  2. it isnt overly thrashed :D came out of an auto ae82 with about 200k on the clock, doesnt blow smoke but it gets a work out when its due :yes:

  5. Wasnt sure where to post this one. Just wanted to know what a stock 4AC would be putting out in kw? I don't particularly want to embarrass myself by throwing her on a dyno and pumping out a whole 20kw but I'm curious is all. Does anyone know?
  6. that would probably weaken it, and you'd have to rip the engine out to drill them properly wouldnt you? there isnt much room. and as i said when we heated we just sorta flamed it slowly to generate some heat, didnt let it glow red :P
  7. Hey mate, Had the same problem a couple of months ago when my seal went. We ended taking an oxy to it and slowly heated it, then got a large flat screw driver on each side and slowly levered it off. We had to stop and reheat it a few times but persevered, once its off enough we used a Pitman Arm Puller (if you know what it looks like) we just hooked it on behind it and slowly worked it off. Hope it helps.

  9. LOL thats going into my sig. I'm assuming that you already have either or both a 4af and 4ac?? Any combination of the af-ac-ag engine you will think of building will have been done, persevere and you'll find some info I'm sure. Not that I'm much of wiz when it comes to cars but what is the engine for? purely for learning purposes or something you will want to drop into a car? Maybe it would be easier if you want to learn (depending on previous experience) to start by building a 4AC or even the 4AF as they are more basic and then try the GE or cross's... as i said i don't know a whole lot but what i said is just what makes sense to me.

    Hey mate, gotta throw some pics up of the beast. Umm i don't really know much about what your asking and most guys on here are into the older school rolla's. There is some good reading here and maybe also try sydneyrollaclub.com, those boys are into the newer rolla's and plenty have done 20V conversions and are more familiar with sydney and its mechanics etc. Hope this helps. And I'm not trying to poach members for the SRC just seems relevant to what he's asking. cheers

  16. i did the same thing, but used my KE70 radiator and got it recored so its got 3?? not 100% but cost me something around the $400 mark. And while i was at it i hooked a thermo fan up to it so ive never had problems with heat as its adjustable.

  22. Yeah i always have a clublock on mine as well as an engine immobiliser that we rigged up. Ive noticed (only with ke70's as i own one) that when the locks and keys wear i can use my key to open two of my other mates kesevs and one i can even use mine to start his car. I have put Solex locks on since (the kinda wierd ones from supercheap etc with round keys), just adds that bit of peace of mind. and yes any news?
