Checked the engine timing? Changed the points? Sounds like you're not getting enough spark to get it to fire properly and then all of a sudden a big spark comes along and ignites the build up of fuel. Re-checked the plugs? Checked the gap?

- Vacuum leak will cause it to stall - Too rich an idle mixture will flood it and cause it to stall - Incorrectly adjusted fuel float will cause it to flood and stall - Worn points will cause it to stall - Worn spark plugs will cause it to stall Basically, it could be anything, check those things first though.

You'd need Datsun A12 pushrods to get it to work. ;)

I'd pick sprints out of all of those and make sure its a PBR-brand rebuild kit. I wouldnt trust anything else really.

Doubt its a typo. Sometimes part numbers get superceded and a different part number is released. I deal with this day in, day out with Holden's and Ford's. It's a right pain in the arse. If you're running solid lfters, have you checked the length of 3K pushrods? ;)

And well, they are they only thing that makes your car stop. don't want them failing when you need them the most ;)

Sounds like a bad earth or you're losing power to your starter and alternator intermittently. First though, do you have dash lights when there is no audible click? Also check the battery posts for signs of corrosion. If they're a little corroded, boil up some water in the kettle and go pour it over the terminals as this will clear away the corrosion.

Need clearer pics. To me, it looks like a Bosch unit, but could be a Nippon Denso :D
