  1. My bad, had the twin round ones too. Used to get those from Toyota
  2. When I had the original air cleaner, I used to get the oval element from toyota. This was 20 odd year ago though. Sorta making me feel old :(
  3. I cut the bases out of a couple of single carb air cleaners and welded those into ( onto) a pair of chrome air cleaners meant for stromberg carbies.
  4. drain oil from struts and refill with thicker oil measure the internal and external diameter of the coils and head of to the wreckers and find something from a bigger car that is similar. ex. I used cut down HZ Kingswood V8 springs in my KE20 struts.
  5. Batch broke my old car :( Mmmmmmm, honest I've never done a motorkhana, ever. Truly...... ;)
  6. From memory, the twin carbs run a smaller Venturi than the single carbs.
  7. Mine ran ok on the 3kb carbs, but better when they were swapped for two single carbs on the 3kb manifold :)
  8. Put the hydraulics back in and you won't have a problem.
  9. I was still clipping flags on my last ever motorkhana. Trick was that I learnt not to knock them over ;)
  10. think of the fuel pump noise a the Sound of Power
  11. Sounds better :) Fuel pump noise brings back memories
  12. If I had a choice, I'd look for a coupe/hardtop. Personally, I'd also try to go earlier rather than later. Less pollution gear and usually lighter. Look for rust in the lower parts of the body (guards, sills, rear quarters), around the battery, the firewall, roof gutters and under the fuel cap. I'm sure others will add other areas to look at. Mechanically, k series engines are usually good unless they are not maintained. If you are looking into a conversion, anything if possible but may not be able to be registered. Cost, how much is the car worth to you?
  13. Shitting and spewing at the same time. Gastro sucks balls.....
  14. Then do as I do, don't go on Facebook....
  15. Dunno about your local regs but it would be a good idea to put the battery in a battery box if your gonna leave it there
  16. Just need to find away to drive the wheels at the "right" end of the car and you would be set ;)
