4k-c Ke70 With 90hp @ The Wheels
Medicine_Man replied to Trev's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
I've been through 4 K50s (in 6 years) on a stock motor, Hate to think how long they would last on a worked motor... -
WOW uses bugger all bandwidth, Must be the latency he is complaining about.. I too am addicted to WOW at the moment and know where Corolla_Gurl is coming from.. Soon I might be the same when I start work again, I'll be very scarce on the forum.. We come an go, But we always come back for more..

Twin Or Single 40mm Sidedrafts For A Mild 5k
Medicine_Man replied to jaYmo's topic in General Mechanical
I'd say all up it cost me under $1000 to get my twin Dellorto DHLA40s installed and tuned. Get approx 400kms to a tank (Till the empty mark). Don't go single you will regret it, The sound of twins is just great to hear.. -
Upgrade it with AE86 front coilovers and get a jap T series disc rear end, By no means cheap but the simplest upgrade.. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/

Half way there, Now you got to fit it in the KE70..

Looks pretty tidy :)

Gah! I missed it :)
-
Looks like it is coming along nicely..

In the end it comes down to personal choice, I assume you mean silvertop 20 valve? Nothing wrong with a 4AGE an a KE70 anyway..

They had the same dramas when fitting mine, The guy at recarb was hesitant to machine down the intake manifold the same size as the extractors as you can never put it back on. Instead he fabricated some washers up to push down on the extractors where they needed it to keep it sealed properly. Here are some more pictures anyway..

Make sure you run EFI hose on the pressurised side of the system, Low pressure lines like the lifter you can get away with standard hose. Aslo 1.5L would be the sweet spot for a 4AG(Z/T)E motor for a surge tank. When it comes to the fuel lines, Apparently they are good for around 200RWKw with a decent surge tank setup. Get the brass end fittings off Anthony Kellam to adapt the fuel lines to take the right size EFI hose..

After Specific Info On Uprighting K Engines
Medicine_Man replied to Mr Revhead's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
I've actually seen a custom upright kit setup, he did have a custom mount for the gearbox. I didn't get a look at the way the mounts were setup though. He took his motor back to NZ with him, If I can find his details I might PM him and ask him..
