  1. good thoughts guys, appreciate it. Sam Q: where abouts is the factory? any idea how much? that would be good to look into thanks mate. -dave :P
  2. Hi fellow Victorians, i have to move my 16 corolla collection, and i'm not having any luck finding a rental with a 20 car garage. it is my own fault, hoarding all these cars, but what i'm after is some kind people to look after some cars for me. if you can take five or more cars just to sit on grass out in the open is fine, i'd love to hear from you. short term or long term, i am happy to negotiate on price. thanks guys and gals, let's hear what you've got. eastern preferred, but i'll consider anywhere :bash: -dave reply here, sms me on 0422 328 332, call me after hours, or email [email protected] thanks in advance
  3. oh, please don't pay it. fight it. our shit system is so f@$ked up, write a letter if you've got a good driving record they'll let you off, if they don't, they may not be bothered chasing you up from interstate. please fight it. all our cameras are innacurate, and technically illegally in use. -dave
  4. all those interested, i can also source you in melbourne a complete, straight reasonably rust free shell as a backup shell or to use if this one is not so great. panels, glass, seats, etc. lots of new steering parts to help with RWC. please pm me for details if you're interested. all located in southeastern suburbs melb.
  5. Jack points are very important not to be confused with Jack-off points. :D
  6. also you could try getting a door shipped from far eastern aussie (kiwiland) where ke20's were all four door's. might get lucky and get some cheap shipping too. may be cheaper than fixing the old one.
  7. you may be able to get a talented sheet metal worker / coachbuilder to roll / fold a new door skin for you. it's not that complex a shape, and will save a bit of labour. -dave
  8. verrr nice.
  9. i may be wrong, but i recall seeing a thread about one of these being in a melbourne pick a part.
  10. They're some great pics guys, well done.
  11. AE71's are cool. i just picked another one up last night for a total of five. :y: two wags for recking, and three sedans for thrashing :P -dave
  12. i don't remember seeing this guy?
  13. did you get the calipers rebuilt?
  14. odometer reading totaled about 1400km for the weekend, about 130 litres, pretty happy with that economy from some high revving driving. the ear to ear smile definetely worth it!!!
  15. Photoshop request please. that;s a shit shot. (no offense)
  16. i used meteal mend on mine :jamie: and it didn't work at all... FAIL
  17. i found a couple out for myself recently. Black spur in an underpowered overtyred car is fun! hitting the twisties in a well suspended car means you can be on the speed limit and on the limit of adhesion too. GOR area is a must do. -dave
  18. Best Weekend Ever. that sums up my GOR trip. the odometer displayed about 1400kms total driving, often on the limit throught the spectacular twisties that the area provides. the car didn;t miss a beat, i only needed to adjust one screw on the way home when a window started rattling. It was great to meet the South Australians that came over, they're a great bunch, and would be good if some more came over next year too. Thanks Jarrad and Mel for organising a great trip. i'm there again next year for sure. :D -dave

    Old Oil?

you could use it to stain timber a nice dark colour. :) we used to put it along the bottom of the paling fence. it would soak it right up and turn a nice black colour. otherwise you can pay to have it disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
  20. can you source the lca's and steering arms from that same ke55 you got the struts from? at least then you'll know it all works. may i ask why you're not using the r31 struts? -dave
  21. If you really have the skills necessary, go for it. do it right, consult an engineer, get it all done legit. if you can't do it, don't waste a perfectly good four door by f@$king it up. if you persist, you should be able to find a nice 2dr that won't need much work. best of luck, -dave
  22. blu tack a troll doll, or bobbing head dog in place. problem solved. :yak:
  23. pedders lows would probably be all you need, and then some sweet dished wheels. Swaybars to help handling and reduce bodyroll. upgrade shocks while you're at it. might be able to find somebody elses secondhand setup.
  24. i've got a couple from Ae71 wagons, if anyone can help with sizing and interchangeability, you can try em. 3.89's
  25. black bonnet to fix the fade :) dependent on how bad it is, a polish may help restore it to full shine again. g'luck. PS, who;s got the baby elephant? i may need to utilise it's full potential sometime. :y: -dave
