  2. raven, what does a speed cut defender do? i always thought it stopped the ecu rev limiting you at 180 or whatever, but I'm happy to be wrong as i have never looked into such a device. alex, i would look at hooking a speed sensor up, i have no first hand experience, but it was a relaible source that i heard that mentioned from. if anyone knows any better, feel free to disprove me.
  3. have you got the speed sensor connected? if the ecu is getting no road speed signal it will think you are free-revving the motor and lower the limiter.
  4. but it will rust under the bog and push the bog out in time unless the metal is treated.
  5. why did you not treat it with anything to stop the rust coming back?
  6. BUT WHY DOES A RACECAR NEED TORQUE AT 2000RPM???? with a good turbo, you will not get lag coming out of corners as you will be uppity in the revs.

  8. why are you so afraid of turbos? for a race car they are a much more sensible, and not much dearer (if at all) option. i firmly endorse turbo on a racecar :)
  9. scrap the lot and get a newer, nicer car with everything done from factory... much money can be made from parting out...

  14. funny you say that. and i know the thread is in the dark ages but yes, it does kill tyres...in a major way. and as i own the car now, thought i would ask. would just lowering it on the coilovers do anything? or do i need different adjustable tops, with more adjustment?... the best i could get was +1* camber :)
  15. the grade of glass makes a difference too. as the arc helmets are darker, coz the flash is brighter. my mig mask i can see through in direct sunlight. my other one i can't...
  16. by the looks of your welding i would say your holding too far away,and your circles need to be smaller and try and get a consistant run. alleviates alot of that blobby-ness. not being an arse, took me ages to even get something resembling decent welds. just trying to help...

  19. use a thermo switch or you will keep cooking wiring, relays, fuses and fuse holders. trust me. plenty of info on wiring a thermo fan if you google it. tazrx, can you send me some more pics of that dash build and how u did it etc looks just like what i wanted :) edit, just realised its not in a ke70...hmm. owell, still interested in how it was done...

I'm just shy of 6 ft. and i drive with seat 1 click off all the way back. with my steel caps on all the way back, and i find it squishy for foot room with the boots on. my ke70 with accord seats is just as bad. mate drove it, hes 185cm and he was quite cramped. you will get in. but will u be comfy
