Bah, I'll do it tomorrow, I am off to get pissed. It may come out on top for all I know, I presumed he was talking about the 1ggte Supra because its the only 2.0L six that I know of
-
I've posted another topic to further this discussion. We'll argue in there

Made my own topic, don't want to get warned for doing the same stupid thing that many others did AFTER admin told them to stop. :) Anyway. I can't help but notice the "two" extra cylinders out of the Toyota V8  are you really comparing a V8 to an inline 6? Alright then, here we go. I presume your talking about the 1ggte, the twin turbo inline six 2.0L toyota engine, that was found in the JZA70 Supras. The JZA70 Supras weighed in at 1586kg, and the motor makes 210hp (156kw) (according to wikipedia.com) On the other side, you are comparing the 'Barra Turbo', the single turbo inline six 4.0L ford engine, that is found in the BF F6 Typhoon. They weigh in at 1750kg, and the motor makes 361hp (270kw) (also, according to wikipedia.com) Therefore; 1GGTE Supra - 1hp/7.55kg Ford F6 Typhoon - 1hp/4.84kg And for power to litre: Ford: 90.235hp/L Supra: 105hp/L Jesus, the Ford FLOGS the Supra in terms of power to weight ratios... Which is what matters, doesn't it. And the Supra is about 15% ahead in power to litre, which I would probably say is because of the extra turbo and the fact that smaller capacity engines (less stroke) will outrev larger displacement engines by a fair bit (hp being a product of torque and rpm). Fuel economy figures; Ford F6 Typhoon: 13.0L/100km Toyota Supra (1ggte): 16.0L/100km And wow! It does it for less fuel, as well... the Ford is 20% more fuel economic than the Supra! So, what the f@$k is the point of having a 2.0L engine, when you can have a 4.0L engine that makes almost twice the power for less fuel? Come up for an argument for that, mate... and I'll be sitting right here waiting for it with a correct response :) DISCLAIMER: I do understand that the 1ggte is a much older engine, and I do respect the Japanese for there technological advancements in four cylinder engines and turbocharging, and I do understand that the US (and therefore Aust) haven't ever really been that interested in 4cyl engines.... But the main reason why I wrote this entire thing was because of the keyboard warrior who thought he was fully sick and that a stock Supra would shit on a Ford. Which it won't, which I've proved. I'd write more, but I'm hungry and I want my dinner. I will return :). Dan.

Will GT5 be released on PS3 or PS2 (or both?)? Haha btw, drag racer v3 ftw, you can put a 550ci big block into a Civic and run like.. three second passes! Works, trust me :D

Getting on the topic of body swaps, how about a bloody WRX thats been worked to the shithouse.. and a late 80s Excel body mounted on it, LOL. Imagine the f@$kin looks on peoples faces when they see they get blown by a old excel that sounds like a bloody WRX. If I were rich I'd pay someone to do it just for a laugh!

Bloody nice photos mate, the little Daihatsu is a pretty mad car, I don't know where I've seen it before.. but I've seen it somewhere. All the Corollas are bloody mad, especially the wreckers one.. I actually really like it [4MYEGO] what a laugh :lock: I love the setup on the VN (through the bonnet) looks pretty mad to me ;), and quite frankly the Beetle owner needs to get a life lol! Oh, and that minitruck is an Isuzu MU with a Rodeo front on it, laying sill. Mad car, there was one that I seen a picture of at a Summernats that ran a V8 (not so low but, they're actually 4WDs), which was bloody mad! Good pics, hope you enjoyed the show. Dan

Flashing light will deter people that don't know their way around immobilisers... and if they don't get deterred by the flashing light, they most probably won't be deterred by an immobiser. If you can wire something up, someone will be able to get past it. Try a get f@$ked siren. I've been thinkingof wiring up a siren on a remote powered (solenoid ?) using the same switch as his door lights. When the interior light comes on, so will the siren, if its been enabled (basically putting a switch in the circuit for the siren, which runs through the power for the interior light. switch is remote operated).. that will deter someone from stealing shit from inside your car. If you want to demobilize the car, put a fuel switch in, or just take out the dizzy rotor if its going to be sitting there for a while, its easy and takes the best of thirty seconds. But, as said previously, if someone wants your car, its theres... sadly

