  1. Easy Tiger. We've established this fact. I'm moving on. I hope you will too. R
  2. Accepted. Granted the Celica was a good car. Decent rear suspension for a start. 900kg is probably the Toyota dry weight, and unfortunately not a figure most Celica's will ever achieve. 960 kg's is about the lightest I've ever seen one on the scales. Hence the reason people run Corolla's. The main trade off is the rear springs. Don't write off the Lancer. Awesome rally car in its day. Mitsubishi did some funky go fast bits for these things. There's at least one in Queensland that I reckon could turn you a trendy shade of green if given the chance. At the end of the day, there is no right or wrong answer. It's whatever floats your boat. R
  3. Here's a thought for you. If Celica's were so great, why did they choose to race Corolla's at that time?
  4. AFAIK 3.9 in a KE50. Could be wrong but. :y:
  5. Your problem is that you don't debate, you abuse people. Constantly. I respect your opinion, even if I don't agree with it. Try it sometime.
  6. So no-one is allowed to have an opinion but yourself. Right-o. I happen to disagree with you. But what would I know against your good self. Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has them. And I'm getting sick of seeing yours.
  7. the set in the photo are brass (meh, we had some lying around) andthe ones on the 37 are alloy.
  8. You boys really ought to get up to spec on your automotive history. Yes, it's true. It's not an "internet fact". :hmm:
  9. Okay. Granted. I was a bit harsh. I'll edit mine..... I seem to be having one of those days again, and hence I apologise. However, take a look at your posts and see how they can be read as well. R
  10. Dude, your being a bit harsh. They're juniors. They're learning. They don't get to drive day to day. *Edit: Peace, love and mung beans. :hmm:*
  11. Raven, have a look at above link, and you can see the spacers.... Mr M, They're adjustable by removing the inner bolt and then turning the eye end. Bit fiddly on the aligner, but once they're done, they're set for good. Myself and the local Pedders boys here (gratuitous sponser plug) have got it down to a fine art. :hmm: On 20's, putting more thread on the castor arms helps things, too.
  12. You can get rose joints from any decent bearing sales place. Most industrial area seems to have one of these places..... The only other thing you have to do is make up some spacers, but that's easy. Interested to here about the GJ arms, too. Cheer, R
  13. Can do them for less than $100. Easy to make. I have adjustable Lower arms, and for me it was the way to go. When we ran club cars, we weren't allowed to do this, so we slotted the top of the towers and covered the whole lot with a strut brace to hide it. we also redrilled the crossmember, but I'm not a real fan of that, although I don't really know why. You can also just cut the top out of you tower and re fabricate the holes wherever you want. If you use somethig substantial, you also prevent the tops of the towers from bowing. (I used to have to belt mine back down regularly.) I know it's a 10, but have a peek at this: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...c=8789&st=0 R
  14. Dude, I have a feeling that I may know more about gas turbines than you do. Particularly aviation ones.
  15. Slight point of order, AvTur is derived from kerosene, but is not kerosene as we know it. It's a bit like comparing unleaded with the Avgas they used to run in Spitfires.
  16. Richard Hammond is on the mend, thankfully: http://www.theage.com.au/news/tv--radio/ha...3266519812.html However it's James May that's hurt himself this time: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.j.../11/mrmay11.xml
  17. Yep, had a locker in for years. I did have a brand new TRD slippery center for the Jap diff, but I sold it many years ago sadly. Ben's right, it's better than nothing, but don't expect the miricle cure.
  18. Hmmmm. Okay. Know people who've had these, and while good, aren't an LSD. They're sort of a somewhere in between an open and an LSD. Just remember, if they worked that good, manufacturers would be using them instead of the diffs they use now.
  19. Mazda rims are 4x110 PCD. They will fit KE10/20 series, but NOT 30 series onwards.
  20. I'll get back to you........
  21. "Will it fit" and "What do you think?" incur my personal ire. Matt: BOth Ben and my good self will be around shortly for some attitude re-adjustment, just as soon as I remember where I left my re-adjuster. ;)
  22. Yep, it'll work great. Call us again when it's on.
  23. You should be able to get some Bilsteins made to suit. Wouldn't be horrendously expensive.....
  24. As I have a household of broken rally cars, I'm going to help..... :jamie:
