defined subtype. Details: SUDI should be used in conjunction with other tools that will identify recombination and phylogenetic relationships. The purpose of this tool is to determine tree-based genetic distances for a new cluster relative to known subtypes, and then to compare these distances to typical distances found among pre-existing subtypes. http://www.facebook.com/people/Sudi-Narasimhan/1512222014
  8. Yeah right! I think I did mention that I would put a drift sticker on my car if Harv didn't win car of the year....... I changed the plates when I bought it from the old greens to the blues, but that lapsed about 8 years ago. I shall put it on club plates as it will probably get out for less than 25 days a year I reckon. Should be hella fun though.
  9. More progress. Hydraulics all bled and I now have a brake pedal and clutch. Pretty pleased as the entire braking and clutch hydraulic system has now been rebuilt, including brake and clutch masters and all 4 calipers. Because I used the Jap booster, I had to use the Jap master as the bolt pattern is different. I think I posted earlier about this. First time I have rebuilt a master cylinder or caliper so in the back of my mind I had this small doubt..... But all seems OK, with no leaks. After my earlier dramas with stainless brakelines, I was pretty nervous that the lines wouldn't seal, but all good. Why the hell I didn't buy Goodridge lines in the first place I will never know. As above, NEVER buy anything black diamond or from Fensport!! Handbrake adjusted up nicely, 3 clicks. At long last the car is on its wheels as of tonight. Am very pleased with the ride height, though I expect it may settle fractionally lower. 6kg fronts are very firm on the old push test! Now I can get on to tightening up the various suspension bushings. I wound in some toe in expecting to get the usual toe out when dropping it, but with the short stroke inserts, there was little change in height when in the air compared to on the ground. Anyway, I will tighten everything up now, then recheck everything once it comes out of the shed and moves about a bit. Will likely need to whip the panhard rod off and adjust it a bit, but again will wait and see where things settle at first.
  10. Clearly a pretty competitive category. :laff: I expect someone will give you a total of 1% of their accumulated knowledge soon.....
  11. Yes you would think they would get it right. How long would they have been making these things. Perhaps a customer could try and call their technical person to advise them.

  13. I have this thread saved in my subscribed threads on Toymods for a problem I expect to face. Possibly of some relevance. http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthread.php?t=22574
  14. Yes, my Renault has a similar setup that simply clips on. This is how it ended up looking Shot at 2011-02-16 Shot at 2011-02-16
  15. My first meeting with Dave was particularly memorable. Turned up at his place to pick up an engine, hmm, is this the right place? Walk up the drive way and turn into the backyard, and as far as the eye can see, there is a sea of corolla's. Some in rather interesting variations Mr Toyoda never dreamed of. And that was only the start of my afternoon of wonder.
  16. That's what I would do. Assuming you have a carby motor and not a injected motor. Even if it was injected, I don't see that you have any other option anyway. Realistically very little will be different between the two types of motor (K family to T family), that a bit of shortening or lengthening won't fix.
  17. No the circlip is different to the spring clip you mention, and is found on the factory lines. You can see it on the photo above where the two lines are compared. Basically it's only function seems to be to stop the line pushing through the locating tab mounted to the strut. as it is physically too big. Without it, the factory line would also be mobile, as the Goodridge line was. This modified washer takes its role, as the factory circlip is physically too small. The factory spring plate clip is still used, as per factory on the other side of the locating tab. You do however need to remove about a millimetre on the inner edge, both sides, to make the aperture wide enough to slide over the Goodridge fitting.
  18. Worked out a solution for future reference Found a couple of large flat washers in my washer box with a central hole diameter of 17mm. The middle stepped area on the brake line has a diameter of 16mm so it will inset into the washer and the rear collar stops it slipping through. Cut out a section of the washer so it can slip over the brakeline, locate this washer behind the retaining tab on the strut, then insert the spring clip on the other side. You also need to file away about 1mm on each inner side of the retaining clips to make them wide enough to slip over the line. Shot at 2011-02-14

  20. savannagt on ebay sells a truckload of diecast models. http://stores.ebay.com.au/savannagt When I buy from him I am getting car parts rather than badges. But in my experience he will go out of his way to help you out, and is totally reliable. He clearly has a contact in Japan and I'm sure will source what you are after.
  21. Those wheels are awesome :y: That poor guy in the back was so overcome, he had to wipe a tear from his eye.
  22. He he. Can I recommend, now that you have given us more information, the fourth on the google search list........ http://www.rollaclub...Wiring_Diagrams Failing that, as Trev notes above, the pinouts are visible inside the ecu if you take the lid off. Sometimes the screws are a bit hard to undo though.
  23. I see you are new here. What happens if you put the following into google? 4age ecu pinouts
