Hi, Was going to replace my KE15 glove box the other day with a new one I had for it. Went to remove the original KE15 one and noticed this: The elastic mount int eh top. Looks like it has been there since new. Can anyone confirm if it was and if they are original what went there? As my other original box has no elastic in it at all. Cameron

^^ Those kits look good. Another way is talk to Jason on RC here he has a 4agze with SC14 running waste spark system and coil packs if i remember right he knows that way to. And he runs a megga squirt ECU. Prob easiest route honestly. Cameron

Hi, Taz if your still having troubles try a no load test on the starter. reduction starters no load should pull less than 90 amps at 11.5 volts. I have a how to on rebuilding this starter from Toyota if you need it. Could be a faulty starter as if you have a big batterya dn good starter no reason motor wont crank at 250RPM so you get a pulse. Do you have access to a metal lathe? I have a custom made dizzy for a 4K at home here that has a EFI sensor on it for TBI injection setup for a 4K so ECU and run dizzy with fuel. VERY easy to do just need a good measuring device draw up idea and turn it up. If you want I can get pics of mine. Pretty much if you know what your doing don't see why not you can't fab one up in a day. Mine was ECU advance but no mechanical on it But to add that wouldnt be hard either Cameron

But I got it at walkers A1 parts shop in Ipswich he has them on the shelf. In ACL cataloge it is under 2K motor gasket. Now if your good you will find one with a water cooled manifold hole in it. I have looked now since I got the car don't exist now even K-B motor for a KE15/17 is listed as the one I got no water hole. But I happened to run into a guy once that had an original KE15 asbestos gasket with water hole he gave to me so there out there but BLOODY hard to get your hands on. And car shops will argue all day long saying they don't exist the water hole ones well they do I have shown them pics but ACL has nothing or other makers so if you need one fast get the one I have in my ride thread was sub $10 I think and well made. Is for big port but so on a small port head wont line up and they also seal 100% better then divided ones when running extractors. Cameron

Looks like an early 3K BUT has a 4K styled rocker cover with screw in cap SO could be a 4K runnign stock early dizzy normally found on 3K's. But for certain I can say has a red catch can, choke cable looks like it isn't in original holder spot, runs a K powered van intake on it (put a pod filter on :( ) and has a missing aircon belt and is a flat top piston model. The K letter will be on the block to the left of the dizzy if your looking towards the motor with it slanting away from you. Cameron

Id rather not buy more as well I got like 7 of these bad boys all test and work at set temp sitting in shed just need a clean so id rather save my moolah..lol

Can you tell me the acid that is in it? I got access to a LOT of acids. And id rather not accidentally dissolve them..LOL Also I'm just worried the grit blaster will damage the valves surface leaking water etc so it wont do its job properly. But I have been told acetic acid (aka vinegar) will clean them up well. Is this true? Cameron

Hi, Well doing up my KE15 cooling system and I want to do it properly so I can make a WIKI article on it. So one part I want to do is cleaning the thermostat. Now these are all tested and work. But are covered in crap :wink: What is the best way to quickly clean them? can I grit blast them safely? Pic below of the mess they are. Cheers Cameron

Hi, In all my books On K motors I even have the 5k ENGINE MANUAL they all crank at 250RPM. Upgraded your main power cables yet? The ones I mean are batt to alt to starter and earths? I got 4 gauge cable in KE30 did up grade my self HUGE improvement so try that. No load amp draw from a KEXX starter is 55amps so try a no load test also. Will show if starter is dying. Also sensor position for ECU. Is it close aligned right to pick up the ignition pulse? And is 200 the lowest ECU will do? As if sensor is good and starter loom fixed can't see why a normal starter wont kick it. Cameorn

lack of funds..lol my first goal KE15 on road. second collect pannels respray white original colour slowly. Then one day when red take those panels in all fresh and car and get it original white again. Just time cash etc. Also once new a person who had oin striping on his KE20 NEAT I mean you had to see it to get the effect his was a nice blue with pin stripes white strips on it LOOKED HOT and red ones on dash really defines the cars lines and gives it eht old school look I think it would also suit a KE30/55 Cameron

Kinda do a rat rod look BUT it wont be a rat rod. Matt Black all over red pin stripes to complement the chrome strips and then some pin striping around the gauges etc that will make it look the part with white walls. ^^^ what don't you know man your clued up on SO many issues. I mean OK this isnt really an issue lots of bands get made up paid and then told to piss of these days. But mmm good that you noticed with this band. Also crap pest COVER ever. But I listen to pink floyd for pretty much the guitar parts so only PINK Floyd can do them as good as anyone else so I prefer the originals. Cameron
