Watching his back wheels the whole rear axle was being pushed sideways as he slid. You could see his wheel outside the gaurd then when he came out of it it popping back under haha
On my old lancer, I was pulled up in a carpark when a cop pulled in behind me. Gave me shit for my car (wanker) and defect for bald front tyres.
Less than 24 hours later I was undefected. How'd I do it? It ran 13' stockies, rocked up to the cop shop with my mates 15's on the front with barely legal tread and my normal 13's on the back. The cop commented on it but it was all legal so i was on my way canary free
The good thing about the K engines is that they are mostly just plug and play. Drop her in, plug it all together and thats just about it.
I know with the ke30 4 doors, if you get the ke70 gearbox the gearstick will poke up straight through the auto hole. Should be the same with the 2 door but someone else would have to confirm this. Otherwise if you use a ke30/55 gearbox you'll need to cut a new hole.
Why do you think that he has come on here asking questions? He's trying to learn. And as he said, before any lowering happens he's going to find out whats wrong with his cooling system. But just because something is a little bit harder than something else doesn't mean you can't try it anyway. The cooling system is totally different to suspension anyway so comparing it is silly.
Plus what someone may view as a easy task may be relatively hard for someone else. and visa versa.
That's like my mates car, V8 with no exhaust from the cat back at the moment, he started it in the workshop and I couldnt hear myself think for a fair while afterwards.
I'm having a bit of trouble working out where my new spigot bearing goes. As iv converted my auto to a manual I didn't have to take one out so I'm at a bit of a loss. Can I put it on the end of the input shaft and slide the whole thing on or does it need to go into the flywheel before i put the clutch plate and pressure plate on? Pics would help if anyone has any.
My confusion comes from when I was putting it in the flywheel it didn't seem to want to fit, it either was loose (didn't fit smugly) or poked in at an angle if i pushed it in further.
Cheers.
Anyone know any wreckers around adelaide/hills that would have some ke30s? I need the clutch cable that already has a bracket on it + the spring seeing as i can't work out how to get mine on and I'm missing the spring. Or if anyone else has a spare one laying around that i could have/buy.
I'd have to say, if it were me making it less busy, I would get rid of the red stickers, and the paint on the passenger/drivers door, roof racks and possibly the visor. Leave the rest, keep the paint matte black
Hey mate, I did the same thing but in my KE30. Here's my thread: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/49567-ke30-manual-conversion/page__p__508707#entry508707 - I asked heaps of the same questions and it has a lot of helpful stuff.
Pretty much everything from the KE30 and KE55 are interchangeable.
Good luck with your conversion!
I did work expierence at Blackwood Dyno Tune once, hated it. They taught me nothing haha.
Have heard they tune cars OK, but have also heard them dynoing cars and it aint sound pretty.
