  3. Irwin sell a product exactly for this application. can't remember what it's called, but it works. Bunnings type shops should have them set of 5.

  6. hmmm, might be able to arrange something..
  7. If you're adam, you'll keep it for a few weeks, make a sweet build thread, then sell it in a few weeks time, then buy a charade...
  8. spotted this on Princes Hwy yesterday, stopped for a quick chat. damn this thing is cool, and sooooo clean. looking good mate, hope to see you around more too. next cruise, I'll try to get you along. -Dave

  10. easily owned more than 30 corollas, currently 11ish a 67 impala, sold 68 hk brougham, sold fj45 landcruiser and a couple of t-18s one sold
  11. that'd be boky (nath) one of the regulars at Team Thrash Garage... might find more of him on AE86drivingclub.com there's a few old school Toyota lovers in that part of town...
  12. Fixed for you... maybe some people like it...
  13. don't be afraid to be different, but expect some criticism if you do. It might look great, and then everybody else will want to do it. DO IT!!!
  14. there are inserts that exist, so that you can drill an oversize hole in the 110 pattern that will eliminate the 114.3/100 pattern, then you put the steel inserts in and your problem is fixed. a fair bit of dicking around to do though.
  15. how long for??? alternatively, you could use a car battery, like Evan G :blinks:
  16. too bad you f@$ked it up Evan... read further down the thread, you'll find somebody else corrected you, then the real fun began... :(
  17. Sorry guys, this would normally float my boat, but i'll be interstate this weekend. :) -Dave
  18. that's quite sad to see... I photographed this exact car in Croydon probably two months ago, being daily driven. Tate was telling me he heard that it was a dealer fitted bodykit that was done back in the day. not very many around today. (that may be a good thing depending on your opinion) if someone does buy it, I'd be keen for a few parts...
  19. if you google toymods diff ratio compilation there is info on every toyota diff that has been put in passenger vehicles, on your build plate, it should say U282 or U292 or something else at the end of the line that says trans/axle. then you can look in the table of ratios to see what yours is. (assuming that they haven't been changed in their lifetime.) common ratios in the ke30s were 4.33, 3.9 and 4.1 iirc. I don't think you'll have too much trouble doing a gearbox swap, but later you may want to swap depending on your driving habits. -dave
  20. It seems our friend the OP is a bit obsessed with 'head' I had a quick look through his 'topics started' and found at least 12 threads about 'head' both wanting 'head', getting more 'head' some fetishist twin carb 'head' (tasmanian perhaps) and some big port 'head' doesn't seem to interested in giving any tho.... selfish bugger...
  21. correct me if i'm wrong, but IIRC, the mounts are in the same forward position, just further apart, so using thicker rubber mounts should suffice. it may mean the motor sits higher too. I might be dreaming tho...
  22. mate, you're asking for trouble with that question on this forum... It's totally frowned upon, and not at all condoned by rollaclub.com It's not a hard thing to do, if it's beyond your capabilities, chances are you don't understand how it'll f@$k up your car's handling too. if you want the down low look, spend some coin on some superlow springs. they're not expensive. Best of luck with your ride.
  23. flat fronts have a lower bonnet line
