Hey all, New to the forum so firstly would like to say hi :wink: I just bought myself a KE70 slope front corolla for $400, runs great and has the 4 speed manual, has a 1.3 engine with ''hi cam'' badges on it :wink: Its got its fare share of rust, in behind the rear bumper and in the rear wheel arches, luckily i have half an idea on what I'm doing so i have made this little thing my project car. The car itself has every reciept spent on it from day one and has been a local car from brand new, and the car has only done 153,xxx kilometres!!! geoff scored me a good ke30 last week, id been toying with the idea of 4x4 or club car but decided to stop mucking about and just build a clean show car instead, ive a fair idea what i'll be doing but was hoping for a little input as to what motoring mags and show judges are looking for i plan to build what i want but i hope to end up with something that puts me at a photo shoot with one of those beeuutifull girls you see draped over cars haha (and I'm not a sterio person so unless someone out there is bored and rich thats not getting done)

the motor is 60000ks old since rebuild it has a ported head reground cam jetted carby and aftermarket coil king springs and gt gas shocks... i am fairly happy with it all ive done since i bought it 2 weeks ago is rims and the rear muffler... not that is muffles much as this thing is damn loud and i like it :) overall its a clean ae71 except for a little rust but hey its 24 years old... let me no what you think!!!

As you might have guessed from the title I have another AE71 now. For those who don't know, deemed my other AE71 too rusty to be worthwhile registering, you can find it here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17235 I bought my new one about a week ago now. Its very similar to my other one (another AE71 duh) but its got a few differences. 1. Its auto :hmm: 2. Its slightly a different color silver-green as opposed to silver on the other. 3. Its only done 158,000k's. 4. Its currently registered until June. 5. Windows are tinted. Most importantly though, its got A LOT less rust. I've wanted one of these for ages now i got one. The paint on it is less than 12 months old and it only has a few pin dints and the front bumper has been pushed in (has only bent the rio). It runs bloody awesome and the air con actually works. I still can't beleive i only paid $150 for it.

putting these webers on the ute next week along with a worked 4k alloy head which has been ported/polished/flowed and cc,s, followed by a 40/80 cam.... hopefully this will make a lot of difference see pics before you all ask the question "YES" it is a toyota (toyota publica) with 4k engine and 4 speed box (also comes with 5 speed)

Hey all. After my KE25 rego ran out, i registered a celica to drive around. Got sick of that fairly quick, so i was searching again. Saw an ae82 twinky for sale (In Town, So much more appealing) so i just had to have a look. Went and had a look, and a drive. Was very happy with it, after a quick rust check and general look over decided to buy it. He was asking 1600, but i just asked what would he be willing to take. So i ended up paying $1000. Original good condition, hasnt been Molested for wheels, stereo etc. Interior is still in nice condition. Found a new little beast the other day Swapped it for my replacement Lie-Ace (cost me $500 but i'm happy with the deal plus I was totally over rusty vans) It's a 2dr twincam EFI with full electrics Plans for it are: Full service (it's been sitting for a long time...) Fix the rust (small patch on the C-pillar, like a KE70...) Tidy-up the paint (roof & spoiler are peeling badly) Repair drivers seat Install a decent stereo (factory head-unit still works but the speakers are rooted) Fit some nice rims (nothing crazy just an upgrade from steelies) Here's a couple of pic's after heavy rain (it's still very dirty though)

hey all. as a few of you know i traded my little subaru sherpa to benzo on here for his red ke70 wagon, i loved the look of it, low top slant face just what i was after. drove the wagz round for a bit noticing it was missing a bit, so i tuned it up went round driving it having some fun etc when i looked at bonnet while driving one day i saw stuff coming from under bonnet and i thought smoke, so i pulled over, turns out it was steam, long story short blew headgasket cracked head and cracked bottom end in the 4k. finally made it to my uncles place where i could keep it till i got the new motor and installed it. next day went and got a fully rebuilt 4k motor jammed it in the…

bought an rt142 from a surfie bonghead (was covered in billabong, nova, tracks etc. stickers lol) for $400 bucks. the dude reckoned it had major head probs, but i still drove it home; changed the plugs, oil, oil filter, coolant and put some chemiweld through the radiator and 2 months later she's still goin fine. its an avante, with the 22re and a 5 speed behind it. so far only mods have been: -heavy duty falcon rear springs -removed sound deadener (couldnt find a chisel so used a flathead screwdriver haha) -cut half a coil off the front springs (i know i know but its only temporary) -5mm spacers on rear wheels -better radiator -got rid of grandma spec mudfl…

Hey guys. First to introduce my small history with ke70's & why i love them. A few years ago a had a granny spec ke70, bog stock, immaculate inside, out & mechanically, & planned keeping it that way. Then, one morning, i don't know what happened, i clicked (got bored i guess). Cut the springs & painted it sunkist orange. Mind you, it was my first full spray job on a car, so was pretty average. hey guys this is my 82 flat front ke70 that i bought for $810 from a guy in coloundra, it has a standard 4k block and head with a 5 speed manual box. i have now done rust repairs on the doors and boot where the major rust was, still a i little bit left and should be all good then. it has low kings in the back with matching shocks, but standard in the front for now yet to buy some. my plans for this car is to completely strip it down and repair everything and spray the whole car, and to put a worked 5k with 4k head. these are the rims that i got with the car, complete set. they where a bit crappy where the crome was so i polished them up, then i still wasnt happy…

I have viewed a few engine conversions that have been done and are in the making but i have seen one that hasnt been mentioned here yet that my mate has done on his ke70,it is a very cheap and fairly straightforward conversion.My mate put 2.6 4g54 sigma engine and 5 speed box (which he scored for free) into his ke70.He fabricated has own engine mounts,moved the gearbox crossmember slightly rearwards,swapped the sigma slip yoke to the corolla tailshaft(sigma and corolla share the same uni joint!!)made a gearbox mount out of an old strut bar bush,exractors were custom made(possibly the dearest part of the job ,standard corolla clutch cable(with a 4kc engine)hooked straight …
