looking good matt. How's that A/C in the Celica? oh and the sway bar question is a good one, still thinking about that. ;) :hmm:  ;)

you don't say if the head has been ported? chokes are WAY TOO BIG. i don't see it as an advance problem, more of "lack of air" at higher rpm. low down torque, or lack of, would probably be due to the choke sizes. oh and get rid of the points ignition, there is some gains to be made with electronic ignition. hope it helps.

Coming along nicely. looking forward to seeing this thing going, should be a torque monster.

It's always a pleasure Matt. Good to see that the fan worked. Give me a yell in a couple of weeks to see how it's all going.

DO NOT GO TO DRIVELINE SERVICES!!!! Hardy spicer (egale farm) are the guys to go too.

Alot of work to change it to 5 bar link, but i can see the reason why. NO diff steer.

Not a bad read. http://members.iinet.net.au/~stepho/crllaprd.htm#corolla3pr

try tightening the nuts first, they may just be a little loose.

Almost ready to drive, coming along nicely dude. :y: :y:

Yes it's a oil level sensor, you have a van engine, most of the liteaces had them. Turns the oil level light on when the oil level gets to low on the dip stick.

Anti-lag, google it.

4.77 for sure, gives them plenty of punch out of the corners. hilux diff would be a little of over kill, a T series should be able to handle a 2tg, or is it turbo'd?

spoke to Marius last night. I rekon the P/S pump was been over rev'ed. Suggested he find a underdrive kit for it and maybe change out the relief valve so the pressure doesn't build to high. But gerenally it's because of the rpm, and because it has a TRD box, i would guess it wouldn't drop below 6000rpm in an event. your thoughs?

you may find this helpful. 4AGE.pdf

if it's a road car, i wouldn't use Webber, i'd use Dellorto's, they atomise the fuel better. Better torque, webbers are good for all out race, where the engine is at a constant hi-RPM, but that's the only place they are better than Dellorto's.

I'm guessing it's a 4AC engine you have? Check for vacum leaks, as you've had the carby off, check for cracked vacum hoses as well. A good trick is to let the engine idle then use either a can of CRC or a spray bottle with water in it, and spray around the carby, if the engine picks up (rpm increase) you have a vacum leak. Could also be the ignition module inside the dizzy, these were known to play up. hard to test these, most guys just replace them. Last one, could be the fuel pump on it's way out, do a fuel pump pressure test, you can buy a cheap tester from super cheap, they do both vacum and low pressure.

In my opinion, NO! :no2: My thinking would be exceesive side loads.

Rt132 should have been a 22R? Waste of time with the 18r, there were orignally design for a van, even with a twin cam head and all the money in the world, you'll really struggle to get 200hp out of it.

4Age Race Build. Gasket Kit? Main Bearings?
TRD ke70 replied to crunk81us's topic in General Mechanical
read this, http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/26285-WARNING-ARP-Head-Studs-proven-wrong?highlight=head+studs it's good information. when bolting the sump on to the block, make sure you use the right length bolts at the back, around where the crank seal is. Have been caught out once, the bolts are quite short and any longer will cause the rear main seal to leak. Oh and a BRAND new crank from Toyota is $550, good peice of mind if you're going to flog the ʞ©$ɟ out of it. Don't use any shims or shim kit on the oil pump, there don't need it. Oil preesure should be around the 55-65 psi, no higher. Over 6500 (with a shim kit) they supply way to much oil to the head, could be a reason why so many people have problems with oil out the breathers. Small ports are so bad. good luck. -
Only have the supplement manual. to big to send via email. 50+mb what were you wanting from it? and there is this from the Wiki,http://www.rollaclub.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tech:Engine/K_Series/7K-E/Terminal_Voltages_And_Diagnostic_Codes

would love to see a photo of the engine, wiki says it's a SOHC, no such thing for a 7KE. Possible transmissions would be from a townace van or Hilux with a RZ engine. Also came in a Suzuki Vitara(Escudo) or a Chevy tracker.

She'll never be happy with that after been in the Polo. :lolcry:
