With some of the fuels they used to run in speedway, that sort of compression may of been realistic. I can't remember what it was now, but an old speedway racer was saying he had to add castor oil into his fuel or it would wear out his rings in a meeting.....

Had a rear bearing go like that on an ex's rolla. Knew something was really bad when ball bearings droppedonthe ground when the axle was pulled... At least you found the seal with your foot. The old man had a spanner slip from his hand and really started swearing as he saw it drop down an oil passage in my old Falcon. Made it all the way into the sump.- 539 replies

Always had tramp issues with my KE35 yet my KE20 would only tramp in reverse. Dunno why, both had similar power and tyres...

Did that in Tassie after a media day for the ARC. Some where there maybe footage of a hire car doing the spectator stage after everyone packed up... Just loose the inner guards, you know you want to ;)

Squeaky wipers :P Would of needed to make the gaps between the cones a tad bigger to squeeze the grand carnival between them ;) managed a bit of a rally stage on the way home to keep the kids happy :)

I did say it was not ideal to run a centre bore larger than the size of the hub.....
-
First of all, sounds like you need some "parallel shank" wheel nuts and washers, that should solve the issue with the wheel studs. Secondly, I wouldn't stress to much about the centre bore of the wheels being to big for the hub. While it is not ideal, it wont cause any issues.

some 5k starters are physically smaller allowing more space for exhausts and they can be removed without dropping the exhaust.
-
What tojo2 said, but be honest with them.
-
We just have to convert the non believers ;)
-
Don't stress about the hydrolics. Ran a 5k up to 8000rpm without issues with a reground cam. From memory it was a Wade 169 grind.

Whats wrong with the standard leads??? Had nothing but trouble with aftermarket leads on my 5K. IMO find a decent engine shop and talk to the man that does the building, not the muppet behind the counter. Tell them what you want to use it for and give them as much info as possible.
