  1. Pay a sketchy looking bloke hanging around to break in for you. :P You can usually get in with packing tape, wire or worn keys/ keys from around the same era.. besides that I'm not sure short of scissors or a screwdriver
  2. Body is still pretty average on it.. I've nearly finished the boot at least.. Then i need to tidy the rest of it up.. Get this front end together, engine and manual conversion in, need to change the inner door handle to the later model, change the seats to something more buckety etc.. Then start planning the engine conversion and whoring bits to get that all done
  3. It'll be fully sik though. I only want -1 to 1.5 and thats it. I don't want it for show or for tyre wear to show off to people at the maccas car park. Just adding a touch of negative camber instead of the positive it has now, and a bit of castor adjustment will make it crazy better to drive
  4. You're comparing totally different cars though.. Torana's look ok with wide tyres, But you wouldn't get that size tyre under a ke70 without work.. You wouldn't get that size tyre under my ke10, you'd struggle to get a 195 under it with ANY offset.. Therefore.. Skinnier tyre, better fit, looks better, rides better, doesn't scrub, doesn't muff my guards, po-po haven't complained about any of my cars so..
  5. Why not? Everyone else with a ke70 does.. Even though they don't know what it does haha
  6. Run different lca's or re-drill the lca mounting point. Ke70 lcas are shorter than '55.. pretty sure the track is around the same, easier to make that work than make brackets
  7. To be honest for yours I'd just redrill the ke70 engine crossmember.. there's not a heap of difference in width.. just drill it, fit and you're done
  8. The wheels themselves do fit well, That's the thing.. It's the fat tire that doesn't fit..
  9. If you have to pay someone to do it, you'll be paying a lot... Auto electricians really aren't cheap.. Try and find a wiring diagram, a lot of it is just plugging stuff in, so even if you get as much done as you can it'll still work out cheaper
  10. Well for me, its a 44 year old car.. I'd rather run a stretched tyre than have my guards flared and ruin the car.. which flaring them would probably dimple the guards.. it's not a race car so I'm not getting all nerdy about grip.. running a skinny tyre is better than ruining my car IMO
  11. 195 was square on my 6.5's Depends on what you want your car for.. my ke10 feels much nicer to drive with a fat wheel and a thin-ish tyre. Because it wasnt designed for a 205 tyre and it feels kinda wack.. Plus, if I run a tyre that wide, it won't fit under my guards, it'll hit my struts and it'll hit my foot well.. There's a reason I'm running thinner tyres.. mostly to fit my wheels because the offset is a little big for stock guards, and its better to drive..
  12. Hasn't moved, I've been getting the boot lid ready to go on. I still need to research struts as I may go a different direction with this than I was first going to.. I thought today about mounting the castor rod setup etc in it and how I'll do it, as I wasn't too keen on the ideal of drilling holes in my chassis rail..
  13. Hahahahaha! http://www.dragzine.com/news/postman-pat-the-most-awesome-kiddie-ride-ever/
  14. Depends on the actual size of the rim.. 185/60 is perfect on a 14x7 165/55 or 175/60 is perfect on a 13x7 In my opinion anyway.. But a 165 on a 15" rim would look so rank..
  15. ^ Damn you work fast! ^ Bought this today, It MMH! Win. Live gig in 2 weeks, Keen!
  16. To me a 165/55 looks better on a 7" rim than 255/70's did when old blokes had Torana's
  17. Does your video camera look like this? Records about the same
  18. Now that I look at this on computer I see that might have been what blzbub is on about at the top of the page?
  19. While sounding like a Beetle with half it's exhaust rusted away
  20. Even though they came out with them overseas (Te27) I believe that engine is too heavy for a ke20.. They're a fcking heavy engine for a 4 cylinder.. 4age is lighter, More powerful, More efficient, Much much bigger aftermarket support and they aren't all that expensive if you can get a good deal on one.. At the end of the day that's my opinion but i reckon you could do a carby 4age for about the same price as a 3tc
  21. In fear of getting labeled a Hipster again.. I had a thought of the possibility of adding Tagging to RC? For example if someone's in a thread and says oh 'asdkasd' has done this before you have a chat with him, If you could Tag the user then they could just jump in and answer rather than them not noticing the thread etc
  22. Did you just chop them?
  23. Cheap!! Also want!
  24. Go RA60 rear swaybar, 20 bucks for a wreckers, bit bigger
