All engines are basically this simple. Just depends on how much crap the manufaturer puts on them to make em, NOT SIMPLE :jamie:

People just don't know what they're worth i spose. Too low of a price and they short change themselves, Too high and noone wants em. Thing is, they've been one of the more abundent KE series over the years (now *E7* are all the rage :jamie:) so everyone expects a low price. But they are getting harder to find. Both in general and in good condition. I've watched as the number of these in the wreckers have dropped over the last 18 months or so.

Nah, not really a fan of the old RB30's. VS-VY V6 bolts straight in? mounts wise or something? But mods are more than likely required so if thats the case then the 2JZ will fit too :lolcry: Hopefully the trans mounts between the R154 and W5x boxes are similar, I could use a CRS crossmember to line up the engine and gearbox for engine mount placement. Wheels are gonna looke awesome on your little beast. You'll need Axles ouit of an early KE30 (Jap built/pre Mid77) for the as they have the same type (banjo) diff as the KE1x and Jap ke2x. Just look for a KE30 with no inspection plate on the rear of the diff, Banjo's centers bolt in from the front. With This conversion it will also allow you to run KE30 drums. and you might even be able to bolt up a set of KE55 drums which are larger again (substantialy) over Jap KE30's KE30/55's front brake package bolt right up with no mods apparantly. KE55's have lager brakes over KE30's

Spotted a really clean AE71. Stocko metallic blue. Was sitting behind it then he pulled over out the front of CMI on beach rd and then folowed me round onto Dyson Rd.

People used to do this to KE20 doors to get them to fit KE25's (lower roof on 25's)

I'm thinking, 2JZ-GTE, R154, 9in with 4.11 LSD :jamie: Conversion should be a piece of piss, V8 front brakes (if they vary from 6cyl), and statesman rear discs on the 9in. Now this has got it place in a ride forum, I might aswell post up some specs. Driveline: 3.3L (202) Inline 6cyl. M22 "aussie" 4spd manual floor shift. 3.36:1 Salisbury 10 bolt diff with factory tonner axles. Mods: Mild Cam, Stainless valves and extractors. Exterior: Ford Candy Apple red (previous owners shit job), 8'x6' steel tray painted with gloss 2pac. CSA Maglines (centerline copy) 14x7 front and rear with 185's and 235's front and rear respectivly. Mods: as above, with the rear of the cab cut out and flat backed for storage. Interior: Fully retrimmed with new carpet, head lining, Stock bucket seats retrimmed in black with red Chequered inserts (VY commodore) and had to find full length center console. Mods: virtually everything is new and different in a way apart from the dash and steering wheel. CHEERS Ryan
