F**king insane as per usual ! Bet that would have been an interesting ride mate :y:
  3. Good to hear you sorted it out. Old cars can often be a saga, this is just the beginning.... lol Thats interesting to hear, I thought he had to send cars to a bloke down the street to get rwc's done...
  4. Clean little Sprinter mate, nice job. The 'lites' suit the look nicely.
  5. Cool mate, was not sure if you thought I meant paint on flares on the lip of the arches ! lol Anyway good job mate, it has come up really well.
  6. Like your plans and it looks like a pretty good base to start from. Clearly you don't have carparks in mind with that ride height ! lol
  7. Just to clarify, I meant inside the arches. As you can see in the above picture, the old grime and that stands out against the nice new paint. I think that little tidyup bits make the world of difference. When I have done stuff like that on mates cars it has improved the overall look a heap.
  8. Came up pretty well mate, good work. Have you thought about painting inside the wheel arches black, to neaten up the look ? Out of interest, what specs are those rims and tyres?
  9. Looks pretty clean mate. There are a few of these in my area but they are fairly run-down. Would be a great candidate for a sleeper, but I spose it depends what your into...
  10. Coming along well as usual mate. I see you have been having fun with paint stripper  Geeee that can be a prick in the little nooks and crannies ! Keep the pics coming mate, gonna be a very tough streeter that will haul some serious arse.
  11. Nice work. I like the look of a neat engine bay (hidden wires etc). Do you plan on much other bay smoothing etc ?
  12. Not sure what they are, I quite like them though.

    Ke20 :>

When I saw the subtitle "Now with purple steelies" I thought ohhh no, god no ! With the centre caps and trim rings it looks suprisingly good though. The thin line of purple breaks it up a bit. Still not my thing, but came up alright.
  14. Bit of a bugger about the diff, should have no problems with an R31 one though. Spose an LSD is a bonus as well...
  15. Lol, forgot about that :) for some reason I thought she still had the stocko engine/cam combo still.. That will teach me to not look at the build for a while !
  16. +1. Shaved aerial, badge and other holes often clean the look up a great amount. Lol at the XU-1 comment Ken, might need a nice lumpy cam for that!
  17. Nice 20 mate, looks really clean and original. Keep it as is.
  18. Spot on Matt ! I think organising a cruise is a great idea. Geee who would of thought that us bunch of "rudef@$ks" could be hospitable and welcoming ?
  19. Good luck with it mate. I don't really protest against the laws because most of what they ask is pretty fair and for good reason. His comment was completely unnecessary and rude, and coppers wonder why they have a bad rep with a large amount of motorists ! Chin up and get her back on the road once more.
  20. Lol, what a beast ! Sounds like it has been pretty handy. For a small car they have a suprising amount of space inside.
  21. Lol we used to have the same model, colour and all ! It was one of the cars I learnt to drive in.
  22. Good to hear you are saving another one from rusting away. What are your other plans, and do you plan on doing the paint and panel yourselves ?
  23. Looks pretty clean, would be a nice little daily. I like the plate idea chobis.
  24. Hi guys, have been progressing a little recently but finding time and good weather has been a problem. I have been doing much of the same type of work trying to get things straight. The bootlid is pretty good now the right gaurd not too far away. Recently I have been told by a doctor to stop driving so the pressure is off me in that sense to get it on the road in the short term. (This news is hard to grapple with and infuriates me no end). So I am choosing to be patient and I will keep plugging away at getting things straight before I get around to topcoat in a bid to end up with a tidyer result. Exams are almost upon me once more, so I aim to do little bits here and there and hopefully I will be finishing the paint and panel off late november, and getting it on the road. Going to a few Torana events with mates has also been a motivation to get the panels to a good standard, after both seeing some nice builds and observing some visible faults in panels. I plan on getting it registered before xmas and will rack some ks up over summer with a standard driveline to start with. Due to cashflow problems I will be unable to jump straight into a 5k build, so plan on starting off with getting it to handle properly. From there I am musing about hotting up the 3k a little so I can have a bit more grunt while I am saving. I then aim on building a 5k in my midyear break next June. Of course a 4age or similar would murder a 5k, but I still have the P restrictions to keep in mind. (There is also something cool about a warm period engine). The current laws mean that a simple task such as bolting on a set of extractors is illegal, so obviously engineering a 4age conversion is out of the question. This further convinces me to go for the 5k and try and behave myself, which with any luck will keep me out of trouble with the boys in blue. Won't put any pics up for a little while as not much has changed visibly on these panels apart from application of a bit of primer. B-rad I sure am a member of Tarlow, and was competing with the rest of the crew at mudbash this year. ;) Are you connected to rovers at all ?
  25. Nice 36, shall make for quite a practical fun car. Thought of doing up the 5k for a bit more poke?
