  1. You guys must do them up to 6 billion ft. lb of torque. I take my steering wheel off once or twice a month (change steering wheels for the track) and its no more than a 2 minute job to whip one off and put the other one on.
  2. Amen to that. But oh dear that would cost money! We can't have a solution that would cost money. Perhaps they should spend speed camera revenue on TRAINING and EDUCATION instead of building dangerously placed roadside barriers with that money.
  3. While I don't have any problems with the new laws....they don't solve the problem...
  4. OK...theres your problem. Case closed. Microsoft have issues following W3C conventions and have had issues with it for a long time. Its simply a coding difference between whats accepted in the coding community and what Microsoft wants. I'm not prepared to change the code because there isn't anything wrong with it. Both myself and Ruts use firefox and have absolutely no problem with attachments.
  5. If you don't tell me what browser I can't help...

Don't panic whatever the manifold measurements end up being. You should be able to find a turbo for it regardless. The only reason I'm suggesting Nissan turbos (or should I say turbos off Nissans..they're mostly garretts) is that they're the most plentiful turbo you will find. I can't imagine a replacement Saab turbo is easy to find.
  7. I'm putting this down to a browser related issue and as such I'm not willing to fix it. (Its not really broken anyway, its just a W3C non-compliance issue on (I'm assuming) Microsofts part)
  8. As much as you'd like to think you're someone we pay close attention to...you're not. Sorry to disappoint you. p.s. have you served your 48hr suspension yet??
  9. Link me to examples.... You still can you're just not looking hard enough :D Attachments without a placement still go to the bottom of the post by default.
  10. Hes 110% sure I can tell you that!!
  11. Yes and its now located in the trashcan. You really do carry on a bit for a region leader....
  12. Its so you can stick your head over the guard and look at it close up rather than look at it from several feet away if it were right way up.

Its hard to tell without measurements but it looks more like a T3 flange to me. Post up some measurements and I'll see if I can tell you what it is. If it is a T3 flange try an RB20DET turbo. They're about as easy to find and as cheap as a CA18 T25. Don't...it wont work.

Personally I think unless you're willing to crank a T28BB up into its efficiency range (i.e. 12-20psi) you're better off with something smaller (and cheaper). They call GTR turbos T28s but they're far smaller than any T28 you'll find on an SR20. They're even smaller than T25s on CA18DETs. I think you'll find it will run out of puff up top.
  15. Looks like awesome fun. It'd be a Gypsum mine, Gyprock is a product made out of it.

That exhaust housing looks like it came off a bloody truck....good luck spooling that thing :no2: Specs don't tell me a whole lot. Edit: If its this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/T3-T4-T04B-V-Band-T...1QQcmdZViewItem Its too big...by far. You'd want a turbine A/R of 0.64 this things a whopping 1.15. Id love to see it try and make even a reliable 20psi on those hydromatic bearings. The guys a f*&king liar. Get your money back. Theres alot of cheap nasty turbos going around particularly on ebay. I personally will never ever ever buy a performance part off ebay, new or second hand. A good brand new turbo should cost over $1000. Bigger ones up around $2000+. Second hand ones are sometimes a few hundred dollars depending on how desirable they are. I would suggest you find a T25 off a CA18DET. They're better suited to the engine size, cheap, plentiful and plenty of upgrade options right up into the 500hp range. If you want something brand new and bigish for the engine. Go for a GT2560R (GT28R) with a 0.64 exhaust housing. Even that will be laggy (up around 4000rpm). If you go with a T25 you can always upgrade to the GT28R later (its essentially bolt on). If you ever need to ask someone about what you're buying I'm always (usually :y:) happy to answer questions.

You will need either a remap (if the ecu can take it) or go aftermarket. Fuel and ignition maps are completely different to NA motors.
  18. I agree. Also helps sometimes if you get it on the steering lock and do a few gentle ones that way too. DON'T try and lever it off, you're gonna damage something for sure.
  19. OK enough getting up the dog. In my youth (i.e. under 12yo) I was bitten by dogs (would be multiple times), horses and god knows what else. I don't blame or hate any of them. Anyone ever consider it was reacting to a situation the only way it knows how? Leave the poor thing alone and perhaps realize that the dog may not like a kid playing with it.
  20. I believe my 73 KE20 had the plate upside down. All the AMI KE2xs had borg warners except for a brief period in 1973 when there was an issue with supply so some got banjo diffs (like mine had)

  22. Thats because we (ok...Nick) pay a small fortune to have the site hosted in Australia. The reason the images take longer to load is because they're still hosted off-shore (In the US of A) to save data charges.
  23. Can we please use our full range of keys and take the time to type the Y and O in you? :y:
  24. Don't forget that friction coefficient plays a big part. You can get Racebrakes RB74s for about $145 same temp rating but I'll wager they have a far better coeff than the Lucas pads. I went from a coeff of 0.36 to 0.50 and the difference is massive (Ferodo Excel to Ferodo Racing DS2500 $245).
  25. OK back on topic now....
