  1. I reckon your max mechanical advance will have to be more around the 35-40* range than 25*. I know my max advance is set at 28* BUT THATS ON BOOST!!!! When tuning we wound it up to 32* and it didn't knock, just made less power. Obviously for you being NA you'll need more.
  2. Don't even consider a 10a. Only thing you'd put one in these days is a restored, original condition R100, 10a RX3 or 110s. ...and even then it would cost you a overrated to build. Darren - CC = Ml. 1000cc = 1lt, which is 1000ml. :P Does it have to be the production listed weight, or actual weight? Could always boolt some blocks of lead under the car!!! :)
  3. I think you'll find that is for a DE, not a VE. :)
  4. Will update the other thread for you. Got a new turbo now then?
  5. Mines 2.5 aswell (tar). If you can get a 2 inch system cheap then just go with it. 2" won't restict you too much until you're up over 15+psi.
  6. Nope Y pattern is bigger. Can can however get a weber>Y series adapter plate just like a K series one. Bought one once thanks to "3 trips Pabs". Local auto parts store that always takes atleast 3 trips to get the right part. :)
  7. Start here maybe
  8. Listen to him^ :) Kill somebody with a weldy = don't drop the soap. I've had a few weldies in rollas, over them now so none of my cars currently have weldies. Because it somewhat changes your driving style (ie turns you into a bogan :P ) you will break axles and possibly the welds/sun gears in the diff. And I've done all of this with a 4k, let alone a 12a. Stock diff just won't hold up to it so start to save you pennies now for an upgrade, and get something that will take an LSD when you can afford it.
  9. Actually you're half right.... It isn't a falcon weber, thinking one thing, typed another. The falcon ones have an oval shaped top not diamond... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-Falcon-XE-XF-W...=item35a44aac1c
  10. Did you search for carby info!! :)
  11. Been ther done that. Had a carpet layer mate who got me some offcuts for free. I used it in my mazda to try and quiet it up a bit inside. Because I have a Knox moulded carpet I found that the underlay screwed around with the fitting of the carpet. It was just a bit hard to try and trim it round some corners and you end up with humps and lumps in it here and there. I've actually now removed the underly - Its not all that much noisey and the carpet now fits A LOT better. Just my 2c. :jamie:
  12. I recently got some attention from the poo poo. Pod filetr was one the only things they picked on. Its solidly mounted to the chassis already, but they did say I need to box it in. Rules and regs change from state to state so you need to check with your local RTA.
  13. If you taken the whole strut out of the car maybe Try putting the hexy doodad in a vicey thingo and turn the whole strut instead. :jamie: If its really tight, put a steel bar in behind the discs for some leverage.
  14. Yeah maybe a ke10 or 20 item, but not a 30 or 55. They're just too common. At the end of the day its a tape deck (who used taped these days anyway!) with 3x speaker outputs and an AM radio! :jamie: ...not! The Clarion 8-track player in my mazda, now thats a different story. Not that you can still get any 8-tracks these days to play in it. :bash:
  15. That happened at the same time of the media release about the ford>holden swap.
  16. To answer your question - Bin it, aint worth shite. :jamie:
  17. I can't quite remember if the corolla ones are 1 or 2 piece :jamie: confused with that and my mazda. As far as I can remember they're one piece though. You need to remove the steel>rubber connection where it goes through the guard. Then there's a little metal clip that hold the hose to the strut. Lift that one and then you can pull the hose off the strut.
  18. :jamie: Thats some funny shit right there. Chuck $50 my way and I'll send you one you can drop straight in. Noticed you had the head off. Did you get it faced while it was off, cause that could be just as much to blame.
  19. Because this has been cover sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many times before, I'm just going to lock this thread. Use the search or FAQ tabs up the top and I'm sure you can find it. :jamie:
  20. yep, Falcoon weber. Air filter is doing SFA btw with that hole in the corner. Its supposed to be for the tappet cover breather if you want to hook it up. :jamie:
  21. Nope. I ran mine for about a month with no dump pipe what so ever!!! :jamie: Its on in this pic, but you can see the charf from when it wasn't.... You sure you don't have any major boost leaks? And is this free revving (in neutral) or actually while driving? Also have you locked your dizzy up yet? Cause you'll blow a head gasket tomorrow if you haven't!!!
  22. Because Ford dropped their 888 sponsorship and Holden is happy to have them in their camp. Motor racing is expensive. Even for our premier class. Factory backing goes a long way...... just as the ARC guys! :jamie:
  23. Reading this thread would be a good start... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=34252&st=15 :jamie:
  24. Taz_Rx

    My Ke70

:jamie: After looking at that above centre pic I'm thinking that this kit may have originally inhabited a Mini engine bay! The manifold looks like a mini one... ....which has had the mini flange cut off and some K ones welded on. Dump pipe isn't going to stop it boosting properly BTW.
  25. SR20VE... Do you think maybe the VVTi kicks in at 0:54 seconds!?
