  1. Some vids from yesterday's motorkhana...... http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/taz...rkhana/6-12-08/ Firstly - Car still has an open wheeler so I was half expecting to just light the inside tyre all day. Little bit of clutch kicking and it was kicking out quite well. Little bit un-predictable though. Was running higher boost for the first couple of patterns, knocked it back down to about 5-7psi and it was a bit less of a handful. Right, now onto my fuel surging problem. As the outlets for my fuel cell are on the drivers side of the tank, when ever you corner hard to the right you can hear the lift pump run dry. This is noramlly handy as it gives you some indication as to how much fuel is left as I have no fuel guage. The first pattern we did was ALL right-hand turns!!! You can see in that first vid that it only took a couple of hats to run the surge tank dry and start coughing and spluttering. It's really hard to keep a car sideways when you have no power!! :D It think the issue is more so the lift pump doesn't pump enough volumn, so I will replace this with maybe a much bigger carter pump soon and I should be sorted. :'( Apart from that the car ran faultlessly all day again. I so loving the reliability of this package now. You just get bit in and drive. :P Oh yeah.....and it loves the limiter!!!! :D that was set at 7000rpm.
  2. Good day yesterday, only 14 cars in the motorkhana (well sorry 14 drivers) but that meant we got through it pretty quick - Got 3 patterns all done befor lunch!! :D Was also quite good to be out there with the drift guys aswell. We shared lunch (BBQ), but we started a bit befor them, and they started up again later than us. So we got to watch a bit of drift, and they got to watch a bit of Motorkhana. Anyway here some vids for the day. I got the guy in the CRX to video my runs, so I took a few of his for hime to. There's also a couple of vids of the purple GTR and a Datto as they were entertainment. Wish I had of got a vid of the GTR for his second pass through 4th pattern (square slalom), he was still trying to wear flat spots out of his tyres so did a donut around each hat!!! :'( I'll put the comments for my driving/car in my Tar thread - I discovered I have a small fuel surging issue. :P http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/taz...rkhana/6-12-08/
  3. Sorry to hear that buddy. Some more info on the commonwhore might help too. Eg, model, colour, and rego plate (though this has probably been removed/swapped by now). Hope you get the tools back. :'(
  4. Thats why you have an "increase RPM" pedal on the far left. :hmm: The one on the right just holds the RPM when you're there!!
  5. My leaf packs sound about the same as yours, except I have TRD 8 way adjustables from an AE86. These are the long-stroke versions, and I want to get some short stroke ones as they have a bit too much "up-travel". Oh, and fit a rear sway bar if you don't have one already.
  6. Round 2 MSCT Motorkhana at Symmons Plains this Saturday 6th December. TARMAC event, in the pits. Also on the track MSCT Drift Practice Day. BBQ Lunch available Check out the attachments or www.msct.com.au for all the details Or phone Carmen on 0400 102 809 2008_MotorK_Entry_form.pdf Motorkhana_Flyer_06.12.08.pdf Motorkhana_Supp_Regs_06.12.08.pdf Would love to see as many of you as possible there.
  7. Don't need to box the charade carby as its from a carby turbo car. Just use the stock hat and you're set.
  8. That help?
  9. Sounds like a lazy mechanic to me!!!! So rather than spending an hour to pull the carby apart and give it a good clean, he would rather put your timing out by 180o and possibly do worse damage to the engine!! :hmm: Intellegent.
  10. Looks tops Teddy, although would be good to see it in a full-light shot. oh, and does your neighbour have an A/C fettish!? :hmm:
  11. Dude. You haven't spend much time searching have you!!?? :hmm: Have you read through the FAQ? Tip - Look for a reference to machining rocker posts for hydraulic cams.
  12. Mutolix - Thtas the setup thats on youtube with the charged whining off its head isn't it? I could find the vid. Most likely lasted a day because you didn't retard the timing yeah? Most likely just a BHG!
  13. One on the right looks like the love child of an original Mini and a Dihatsu Sirion!
  14. Nah I hit him up for one a while ago and don't think he wanted to sell any.
  15. I think he did just make an honest mistake. When Matt said they where v8 ones I found and sent him a link of a v8 head, and he pulled it off pretty quick then.
  16. Better change you signature now too mate!! :no2:
  17. To run any sort of multi-coil setup you need to have a "dual pulse" ignition input for the ECU. This tells the ECU where TDC for #1 cylinder is, and it knows the firing order from there. Regardless of weather you're using a CDI system like what Philbey is talking about, you need that dual pulse input. Also, you'll need either 4x ignitors, 2x dual channel ignitors or a 4 channel like a Microtech X4. Ignitors are only really a fast switching, earthing relay so you don't fry your ECU.
  18. Ok so its nearly the end of Movember, who participated? Chuck up a pic of your Mo if so. Here's my effort for the month...... Sombody asked me the other day when I'm gunna cut my ears off!!!
  19. Gabriel the angel fish..... And my GF's dog Raj.....
  20. Have heard of a 5k making 90rwkw with a stock carby. Had the secondary jets in the primary holes and re-drilled secondaries. Never had any experience with boosted asians myself. IF you are going blow through (which you are by the sounds of it - BOV) then yes you need to upgrade the pump and run a RR reg. The only time you don't need to run the RR reg is if you're going draw-through, as the carb in not under pressure. Oh and have you been reading my projects thread? Re BOV discussion?
  21. hahahahaha shades thats awesome!!!! Took me a few seconds to work out how to say/sing the caption, but well worth it. :P
  22. The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing.
  23. Its probably just a 22 spline T50, as they do have a bigger output spline.
