figured i'd throw my rig up here had an AE86 but it was hard to be "individual" so i turfed that and went back to my first love being the 70 :D used a lot of parts out of the 86 to build a reasonable package to start off with. it had coilovers, LSD, XR4's and MKII's and powered by a JDM 16v, T50, extractors and zorst. not long after being finished a JDM front end came up so i had to have that, included lights, grill and the lower beaver panel. i threw on some chrome T18 bumpers to complete the look. got bored with that pretty quick so its been off the road now for a while getting a CA18DET :lol: pretty much wanted to kee pthe old school look and feel …

Hello all, Yeah this is my 1st time (and I may be in the wrong area as usual)... I'm happy to say that I own the good old KE70 stocky along side is the AE80 stocky, but here is my dilemma:- The KE70 has been off the road for over 5 years and slowly rotting away in my yard, I would love to get it going again but I’m lacking the money. The old girl has a loud knocking every revolution (eheh, revelation, the hell?), my guess is it’s the toque converter, it has to be loose. She also suffers from the case of rust, firm the undercoat to the muffler, so that needs a little fixing. I got her for nothing, she was given to me. My current project though is my new c…

Hey guys, just picked up my ke70 today. It's in pretty shabby condition and needs some work, got rust eating through and all sorts of little shit bits. I intend on doing most of the work myself as financial wise I'm in a drought, so any tips on fixing any of it would be very useful and appreciated. I'll get pics up of it later tonight after work. hey guys picked up a 84 ae71 panelvan for 500 on sunday (no point doing a spec thingo lol she is stock) is 1 owner (me being the second) has all receipts/ manuals etc and even a lil panelvan poster from 1984 :) came with 6 months rego, a new clutch, new battery, new tyres and new timing belt. was fairly rooted in the front (front right guard/headlight was annihilated) which pushed the front out of shape but fixed it all in about 2 hours yesturday and put my ke70 slanty front end on it also put my driver seat and luisi wheel in ;) but drives like a new car really has a few lil noises but meh things to come: gonna lower it find some el cheapo wheels for it and …

Well, I went and finally got myself an little baby rolla. And a properly special one at that! I picked this up last night from Somerset, and drove it back with Ben. Drives like a dream for a 40 year old car! It has a 5k motor in it as it sits at the moment, bolted to a pretty tight 5 speed box. The diff whines like a whore with an infection though! Everything works, except the Alternator (well, it works enough that you can drive with the lights on, or the wipers, but not both. Will fix asap) Its got some rust, its got some dents, but it's going to get fixed up soon enough. Within the next 3 months! Piccies.. can't wait to start!

hey all just bought this on ebay last night for 1125 bucks! fully mod plated 4AGE 20V silvertop 112fwhp... sard fuel reg 2.5 inch exhaust pod, surge tank bosch main pump and carby lift pump... ssl king springs and bronze racing rims... only needs front and rear engine mounts and rego and ive got a wicked daily while the ca18 ae71 is off the road doin bodywork, diff, suspension, paint, brakes etc etc list goes on... enjoy!

Ok, so I just got this home last night, needs some work but will be a fun little project in between Fonkey and ORB...... KE20, in Bamboo no less :) No engine or box (yet) Locked diff (soon to be removed) Slightly butchered engine mounts and tranny tunnel (replace/repair) 12's with hubcaps! <-- Keeping as is Seats are a little rough Fairly clean body, minimal rust, great base. Idea is to clean it up, bolt it together nice and neat, rego it then daily it as soon as the hatchback is gone. Pics!

Picked up a old KE30 farm hack for free. 10 year old son stripped car, with a Kmart tool set, I was hoping to sell some of the interior parts to cover costs but he broke every thing. ( bugger) Worse job so far has been removing sound deading, A paint scraper and heat gun work good here. Inspected shell for rust, yep it there in all the spots I would expect to find it. Had a friend asking me about getting him a 4k for his ke70, I instead made an offer on the car and viola' I now own a rwd Rolla :) Its currently an auto with a 4k-c which overheated due to being leant to an overseas visitor (bloody victorians :P) and was driven with a leaky top radiator hose, got a wee bit hot and developed a big end noise :( My friend then thought it was a good idea to hold it in low gear until the bottom end exited the sump.... Cloth interior is in really good nick, 140'000 on the clock and only a tiny bit of surface rust on the rh corner under the tail light and the front bumper has been caught on something on the rh side whilst revers…

So i have a 55 coupe on the build. got it about 6 months ago, planning a twin cam 4age or 3T 5speed! and a new paint job! :) At the moment its running a 2 ltr 21r 5speed, weber and extractors, locked diff. Let me know what you think? :D

Bought this on Sunday a 1969 ke10, 3k four speed and NO RUST has a few dents, but it is complete even owners manual and original keys. Has a saas wheel but the original is in the boot. New exhaust, new shocks all round, red interior has a tear in the drivers seat but the passenger and rear seat is spot on. Has 30+ year old 155 remington steels on it lol Engine purrs with a pull of the choke and a flick of the key B) Plans are new tyres with widened steelies or ssr's and paint and panel back too a light cream colour. When I got it, the previous owner had done all the rust repairs and sanded it back ready for paint. I also got a set of 13" hotwires and a Blacktop 20 valve with the car. WIN! Cause I was on a time fame to have it on the road, the best colour to cover everything was a bit of Spray can Satin Black :P Two coats over the whole car and still looks good now (12 months later) The hotwires had brown centres so sanded them back and they also got the satin black treatment After a little bit I got bored of just black, so I did a 2 tone effect …

A mate just bought these 2. White bonnet is single cam the other is a twinky. Started working on them today. If we get enough done in time he will be bringing the twin cam to Winton on Oz day.

It's my turn for show and tell, so here goes... 1982 'flat front' KE70 Standard 4K engine, all gaskets and hoses replaced; mild cam; oil changed; brakes remachined and so on... Singin' like a biiiird. As stated, absolutely no rust on the thing anywhere. Bought it off a panel beater who straightened the body up and painted it this lovely blue (NQX blue to be specific). Immaculate job the guy's done, by far one of the car's greatest qualities. Bought her for $950 with 184k. Mods Weber 32 36, Pulstar platinum plugs, no cat to straight pipe to 2" thrush turbo, egr block off, hood tilt to help run cooler(works well), lowered 2". Future mod I know where a Corolla this era sits with an oem chrome roof rack has not moved since 09.
