Dude, nothings happened in this thread for four days. It was assessed and if the protagonists were going to come back and have another go, they were going to be up for tea and biccies with the Mods. The Ralliart Magna was AWD, had poke, and, by all accounts, not a bad thing. The thing was, it had a triple diamond on it and the boot said Magna.

History has not been kind to this type of car. The Ralliart Magna came with much fanfare, and left without much love......

For them to realistically compete in that market, they'd want to have the full complement of driving wheels. No-one would choose a FWD Aurion over a Liberty GT, unless they have unreasonable brand loyalty, or don't know a thing about cars. That's what Mazda did when they released the MPS6, made it go and gave it AWD. If they really do intend for it to compete, it would have to be AWD.

I for one would like to see an AWD system in it, as I reckon 250kW in a FWD is a recipe for the scrub to look like the Aurion colour chart. Do it properly or not at all. One of the options for the old Precision Drive Team I understand came from Toyota and the above H word was used with the above TLA (three lette acronym), sadly nothing ever came about.

I'd start by ringing your local transport authority (don't forget to get the name of the person you speak to :jamie:). They are ultimately the people you're going to have to keep happy. They'll also be able to tell you where you can get a list of authorised engineers, who'll e up to speed with what you have to do. Good luck! R

Whip the head off, could be just a head gasket. Get the head looked at while it's off. If the head is knackd, the rest of the engine probably isn't far behind. If head is still fine, bolt back on and drive off.

*Caution: Personal opinion* I think Solexs make great paper weights. In 16 years I haven't heard anyone say a good word about them. The man I respect most in the lost art of carburetors detests them with a passion. *Opinion ends.*

Dellortos, Webers and solexs will all bolt up to the same manifold, AFAIK. I know I've had Dellortos and Webers on the same manifold, so I can't see why Solexs wouldn't fit as well, seeing as people yoink Solexs and put Webers on 2TGs.
