Pull it all out, build a carbonfibre surround, whack in a big tacho and a 3-digit LCD display(for the speedo), and warning LEDs if anything starts to behave wrongly... :jamie:
-
They'd be some f@$king big headrests man!!
-
Whats wrong with people today?? Thats easy.... :jamie:
-
carbied?? 4k-zc??

My 4k runs on premo with Flashlube. Timing is a little further advanced to use the premium... I used to run my 3k KE30 on 130 octane avgas I had for the rallycar. The beast used to fly, and blew BIG flames!!!

Since the move to Hobart, Ive seena few other members kicking around. NHILLAU, parked A stock-looking KE35.... Not sure whos it is but Ive seen it on here. Johnny Rochester's "TE37" The blue one, with the sexy import tail lights!! Got my eyes peeled.... :locked:

Thats very insane!! Can't wait for some vids of the car in 'angry mode'

UPDATE: FEB 06... Been a little while, but Ive been flat out trying to get used to hobart and get ready for uni next week. P:36 (GIR, as its unofficially dubbed) has been pretty good. The driving lights are all hooked up, only issue there is that they vibrate and bounce like a muthaphukka... Will have to build some steady bars for the bumper. We are also part-way thru the alarm/immobiliser install. Changed the front engine seal, as it was knackered, and now she doesn't leak a drop of oil anywhere!! NOICE :D She does however have a busted gearbox. I was driving sensibly (for a change) and BANG no second gear. I drove it for a while skipping the use of 2nd gear, but now the other gears are clunking, even reverse... So I think its cactus!! Got another box from 1ggtelola, and that'll go in tomorrow or sometime soon. Its also got a really, really, really annoyin rattle somewhere in the tray. Not sure what is the culprit, but anthing loose (oil bottle, flashlube, wheel brace etc) has all been taken out. The rattle is right at cruising frequency too, so driving anywhere this horrid f@$king rattle is present!! I'll get someone to crawl around in the tray at cruising speed, and work out where the rattle is... Then I'll fix it!!! All seems to be well... I'd like some more supportive seats tho, as fanging it into corners with vinyl KE30 seats isn't very cool!! Future involves: Better seats, RA40 front struts (with gas shocks) Gemini carb conversion (Not in that order..) :P

He he he... Black bumpers, Black bonnet, Black round the tail lights and "Reynella Tofu Shop" in japanese on the doors!! Panda 72???
-
A mate of mine buys worse damaged cars than that, and repairs them... He's a gun, and all his repairs come out looking like new. How he does it, I don't know. Clever Bastard.
-
OK... To throw a spanner in the works... Anyone who has driven a full-blown racecar will know how much of a bastard they are to drive on the street/in traffic. Bone-jarring suspension, noisy, often spartan interiors (some of the rallycars I have driven don't even have heaters), Inconvenience of rollcages/no backseat or boot space, not to mention squeaky brakes that take 500degrees to actually work and ceramic/brass 'button clutches' (Ever tried a hill-start with one of them puppies??) Those of us who voted 'speed'.... Did you factor in all these annoying bullshit things that come with having a tough, race-ready car??

Good hit Sunshine, Thats over the fence and out!!
-
Maybe a museum-concourse KE30 2dr sedan, and TE27 and TE37 levins!! And on that note, an ex-works TE27 World Rally car.
-
St.Nick Real= Nick KE36 panelvan: White, noisy, 4 driving lamps, TRD graphic on bonnet, no carpet, no stereo. No power but lotsa fun!!
-
"Why rice when you can race" Thats gotta be 'bumper-sticker of the year' right there!!
-
Depends... The Corolla would get $20k worth of insane-rally-car-treatement!!! Nothing but serviceable, practical safety and performance mods... on the other hand... The BMW would get nothing but style and ICE mods. It wouldn't take long to spend either: $1k on lighting, $3k on suspension, $6k on removing dents and a lick of fresh paint, $6k on 20s and $4k on ICE... Bang $20k blown!!
-
Its always the way... I took them to the tip and threw them away!! Next time I'm up your way, I'll let you know to see if you still have it...
-
Didn't anyone pick up that the iroc was a CAMARO not a Vette?? hehehe Some shit different pieces of corn... :P Anyway... I think P:36 is gonna be unofficially dubbed "GIR" Anyone familiar with Nickelodeon's "Invader Zim" cartoon will no doubt sympathise!! Reasoning being that the van is quirky, thrown together using parts from many sources, make some strange noises, sometimes does what I want it to, and has some bizarre ideosyncrasies that I've never come across before... Hmmm sounds like GIR to me!!
-
Hey Guys, Just busted 2nd gear in the van... :( (I was actually being sensible for a change... Bang!! No 2nd!!) Does anyone (pref. in hobart region) have a K40 or K50 that needs a new home?? Need something reasonable, as the car is my daily!! And with all the hills I need to traverse in my travels, having no 2nd gear is not good!! :P :) PM or post here to help a brother out!! :P
-
....and less cops willing to book you for stupid traffic infringements!! Tassie is FUN!!! We have the best roads in Australia.. Possibly even the southern hemisphere. 99 will surely agree with me!! Gotta love Hellyer Gorge up north!!

RA40?? -
There is a heap of E34 (my shape 5 series) owners from the mainland on www.bimmer.info in the 5 series forum. I finally have my BMW down here in Hobart too.... WOOHOO!!
-
Pretty Gutless... Busting up someones car, as it sits there defenseless!! Bet you they feel really tough too!!! "He he... we taught hima lesson!!" f@$kiing Lowlives!! Someone took to the BMW one night, big key-circles on one half the bonnet, all the front guard, both doors, and rear 1/4 guard!! Good thing was that the BMW paint is so hard and thick that ONLY about 10cm of the TOTAL keying effort couldn't be polished out!! That night they stole my alloy valve caps too!! A mate milled these out of a peice of aluminium for me... one off, and they looked awesome. The most damage they did that night was to one of the front fog lights... They kicked it SOOOO hard that it smashed 3 of the 4 mounts, and broke the globe!! And its too expensive for me to fix right now... I'd love to find these people and show them what happens if they fight something that WILL fight back!!
-
I second something "period"... Something ol' skool that suits the shape of the car!!
-
Fayt, Man thats one sexy MFn KE10!!! I love the old skool gen 1 shape!! BTW have you seen the blue one and the beige with white stripes KE10s that do club days?? Guy in the blue one (has a vinyl top??) repotedly pulls 10,500rpm out of the bugger!!
