  1. Dellortos, Webers and solexs will all bolt up to the same manifold, AFAIK. I know I've had Dellortos and Webers on the same manifold, so I can't see why Solexs wouldn't fit as well, seeing as people yoink Solexs and put Webers on 2TGs.
  2. I sadly have an illogical aversion to anything with a Ford badge. Unless the letters BDA happen to be involved. :)
  3. Dude, if you don't like it, don't read it. No ones forcing you.
  4. Mitsubishi Mexican Red.
  5. Found the pic on the web. I didn't realise there was a ban on taking pics, and I've worked on airports for 17 years! I think you had someone who was having a bad day, or were you trying to take the pics on a mobile? Either way a bit harsh. 7Shades, the front jack is a steady jack. With a Triple (and indeed most Boeings) you jack under the wings and by the tail. then when you're at height, you add the one at the nose. Planes really shake when you do retracts like that. Not my idead of a good time.
  6. Dude, this thread is older than I am.
  7. Well, you learn something every day.
  8. Hmmmm.... I've never heard of there being "versions" of the Performance ones.
  9. Trawling about the place and i found this. Boeing 777-200 on jacks doing retracts. Outside. I get nervous thinking about jacking up a 737 with out a hangar. Standing underneath is right out, too.
  10. Yep, the legendary Ari "What is behind the back axle is not important" Vatinen. The man has produced some of the greatest one liners produced by any race driver.
  11. I think your customer needs to get some sort of a clue. Col's right, it's about learning the best way to get a car around a corner. Treat it ugly enough, and any car will understeer. My 25 was fairly unattractive, it wanted to be driven on the throttle, preferably whilst looking out of the side window. No attitude= no turning. Treat it right though, and it was quite quick. I'd like to state here and now, there's no way you're going around corners on two wheels.. Tyre's= You get what you pay for. I'd be getting wider ones for a start. Suspension= See above. King's are nice, monroes are fine. Custom are better, koni's/ Bilsteins rock..... keep going up in price and the handling becomes orgasmic. I was told once by a wise man, understeer is when you're looking at what you're about to hit, and oversteer is when you aren't.
  12. That's top dollar for a set of 45's. You could almost buy them new for that. $400 to $500 is a fair price for a set of 40's.
  13. How to kill a few Toyotas...... More Group B.... Pure sound....
  14. .... and another Mineshaft victim. Both got out fine. :) and
  15. Got commitment?? The man has pace.
  16. can't do a novated lease on an old car.... ;)
  17. 1: Please use complete words, and don't shorten SMS style. We don't charge by the letter. 2: A number of people have done it in here, search the engine conversions or members rides section. Search button is your friend.
  18. What rego label states, and what the real weight is are two separate items.
  19. THAT would make me consider a short term lease on the new car... ;)
  20. Repco. Super cheap. Any of those places.
  21. GTi is also 14K more expensive. Would love a Liberty, but Mrs Dwarf is .... erm...... under tall, so she prefers smaller cars. 19 yo's with Daddy's money tend to buy Hyundai's or, if they're feeling upmarket, a Lancer.
  22. Do notice however, I didn't mention the Tiida. That thing is..... well, basically not worth mentioning. Agrre with most of what you've said. Let's face it, if you own a French car and something goes wrong (which it will), you just have to shrug and go "it's French." For a car at the 30K mark, our money (well, the leasing company's) is going on either a 3 or a Golf. You're right about one thing, if you have a fleet, Rolla's are the way to go, however as a personal car, I just can't bring myself to do it. It's just so...... beige.
  23. KE25 rally car. 82hp at wheels. 842 kgs ready to race. TE37 rally car. 110hp at wheels. About 950kgs. I'd tell you the homologated weight, but I'm not home for a few days.
  24. That doesn't change the fact that the rest of the car is as interesting as a slab of concrete.
  25. It's direct competition as I see it are: Mazda 3, Civic/ Accord, VW Golf, Astra, Focus, Pug 207, Clio. Driven them all. They all have pros and cons, but most are a superior product to the Corolla. A couple are outstanding value.
