  1. Just to clarify this thing is brand new top to bottom. New bearings(all of them), new "shimmed" oil pump and pretty sure Stu put a new aftermarket gauge and sender in it. Also after some telephone convos I'm pretty sure he's bolted a mechanical pressure gauge right into where the sender goes.
  2. Nah bro you need to pull it apart to put the plasti gauge in.
  3. Don't laugh but spray-on oven cleaner is what my mate swears by for cleaning carbon off. He then uses degreaser and a pressure wash. Vernier calipers, you say. Don't you mean a "very near guessing stick" Bearing clearances should be checked at a minimum with plasti gauge. I usually measure them with a dial indicator bore gauge and then check em with plasti gauge. Plasti gauge is cheap, save you buying a new guessing stick. On the crank. If you run your finger nail over it can you feel it? Might clean off with a light linish, but I'd get a machine shop to do it.
  4. You'll need a hydraulic clutch pedal setup too. Jordan do you do these for the earlier stuff or is it just the ksev? Might be worth looking into.
  5. When you think everything, your about put in it is clean enough to put in. It isn't and it will need to be cleaned again.(Trav now gets me to clean all his parts before I assemble his 4AGTE, because when he thinks its right I make him do it again😂) Triple check ALL of your measurements!!! Don't over oil the bores or put any oil on the rings. I've found it makes the rings take longer to bed in and can make the rings carbon up quicker. I usually only use moly assembly lube on valvetrain parts(camshafts, cam bearings, lifters, rockers and valve tips). I use wd-40 on the bores and a little on the piston skirts. And engine oil on the main, conrod bearings and gudgeon pins. Hope that helps bro!!
  6. Sounds to me like the Qld state government is down on revenue.
  7. It's a very nice coolant heater isn't it.
  8. This is my preference, Luxo and bonkers all in one. Getting one as a tow pig when I've got a lazy $150,000. http://youtu.be/8SPjC-Eubo0
  9. All three of the "flat top piston" 4k's I've pulled down have had twin row. Was that 4k you had Gav a 4ku by any chance? You'll probably find its the hydro cam engines that run singles. Its pretty easy to tell if its an aftermarket performance one. They'll have multiple key ways on the crank gear.
  10. Not sure on a 3k but yes 4k are double row std. 5k's have a single row.
  11. Does it need to be cleared at Vicroads head office?
  12. Could be. Old mate Heath coming along?
  13. Jells park, jells park and lastly jells park!!!!
  14. Does it pop back through the carb?? My bet is the dizzy is 180 out.
  15. Meh it's a ke10 with a bigger engine and different tail lights. I've been known to tell people it's a series 2 ke10 haha. All good. Now to finish license and entry form and I'm ready!! Is Frank organizing it?
  16. Haha fixed!! Is that the gp5 thingo on the calendar? Do I need to pre-register? Cause its on like donkey kong with on a neck bone baby!!!!! If I bag out old mate enough he may drag out the seca for some GZE action.
  17. Yep, best bang for buck coilovers on the market for the ae-8x/9x.
  18. I've seen your YouTube vids. You never spent any time off wide open throttle!!
  19. Yup, one of the better modded late model rolla I've seen too. Hiro and yourself seem to have these things looking great. One question I do have is. Do you run filters on those trumpets?
  20. You'll have babies, 400 babies!!!
  21. This looks the biz! But then so does the Celica. Nice fab work with the IRS.
  22. Not sure about the 3k starters. I do know my 5k reduction starter works in the 4k that's currently in my 11. But saying that it does have the 5k flywheel and clutch in it too.
  23. Haha thanks but it was Leigh that changed the wheels. Brett and I just talked sheet and cheered you on. Haha I can't make Deni but I've just filled out my license form and WILL be entering next round at Sandown.
  24. I'll put you down for a group PM and do an eoi thread when I have a few more definite prices verses numbers made. Also I may have to make different top mount plates for the slight differences in the floor area under the rear seat. My 11 has ribs under the seat, but I had a look under a ke15 a couple of weeks ago and it's flat so I can get a bigger plate in them to transfer the load of the link pin brakets a bit better. A collapsible column is needed in Vic for an engine upgrade. Which is why tommy and i have one, but its a good safety upgrade. The old solid columns aren't called sternum busters for nothing.
  25. This is the only photo I have that may help with your Q Parrot. I am also working on a group buy price for 16-17mm ke1x rear bar in kit form. Sort of look like this, except slightly different mounting hardware.
