  1. It would depend on the individual vehicle. It doesn't suprise me that a 4" lift gives you that much deflection, as when that vehicle is lifted, it offset increases in greater proportion. I can only tell you what I found on Teddy's car, which is that deflection on a 70, over a wide range of heights is minimal.
  2. Having been a party to putting a five link in an Escort, do you really know what you're in for?? You're going to have to upright and turret the rear mount. Are you using existing leaf mounts for the trailing arms? What are your trailing arms from, or are you fabricating your own? Mmmmm, Billies. Quality Don't buy a second hand cage unless you KNOW it's going to comply. Save your pennies and get one built, then you know it'll be good. Don't get an alloy one. Buy after market H4 inserts, that's how you get them. Celica's had sealed beams like everything else AFAIK. Any questions feel free to ask, as there's a good chance I've seen or done something like it.
  3. Sadly, it's because he can.....
  4. It's okay, I know the guys concerned, and have seen the car doing all sorts of unnatural stuff. :)
  5. Ahhhhhh, the Nicholson Cruiser. That thing is serious animal. You should see if do 4 wheel burnouts.
  6. Cool. I'll PM you my address, or would you like me to collect?
  7. Nothing too ostentasious. I'll have a white one please. I saw mine at AHG in perth, and a performance car mag was giving it the going over. The gear changes and launch control were enough to make me dribble.
  8. Pffftt, old news. I saw one in Perth about 4 months ago. :) Had wood for days.
  9. Are we assuming that the 25 odd year old car is straight?
  10. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=675&st=45
  11. Cool, and which wreckers will your car be available at?
  12. No, really, Who goes on holiday in Toowoomba?? ;)
  13. Simple answer, no, yes and yes. I have a TE27 cross member and TE27 Pedal box being imported at the moment, however many people just mod what they have.
  14. That car looks great. What's the white one parked next to it?? ;)
  15. Frawleys in Redcliffe. Built my rally 3/4K motor. Bullet proof and very grunty. Know roughly what you want before you get there, and don't screw him around, and he'll build you something to behold.
  16. Plugs. Buy NGK's. :D
  17. Looks a bit like a Datsun 1000
  18. Ummm.... Sikrolla is persona non grata around here at the moment.
  19. Save your money and buy a real slippery. Anything else is a poor substitute. If they were that good, EVERYBODY would be using it.
  20. Series 2. It would be one of the very first of the update shape.
  21. Valid point, I'll take that on board! :P
  22. Does it involve gunpowder and tofu?
  23. The one on the left is the one you're meant to have, correct. The one on the right is a Victorian P-plate. No so good. Anyone flogging about QLD with the Green NSW on is in the same boat. It's the first thing they teach them in Police academy (I should know, I work for one of the ex-instructors) is "Ignorance is no excuse." I reckon that in the literature that you studied for your licence, or the literature that you got when you got it, that it will tell you the correct P-plate you were meant to have. Drink some concrete, harden up, and move on. My particular gripe at the moment is people who try to reinvent the wheel (possibly into a dodecahedron shape) and can't be told that they're wasting time, and possibly oxygen as well.
  24. The FAQ is THE place to start. A good old fashioned search would also do you the world of good. This subject has been done (again) very recently as well. Cut a long story short, bore it, shave it, cam it, carb it, exhaust it. Any or all will do you a favour. And before the flaming starts, :P