Haha thanks fellas.. didn't know I shared my birthday with God (ie Nick)... Twas good.. yet f@$ked. Lost control doing snakeys (in the pine plantation, closed roads) suddenly whipping the car round the way i'd came at 70 kays, lol.. won't be doing that again.. later on ripped off my rear resonator and rear bumper on a pothole, then my mate Mitch decided it would be a f@$king mad idea to go into the boggy sand when he was whipping nuts, effectively pancaking the f@$king car on the sand - no air gap underneath it, tried for two hours to get it out to no avail, then out of the blue a f@$king Hiab comes along, like.. what the f@$k is a Hiab doing in a pine plantation! and he towed me out :lock:.. my Falcon has seen better days hahaha.. was good fun though.. I let it by Mitch considering he got me a carton of piss for me birthday, no drunken forum posting for me though haha Dan

A 1UZ powered Hilux dual cab ute, bagged... clean, white, nothing special, so it will look like the apprentices work ute with rims coming down the road.. however it would be awesome quality, the mods that would be done would look like they were supposed to be there in the first place - no tacky shit. I'd love a white KE35, also lowered to the max, with a 4AGZE... same deal as the Hilux, clean and factory looking, unsuspicious. But, both of these are a long way away from me, so all I can do is smile and think about it... :y:

Perth to Adelaide is 2000 odd kays. It is possible to do it in 20 hours if you sit on 130 the whole way, but the f@$kin kangaroos are deadly after nightfall, particularly between Kalgoorlie and Norseman, and Eucla and.. shit, forgot the last towns name at the end of the Nulla. They're big heavy bastards that will write off your car if you hit them. Would be good to see that happen man (go to the gazzanats, not get your car written off) Dan.

Apparently if they take a photo of you doing a burnout or whatnot, they can dob you in for it and you can get charged. A bit contradictory though, it should be overseen because of the fact that noone asked your permission before taking the photo, there is laws against that (correct me if I'm wrong). Hahaha thinking about cop assumptions, I got searched once when I was out at night, because they saw my white t shirt had stains on it which they thought were blood. They searched my bag, pockets etc (yes, I know they can't do it. but would i prefer them to put some shiny bracelets on my wrists and wreck my f@$king night) because they thought I was the culprit for stabbing some c**t earlier on that night... which I wasn't... When I think about it, there are probably ten or so similar VN commonwhores in my neighbourhood. Does that mean that they will all get harassed because one guy 'f@$ked up' by smoking it up to entertain his mates? Not FAIR

Might sound stupid, but have you checked the connection on your leads? If they are loose.. it could cause it. Happened to my mates car, he bought new leads ($20 from Supercheap) and the problem mysteriously went away. He did replace his spark plugs too, but the leads were very loose fitting.

114.3x4 I think is the stud pattern You can run chrome bumpers off.. I don't know, ask Biggo, hes done it (I think) Chrome trim rings is what they are called, they are f@$king mad :y: haha Good luck man

Well, I've seen it happen with my own eyes. By paint, I don't mean paint thats been on there for years though.
-
Cool, can't wait to see pictures of it!
-
:good: Will look mad, did you get the paint colour matched? I'm looking at buying some paint for my EAs door and bonnet but I'm scared that it will look out of place, comparing 25 year old paint and brand new paint, it will probably be different.

Thats them, for sure... bloody expensive rims though, whats the point of having rims that are worth more than your car? Dan.

*Proud face* How come my manager doesn't do that for me :) But back on the topic... is it sorted now? You know what you can do, all your options, we've heard a million and one storys relating to whats happened, ideas to prevent it... and the best of all was the legal advice from MissSydneyCruising So, now you not only know what shouldn't happen, and that your not the only poor soul to be victimised as a circumstance of a road rage attack, but you also know the practical thing to do if you really do want to report it. Problem solvered?
-
Yeah JIP :) Believe me on this... it will be a pain in the ass, no matter where you are, if you don't have enough water... haha. Especially in the middle of the nullabor, in a old motorhome with no air conditioning, on a typical nullabor day. Waters also bloody expensive out there :P. Enough of the chitchat from me anyways, good luck with your trip and I hope it all goes well and to plan :)
-
Postwhore :) You guys have got a great idea happening, just remember you need shitloads of water when you go camping, believe me, been there and done it, if you don't have enough water it turns it into a miserable experience... mosquito repellent and a swag are neccasary too :)
-
No problem whatsoever mate, shes bloody beautiful.. something was f@$ked up about the pictures wouldn't let me send them either, had to resize them and change their file format, but there here! Pics; Whens the next burnouts/drags your gunna compete in man, wouldn't mind seeing her run :) Dan.

No panel beating mates, sorry :). Post them up hey, I really don't know of any and they're handy mates to have :)
