Just wondering how low king springs or similar will make my stock height ke70? Looking at buying those old school supra type wheels. I think they're ma61 or something? Then lowering it a bit so it doesn't look like a 4wd. Nothing too extreme. Ta

hello there,I'm chasing some advice,i have removed my old rear window rubber from my ke70 as it was cracking,and i found a replacement on ebay,but what I'm finding hard to find is the beading you insert to keep the rubber pressed out against the glass,can anyone help thanks

Hey just brought myself a ae70 corolla was just after more info on the difference between ae70 and ke70 ie 4age engine swap, changing stud pattern and LSD diff that doesn't require shorting and the best and easy way on lower it cheers for the help any info would be appreciated -😉

Gday, Ive just joined up after buying a one owner brown Ke70 sedan off an old lady, true story! She wanted the thing gone as she can no longer drive and I felt sorry for her and kind of like the car. Its an 85 i think, brown, auto probably a 4k motor. Its has surprisingly tidy for its age with 2 small spots of rust and is completely original down to the receipt in the glovebox from when she bought it new! Plans at this stage are to throw a set of old style rims on it,( maybe jellybeans, hotwires or minilites) possibly a manual conversion and either warm up the engine or convert to a larger one. Hi I got a 1980 Ke70 with 4K, usually when i turn the ignition i can hear a relay click in when i try to start the car, but now theres nothing, and it seems no power is going to the starter when i try turn it. Battery and everything is fine, so i suspect its the relay, but where is it located? Thanks for ur help, Tom

Hi there I new to this sort of stuff but anyway I have a ke70 project car it has a 4a cross member in it ready for a 4a to be dropped in, but I'm having troubles with the gear box I assume I need a t series gearbox but does that mean I need to change the gearbox cross members from k40-t50 and if so how hard is that to do. And also with the diff do i need a ae71 manual tail shaft and will that fit a ke70 diff?

81 te72. 3tc. Idles great, timing is perfect. Has a no name ebay header, bone stock otherwise. Stumbles or missfires all over the place. Replaced stock smoggy carb with one off of a 85 4ac. As far as i can tell its the exact same carb (other than the fuel line was different, being fwd. Swapped it to mine). Yes its a non rebuilt junkyard carb. Anyhoo, runs ABSOLUTELY no different. So its either the same exact level of crappy as my old one, or theres other issues. Checked for vacuum leaks with starter fluid and found none. Wondering if its the coil/modulator thing? Hi team, First time post here so let me know if I’m doing this right.. basically I’m wondering if any members here are able to point me in the right direction for a tuning/carby specialist shop in the Rotorua/BOP area. Might be a long shot but worth a try. I’m currently battling with my 4k build and hit a brick wall with the finer points of fuelling and breathing. Where in the hell am I supposed to put my cellphone while driving? I can't install a mount anywhere. Let me know where your spots to place your phone or install a mount are. The center pocket below the screen is too deep, the cup holders are too low, and adhesive doesn't stick to the leather lining.

Hey guys so I had a problem with me KE70, it was leaking fuel from the bottom of the mechanical fuel pump, thought the pump was at its final days, ordered a brand new GOSS Mechanical Fuel Pump, installed it on the 4K, same issue occurring fuel leaking from the same spot. Just wondering if people have had the same or similar issue and things you did to fix it, I thought it might be one of either these things, uneven insulator, did not scrape the old gasket off enough(I pretty much scraped it back to bare metal), just shitty aftermarket gaskets(they were plasticy ), the engine block is no longer flat, or just need to use permatex sealant. Hello everyone! Cheers! I have a KE30 sedan with a 4K swapped engine + KE70 gearbox. I'm currently using the stock KE30 LongShaft and Axle, is there any difference if I were to put ke70 longshaft and axle into my ke30? And can I reuse the original brake lines from my ke30 body to the ke70 axle if I were to fit it in?

You may or may not be aware I have been handed the task of improving/modding the sub section of RC that is KE70.com. If you have any ideas as to how improve this section feel free to discuss them here. If you would like to move your *E7* rides thread to this section please PM me. There are a lot of sites out there mostly dedicated to the AE86 with the humble *E7* tagging along for the ride. And lets face it, even though they share many similarities they are a different car. Lets consolidate the awesomeness that is the *E7* into one spot. Chur!

do sedan handbrake cables fit wagons, if so were can i get some?

I have a 1983 KE70 slant corolla and I want to put a 32/36 weber on it. Looking at the original carby there are quite a few vacumn hoses on this carbby, and only 2 on the weber. Can anyone help with what they are all for and how I go about fitting the new carb.

Hello, I've got a 1978 Corolla Liftback that needs a windshield. I've had bad luck in searching for one; old Corollas are a rare sight where I live (New Hampshire, USA). Does anybody know a good resource for windshields? Here's a picture! Thanks, Adam

Hi Guys, just joined the club and wanted to say hi, not new to Corolla's but it's been a long time - bought a Ke20 brand new back in 1973 (yeah I am that old in body not mind) and raced it for the next few years until I totalled it. Had a pretty hand setup making lots of H.P. great handling and all the rest. That was then. Hi Guys, new to this forum. Thanks for having me. I'm moving from Qld to Syd and will bring across my KE30. Currently on full Qld rego. The car is modified with a 5K motor, K50 gearbox and diff to suit. Everything else standard. It has been engineered in Qld to be registered. However, I will need to do this again in NSW. I would like to register the car under modified historic registration with the club once in NSW. Can anyone tell me what I will need to do to have the car ready for historic rego and estimate of cost involved? Thanks in advance.

There also are not any listed on a Facebook search. Any idea of where I can get some parts.....both sheet metal and trim pieces? Thanks. Hey, I'm fairly new to the forum picked a KE70 with a 4k a few months ago for a second car have a little fun with you know the gist. Recently its blown head gasket and turned my oil into milky sludge. It's a low K motor on the odometer (but you never know). But i'd like to rebuild it and have her sound a little better its an all original car drives nice with minimal rust, like to give her a fresh motor. Perhaps with an aggressive Cam and head work. Anybody know any engine builders they can suggest for this motor. My plans for the car are to keep it original I don't want to engine swap or be a target for defects, its just a little cruiser to occasion…

Normally E-series engines come with C150 transmission, and when engine is upgraded to 'A' series e.g. 4A, 5A, or 7A, the trans is also upgraded to C50 or any C5X now i have an fwd corolla with 2E (12 valve) engine,that already has C40 transmission instead of C150. Just wondering if C40 and C50 are both same with 5th gear difference like k40/K50 or completely different. if C40 can work with 4A or 5A, this will save us some cash. YM
